Terrible experience post office savings

Opened a savings account and pin number didnt work so was locked out.

Went online and had to call them as not online fac ility to reset passcode.

Eventually spoke to someone who didn't speak good english so couldn't understand what they were saying. Eventually told they couldnt reset set passcode, they have to post a new one out to me for security reasons.

Complete nonsense and is more likely to be intercepted than doing it online.

After so much hassle decided to cancel the savings plan but you cant cancel for at least 8 days after investing.

Absolute joke

Belfast High Street Post Office is a dump

Place has turned into a dump recently. Hardly any staff or staff counting paperclips, coming down with "up selling opportunities…" boxes and boxes sweets, chocolate, popcorn, vapes, rubbish toys, cheap perfume, etc. etc., long queues, lights out, handmade signs, dirty, the four automatic postal vending machines haven't worked for months meaning you have to queue and queue; I could go on and on. It wasn't ever great but since being privatised it's going down substantially. It took me over 10 minutes just to buy a first class stamp! Saying that my local postie is excellent.

Llanfairfechan Post Office

Post office staff (woman) has abysmal manners. Simply abysmal. Be prepared if you are going to use the post office section at this store.

Shocking lack of empathy and respect at Southgate Branch

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the Southgate branch (64 Chase Side).

The staff are incredibly rude and lack basic emotional intelligence. Despite being a loyal customer for over a year, I was treated with zero empathy during a simple currency exchange and deposit. They refused to assist with a minor postcode discrepancy and wouldn't even allow a moment of internet access to show my banking app. They act like robots, ignoring human common sense and professional courtesy. It was a humiliating experience.

Lack of customer service and accuracy

First I was told off for turning up at 12:25 to send my parcel when the post office counter closed at 12:30. When I was given the options of how my International parcel could be sent it was with a very negative tone that the lady advised me that she couldn’t possibly send it by Royal Mail because it was over 2 kg.
She repeated to me several times in a very negative tone that because it had to be sent by courier she could not guarantee that it would arrive which led me to ask was she suggesting I did not send my package? No care was given to ensure my delivery was taken care of. After writing the destination address on the package myself in block capitals, the lady at the counter managed to get the name and the address of the recipient incorrect. I only found this out later when I saw my tracking details because she didn’t show me the label that she had typed. This was the second time in three weeks that I was treated like an absolute nuisance on trying to send my packages.

Zero stars regarding attitude of tall Asian Male that refused to help me a white woman get a job at Woodhall Pudsey Post Office.

I visited Woodhall Park Post Office (Premier Stores) at 350 Bradford Road, Pudsey on and asked the member of staff behind the counter for help about applying for a job there.

He was unwilling to provide any assistance or details about vacancies or how to apply.

I was left with the clear impression that they were not open to applications from me. The interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful.

This is a Post Office service point that the public relies on, and the lack of basic help with job opportunities at the same location is disappointing.

Would not recommend for anyone looking for fair treatment when enquiring about work.

I am give one because I did not find…

I am give one because I did not find zero, a letter was sent by the local authority of Islington to my address that was regarded to a PCN issued in May 2024 then in the end of 2025 I received a phone call from a Bailliff charge the PCN which I was not aware another case was that I lost my wallet which was found by someone who handed to the Liverpool Police station therefore the police sent me a letter which I also did not receive within a week then the police sent me again after a month which I received then I arrived to the police station they told me that it was the second letter they had sent. I live in the building number 23 and now and then we receive letter which supposed to be delivered in another road but also number 23 as this happening constantly as I can take to right address or put it in a red post office box it seems the people who work with Ealing Post office are not sober while they select the address of letter. Now I do not know who is held responsible for the overcharging and bailliff cost that occurred over the letter not delivered.

Parcel not received. Apparently it was delivered to my safe space. I do not have a safe space. Last time a delivery was left at my front door. This is the third time this has happened. Worse than EVRI.

Postman needed stolen pink candles

So this time the postman needed stolen pink candles. What do you think he needs them for? He didn't even bother to come to the address, he didn't leave a note, nothing. Since I have CCTV 24 hours a day, no one came, it's all a lie. I will contact the head office. And maybe even the business owner. And to make matters worse, the day after that the post office sent me a message saying I had to pay an extra 1.5 pounds to get my pack of candles. Great, we're not all that stupid, just trying to scam customers and get ripped off. So enjoy. And I'll tell that 9-year-old girl that her postman stole her birthday cake candles.

24/04/2026 Romford Post Office,The Liberty.Soon after opening time I was attended by a tall, possibly Asian man.
The office was quite busy and I did not expect to have a digital Passport on demand.
However I was dealt with efficiently and in a friendly manner, and was gone in no time.Excellent service.

Hilton, Derbyshire Post Office Counter

The lady who works in my local post office in Hilton, Derbyshire is amazing. There does not seem to be anything she does not know - always helpful and she happily shares her knowledge. No matter how big the queue she is never fazed and does a great job.
I note that people are quick to complain because they have had to wait 5 minutes or their letter was not delivered immediately but the counter staff can only do their own work - they are not the CEOs of the company so give them some support and don't just rush to give a bad review, when the work is good, give a positive review.

Poor experience at this Post Office

Poor experience at this Post Office. Long waiting times, lack of communication, and staff who appeared uninterested in helping. It felt disorganised and frustrating from start to finish. I expected a much better standard of service.

Shockingly poor

Shockingly poor. "We couldn't access your address". They've been doing gas works. There are a few traffic cones but it's otherwise completely accessible, if they had only bothered to try. So now, it's my problem to do their job. Why even bother? just shut up shop and give it all to Fedex or something. Useless.
