Complete waste of time
When the Royal Mail made a series of clerical errors and failed to deliver an international parcel to us (which our postlady traced and delivered once we had described the delivery office's error to her) and one of their Sunday Parcel Force delivery staff left parcels for us which weren't addressed to us, when I tried to resolve the errors the local delivery office told our postlady that we had lodged a complaint against her. I phoned them to complain but after a series of phone calls totalling over 2 hours during which they demonstrated disinterest and incompetence, I submitted a formal complaint via their online form. A series of emails followed where they repeatedly ignored the questions I was asking so I passed the case on to POSTRS. They proceeded to decline to read my complaint and repeatedly told me to report the international package to the sender as lost. When I eventually persuaded POSTRS to read the complaint they reported that they were unable to do anything and too much time had elapsed since I had reported the issues.
There seems to be little reason for them to exist when they primarily earn wages from causing inconvenience and failing to achieve anything that is constructive.
