Warning: Systemic Rejections & Uncompensated Labor

To anyone considering becoming a contributor for the Premise app, use extreme caution, particularly for "Locate" or "Explore" tasks requiring in-store photography. While the app offers a chance for supplemental income, my experience shows the business model contains structural flaws that routinely lead to uncompensated labor and unjust task rejections.

The Core Problem: Uncompensated Work Tasks are frequently rejected through an arbitrary or overly strict Quality Control (QC) process, even when all instructions are followed. This is especially problematic when the app’s requirements directly conflict with real-world policies that contributors must adhere to.

The Retailer Conflict Flaw (A Structural Barrier) In multiple instances, particularly at large retailers like Walmart, store policy explicitly prohibits customers from taking photos of products. When I was informed by an on-site employee to stop taking pictures, I complied immediately and submitted the task with a full explanation of the conflict. Shockingly, the task was still rejected by Premise QC.

This reveals a deep structural flaw: Premise’s system punishes the contributor for doing two things simultaneously required by the platform:

1. Accepting a task that demands in-store photography.
2. Adhering to local, on-site store policies (which is mandatory for safety and legal compliance).

The result is that the time, gas, and effort spent traveling to and completing the task are wasted, forcing the contributor to perform unpaid labor.

The Ironic Commitment to Human Rights The structural flaw of uncompensated labor stands in profound opposition to the company’s own ethical standards. Premise Data Corporation’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement affirms its "steadfast commitment to respecting Human Rights and upholding ethical labor practices." When a platform is designed in a way that systematically ensures work is done without pay, that practice is a direct contradiction of a commitment to ethical labor.

Lack of Transparency: The rejection process lacks transparency, offering little detailed feedback, and appeals often fail to address these core systemic issues. The company seems to prioritize an inflexible quality control standard over recognizing legitimate real-world obstacles inherent in their task design.

Verdict: The high risk of rejection and the routine probability of performing uncompensated labor make this platform unreliable and financially hazardous. The structural flaws and punitive rejection system must be fixed before Premise can be considered a fair or legitimate source of income.

As a Nigerian I made at least 100k from the app

Well am giving it a 4 because for all their withdrawals I got paid, although I experienced a lot of cash out failed but at the end I still withdraw.. I guess that was a network error. The problem I have with them is the fact that as a Nigerian there are not much survey.. the survey that are usually available really have low price tags... At such you need to have a lot of surveys to earn a reasonable amount of money. The highest paying survey for me in Nigeria that I have seen Soo far is that of visiting specified locations and taking pictures.. then each task was 1k per task .. and I will sincerely say I earned up to 70k from that particular section... (They will usually give over 300 of that kind of task) lots of them might be in a very far location but there few u will definitely see around you

High paying task does not come often but then I think it's the most legit free survey paying app that I have seen on the Internet
They have good customer service too

They send you to a location to do a…

They send you to a location to do a task. You spend the time driving to the location and start the task. You spend time answering questions and taking multiple pictures and then you get to a question that you cannot answer because the options aren’t there. (ie..they ask for store hours but they are not listed on door or online and place looks to be temporarily closed)
Because the only options are Mon-Fri I could not answer the question so I will receive absolutely nothing. Most apps pay at least a portion of the promised pay.
Don’t waste your time, energy and gas with this app there are way more that are way better options out there.

Barely any surveys and low pay

I got only one survey in a span of two years, checked the app everyday, even when I moved between cities. Within the last three months I got two surveys with pays that wouldn't by any stretch cover my transport fare to the indicated location.

Scam Exploiting Users for Free Labor

Premise app's initial appeal fades as consistent rejections become apparent. Even when barcodes match and tasks are completed promptly, they find reasons to deny payment. Timed-out claims, wrong products, and unclear photos - all unjustly cited. Attempts to reason with support prove futile; blame is shifted onto users. It's disheartening to see a platform meant for mutual benefit resort to exploiting contributors. Approach with caution, as Premise seems to prioritize avoiding payments over fair compensation for users' efforts.

Fraudulent/Dishonest Conduct - Stay Away

Fraudulent and dishonest conduct: this app arbitrarily rejects some tasks submitted to artificially inflate the number of tasks you have to conduct to cash out. I went to support and they could not give me a specific explanation for the rejection, even though I was sure I followed the instructions and answered honestly and earnestly.

Don't waste your time on this app.

FRAUDULENT

Been trying to withdraw £10.45 for 2 days now. I thought I'd give them a final chance. Don't even reply to my messages, apart from the occasional nonsense about it being worked on around the clock.

Absolute rubbish. Do not waste your time.

AWFUL

AWFUL! One word to describe SCAM! I downloaded the app two years ago because it was recommended to me by an IG influencer I follow. The task was surveys at first, then if you could do a survey in a month it was a lot, becuase most of the time the task available were empty, for the surveys they only paid quarters (well if you have the lucky to cash out the money). So I was answering the surveys and when I realized they weren't paying, the task appear as rejected, for that reason I contacted the support team and the response was that the address on their end was Canada but that's incorrect so basically I was answering the survey for free, because I didn’t see money for that. For showing my disagreement they suspend my account. So be careful because once you are suspended you lose your money because they don’t let you to cash out your money. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME
