I needed a bulb for a projector manufactured in the 60’s. I received a timely email response from Porters about the correct bulb to order. I received the appropriately packaged bulb in a few days which has worked as expected. Overall, smooth transaction. Price was reasonable compared to other limited options.

We purchased a Panosonic PV V4521 4-head VCR to watch our old VHS tapes, and decide which to record digitally. The first one came and worked for one tape, and after a call, Porter's told me to return it. Within 2 weeks I had a new one that works great! What fun! Getting help now with the VHS to Digital unit...hoping to get it going soon!

Im one who is often JOKED that I STILL have VHS movies (I ignore them) ....so if ur reading this then you do too.

EXCELLENT customer service from tech Paul. Fast shipping, lives up to their "about us", return was easy and efficient-NO SHIPPING CHARGE-immediately sent my FedEx rtn form via email to print off. I placed the VHS machine back in it's original box, off to FedEx, easy peasy (first machine didnt work properly, Paul called to help via phone-still didnt work) he was polite and easy talking, didnt make me feel like a bozo (because I am when it comes to electronics)
Second machine arrived promptly and worked great! Well pleased because everything, the whole process was fast and smooth. Even came with clear, detailed instructions/pictures. I received a remote with my player as well. I would DEFINITELY use PE again and yes I recommend them!!

We ordered an 8mm projector to transfer our old movies to DVDs. The unit arrived well packed and looked and operated like new. After a number of hours the bulb burned out and the folks at Porter sent us a new one the same day we called. Great customer service, great product.

Needed a new bulb for an old Argus slide projector. Had ordered one to come from Japan a number of years ago. Never arrived. Tried Porter and had the bulb in a few weeks. Took some time in crossing the border but seems to be working well. Have only used for a short time but all is good to this point.

Great experience with Porter Electronics. I purchased a used Kodak Carousel projector from Porter but when it arrived, it malfunctioned and would not properly project slides. I contacted Porter and explained the problem. Without any hesitation, Porter quickly arranged to send me a replacement projector at no cost to me. Porter paid all costs of shipping the original projector back to Porter and the replacement to me. The pleasant surprise was that the replacement that Porter sent me not only was higher quality projector than the one I purchased but also appeared to be a new projector.

I purchased a panasonic vhs/dvd player/recorder combo and the dvd recording function wasn't working. After Porter Electronics tried helping me online with trying to figure out why it wasn't working, they issued me a replacement. I'm waiting on the replacement (sony) unit but so far my experience has been a good one with them. They show they care about not only their customers but also keep their word on their warranty (which is really important). Update!: I received my Sony replacement player/recorder and couldn't be happier. The unit is working with no issues so far! The unit was $50 more than the previous panasonic unit but worth it!

I found that it is very hard to find a reliable place these days to purchase certain items like VCR's just to mention one. Porter Electronics to me has been a bright and shining star. If you are looking for the hard go find item, you can count on them to not only have it, but the item is in great condition. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fortunately I chose Porter Electronics from the choices given while searching for a dual 8mm projector. It arrived as described. There was an issue with the bulb, though nor fault of their own, it was resolved right away, with plenty of follow up to ensure satisfaction. It showed me how mindful they are about their reputation, thus from now on will be my first choice when in need of electronics.

After a long search I found Porter to have a replacement lamp for a very obsolete Kodak slide projector.

I received the item (slide projector) quickly and extremely well packaged. Works great. Very happy.

I ordered a bulb/lamp for an old slide projector - happy to find it at a reasonable price. Service was quick, packaging was very secure. The bulb burned out almost immediately. I contacted CS, and they assured me it was warrantied and send another right away. VERY satisfied - that one worked fine, and I would recommend Porter Electronics wholeheartedly!

I was looking for a black canon AE1camera case but noted a brown one was displayed on site. After confirming with Paul that there were no black ones at that time, I ordered the brown canon AE1 camera case. When I received my order, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a replacement projector bulb for my old 8mm projector. The product was received in good condition, however I determined that the problem was with my projector, not the bulb. I was able to return the bulb and received a refund without a stocking fee. I appreciated the service I received and would use this company again.
