We would like to address some points raised in a recent online comment, to ensure clarity for anyone interested in working with us.

1. We are a government-regulated fashion model agency. This means we operate under UK legal guidelines and industry standards. Our models pay a refundable deposit, which is returned at the end of their 12-month contract, provided the agreed terms are met.

The deposit safeguards our investment of approximately £3,000 per model, which covers professional airbrushed photographs, a high-quality video showreel, and catwalk training. This is also why our models sign two contracts, one for representation and one outlining the deposit terms.

We have noted that our Instagram page previously stated we are “not an agency” and that we “find the model an agency.” This wording was outdated and is currently being updated.

2. Occasionally, clients request extra materials (e.g., specific photos or videos) from models they are considering for work. In such cases, we simply pass these requests on. Models are free to accept or decline.

For example, D-Robe Outdoors recently requested additional content from certain models. Those who provided the requested materials increased their chances of being booked, and one model successfully secured a job.

3. We wish to reassure all models that deposits are refunded in line with the contract terms. Suggestions that we do not return deposits are incorrect.

4. We fully comply with UK law, which prohibits the use of brand names or imagery without authorisation. If a model is shown wearing branded clothing, the absence of a visible logo does not mean the item is not genuine.

5. We are proud to offer services and training that go beyond what many other agencies provide. However, our way of working may not suit everyone. We encourage prospective models to understand our process before joining, so they can make an informed decision.

We never engage in practices of repeatedly requesting money outside of agreed terms, the RSD (refundable security deposit), that is insurance for the some of the services that we provide to models signed to our agency.

We would like to clarify the situation with the facts:


1. “You should not have to pay an agency money”
Really? Clients often request a model's professional photographs, video reel, and confirmation that they have received catwalk training before deciding whether to book them. These assets are essential to securing work.

While we cover the cost of producing this material upfront, we require a refundable deposit from the model. This is to ensure they are serious about pursuing modelling as a career. We earn our return through commission (20%) on the work we provide. However, if a model is unavailable or unwilling to take on jobs, we have no way to recoup that investment — hence the importance of the deposit.


2. Use of Funds
Yes, the cost of the portfolio shoot and video is paid to our associated studio, which is made clear. The deposit is then refunded to the model as long as they comply with the agreed terms — nothing is hidden.

It’s important to remember that professional photographers and videographers must be paid for their services. The model benefits from their expertise, as the resulting portfolio is essential for securing work.


3. Transparency & Regulation
What the post conveniently omits is that we are a Government-regulated agency. Every contract issued to our models has been reviewed to ensure their protection and fair treatment.

The post also fails to explain how, exactly, a model would not receive their deposit back — because there are clear terms in place that ensure fairness for both parties.


Sadly, there are individuals who dream of becoming a model but expect it all to come free of cost. That is simply not the reality of the industry.

When you initially approached us with interest in becoming a model, you willingly invested in getting to our agency—whether via train, tram, Uber, or another means. That’s because you saw value in the opportunity.

Like any serious profession, modeling requires personal investment. High-quality photography, video reels, and training are all essential tools in building a successful modeling career. These services come at a cost, just as they would in any industry where presentation and skill development are key.

We understand that paying for these things can raise questions, and unfortunately, there are scams in the industry. That’s why we’re proud to be fully government regulated, operating transparently and ethically.

Hello Kesha,


Thank you for your post, albeit negative and unfortunately quite misleading.

You visited us, presumably with the intention of becoming a model. In doing so, you willingly paid for your train fare and possibly tram services. Yet, when it comes to investing in your modelling career, there seems to be an expectation that everything should be free. We find this rather confusing.

Please allow us to clarify how a model agency operates. A client will typically express interest in a particular model, at which point they ask us several questions about them. This is precisely why we require all our models to attend an in-person meeting with us at least once.

If the client is satisfied with the information we provide, they then request all available photographs of the model. They may also ask for a professional video, which allows them to see how the model presents on camera and moves naturally. In many cases, they will also inquire whether the model has received catwalk training.

If the client is happy with all of the above, they will then ask us to contact the model to confirm their availability for the assignment. This is how professional modelling opportunities are secured.

Providing these services incurs significant costs; approximately £3,000 per model. These include the production of high-quality photographs, video footage, and catwalk training. Models receive copies of all materials produced for their personal use. We only earn income when a model secures paid work, through a 20% commission.

The upfront contribution we request from models is refunded at the end of the contract period, and is required as a security measure. Without this, we would be taking considerable financial risk, especially if a model is unavailable to fulfil assignments.

Regarding the claim that we were misleading: this is simply untrue. We clearly inform all prospective models. First verbally during the initial phone call. Then again via email. And once more in person that our fees begin from just £100. We do not proceed with the interview until the individual has confirmed their understanding and agreement. Unfortunately, it seems this important context was omitted from your post.

Finally, it is worth noting that we are fully regulated by the Government. This ensures transparency, fairness, and accountability in all our dealings. We operate strictly by the book, as any deviation would result in immediate closure. While no one is obligated to engage our services, it is important to recognise that most things cost money.
