We ordered from Pret
We ordered from Pret, 39th and 7th avenue for a meeting with Bankers. First of all they do not deliver. Second, none of their food is labeled!!! I picked up several different types of wraps, sandwiches and none of them said anything outside. You don't know which animal you are eating! Turkey, pork, beef or chicken ???? How hard is it to mention the name, calories, etc as everybody else. Will never order again. The staff is not friendly
Sorry! I would go to Cosi or Subway to order sandwiches next time.
Never order for a delivery
We made a mistake of ordering food to be delivered in our for a last minute meeting organised for 12 people. As usual there were different dietary preferences i.e. Vegetarians, Halal and so on. 80% Food was delivered, 20% missing which we had to chase, but most surprising there were no labels and ingredients anywhere on any of the items (sandwiches, wraps, or salads). So some ate and some just ended up with fruits and drinks. A lot was wasted as no one knew what it was. Terrible delivery service unless you are eating / picking up for yourself. Not ready for ordering for more than one person. Else ready for guess work.,
convenient
Fast service, fresh and healthy food! Great option when you are on the go
A code for toilets
I went in for some drinks and had to type in a code to use the toilet. I felt like I was in a prison. If this is the service they are offering, I will go elsewhere.
Pret A Manger
After the recent scandal with Pret A Manger in Britain when Natasha Ednan-Laperouse died due to the fact that one of the ingredients she was allergic to was not fully named on the packaging it really does degrade my rating.
Clearly as a food restaurant company you need to outline ALL of the allergies which could be present of the meal. It needs to be clear to anyone: even people with poor eyes and maybe could be established in a book or a guide that people could ask for. But clearly they failed.
Before this happened I was on my way to Greece for a holiday I ate from Pret A Manger which was pretty quality not going to lie. It was very good food to eat on the plane and the quality was very good. The prices were not that bad. Of course it would have been expensive due to the fact that they knew if people were entering the shop they would be buying.
Overall that is one of the few experiences I have had of Pret A Manger but still..... it was not amazing.
Address allergies please.....
nice coffee and service
popped in for a coffee at Stratford upon Avon branch....had a excellent coffee and service from Cristina ...enjoyed my stay and will visit a pret again ..
Pret regret...with a side of food poisoning
This take-out managed to ruin my Birthday weekend. Having eaten the same as my partner for a week the only difference was the Crayfish and Avocado Sandwich I had twice that week in the King's Cross store and this one. I was ill for three days and could only manage to consume water in the time. I hear it's known as the 'Pret Regret' in the food industry and they still do nothing about it. I had the same verbatim reply from two separate customer service agents at Pret. Despite unequivocal evidence my food poisoning was caused by them I had to constantly chase them up for responses. Needless to say they did everything they could to wriggle out of responsibility. After at least two deaths from foods consumed in their stores I would have thought they would have been a little more attentive. Shame on them!
"Our Safety Team have now completed their investigations and I wanted to share an update with you.
The Safety Team have reviewed the delivery temperatures for the ingredients themselves, along with the temperatures of our fridges, freezers, and chilled display cabinets. These temperatures are taken regularly throughout the day. The temperatures for the day in question and also for several days beforehand were all normal and within range. On this particular day we sold 15 Crayfish & Avo sandwiches and we’re pleased to report that we have not received any similar complaints. There have also been no reports of Team Member illness. With these results and the absence of any further medical information, we can only conclude that your illness was not as a result of the Crayfish & Avo sandwich. The Safety Team has concluded that this was an isolated incident.
Although occasionally food poisoning is due to the last meal that was eaten, this is often not the case, and depending on the type of food poisoning, the contaminated food may have been consumed 5 or more days previously.
That being said, clearly you have suffered a very unpleasant illness and I understand your concern. I can confirm that our investigation did not highlight any breakdown in food safety procedures on that day or in the days preceding the incident. Regardless of the result, our Safety Team have followed up with the general manager of the shop to ensure that they’re adhering to the correct health and safety standards. "
I have received many wrong coffees and…
I have received many wrong coffees and some mixed up items with wrong labels but have been very forgiving until the recent discoveries.
In light of the recent customer deaths and how badly Pret dealt with it until it became public, as well as the news reports including a Sunday Mirror undercover investigation into horrific work conditions, I will not only boycott, but avoid Pret. It doesn't seem what it is on the outside. It is better to return and support small businesses.
Bed bugs (or worse) in Pimlico branch - not a care from managers at all
So i visited a branch that is on 2 Warwick Way, Pimlico, London SW1V 1RU 3 months ago. Usually Pret restaurants are ok, no issues other than slightly (or grossly) overpriced food and coffee that takes ages to come, depending on where you buy it from.
However, during our visit we sat at a table that is touching the exposed brik wall, a design farce that needs to end at some point. Exposed bricks are nice, but only a couple of minutes after we sat down, my partners hand started showing massive hives of some sort of insect bites. When i told her that it is impossible for bed bugs to live on a wall of a restaurant we went back to our food, thinking something bit her at home or outside.
Boy were we wrong. While eating, i caught something moving on the wall with the edge of my eye and rest assured, there were tiny insects (too tiny to understand what they are) that jumped in and out of the exposed bricks and through cracks to bite unassuming customers. Obviously, we moved immediately once we saw that and we reported this to the store manager, pointed exactly where this happened and showed them my partner's arm that was full of bites that kept growing. (if you ever had bed bugs you would know what i mean - horrible).
The manager took our details with a promise of coming back to us with more details and that was it. We never heard back and we were extremely polite in pointing this issue out to them in a corner of a shop, not loudly, so they can get it resolved without much drama or the whole restaurant fleeing in panic.
It is almost December now and there is still no word from them. Not caring manager? Not caring upper management? You DO realise that i can report this to the Food Standards Agency, right? Just saying....
I am rating 5 star without any doubts…
I am rating 5 star without any doubts for PRET A MANGER UK . Very dilicious food and very good service.
Cheapest good coffee around and great service
I don’t buy the sandwiches or any of the food, but a cup of filter coffee for 99p a time is unmatched by any of the “big” coffee brands as far as I know. Always so friendly too - and I’ve even had free drinks off them when they’ve not served me in double quick time. Try it!
I like the food fine
I like the food fine, plus they have plenty of tomato free options!
Spacious stores but quite costly compared to Greggs
Some of the Pret A Manger coffee stores are quite massive and spacious with good interior design giving welcoming look to customers. Also these stores are conveniently located near major train stations and city centre. However, PRET is too costly compared to other coffee chains like Greggs. Plus tried to check an app for PRET, couldn’t find one in Apps Store. Not sure if they even do any Rewards deal for their loyal customers.
Pret made me ill and suicidal - Bullied during bereavement
I am a former Pret employee, London (10 yrs).
Pret is a bullying company forcing staff to smile no matter what. Staff are pressured by weekly Mystery Shoppers and are penalized if they don't score high points. Most managers are discriminating, bullying, unfair, staff are overworked and not paid for overtime. Corrupt HR dept.
I was bereaved and bullied during grief. Pret's HR dept. then tricked and trapped me and I became ill writing countless emails in trauma. I was subsequently fired 3 days after Christmas 2017 while my father was in intensive care just out of a coma.
I compiled countless staff complaints on my website LateNightGirl dot Org under "Open Letters to Pret" / "Pret Staff complaints or tinyurl dot com/y8rtsnp7
That is why customers are confused on why staff are hyper friendly one moment, and miserable the next.
Great 99p coffee....avoid their 'hidden' costs.
Great 99p coffee. Everything else is over priced. What on earth were they thinking making such excessive extra charge to sit in. I use to visit regular for breakfast, but now it is only for their great value filter coffee. You can't help but think this will inevitably ruin the company in the current economic climate as customers now eat else where.
Amazing coffee
Amazing coffee, I like that they use soy milk.
Great work guys
Not sure why people like this...
Excellent food and their staff are even…
Excellent food and their staff are even better.
I have been going to Pret's for years now, they have a good selection of unique and delicious sandwiches, baguettes and their soups that are Out of This World, I have forgotten the number of times staff have offered me a completely free 'on the house' cup of coffee.
Beautiful company!
PRET UK
Have been going here for years - tuna mayo to die for but really wish they would bring it back as a sandwich not baguette
Also some branches staff need to give customers a chance to put change away etc pick their stuff up before going onto the next customer
Pret a Manger UK - Fantastic Service
Although I don't use Pret nearly as much as I would like to, as it's not exactly a cheap place to eat, but I am constantly impressed by the service provided.
The food itself is tasty and freshly made, and the company's practices are sustainable as well as socially conscious (donating unsold food to the homeless etc). Additionally the 2 times (over years of buying from them) that I have been disappointed by the quality of an ingredient they have provided excellent customer service and ensured that the feedback was passed on to the relevant teams.
They take their products and customers seriously, and I'd happily recommend them to someone looking for a tasty treat.
