Be warned - Prime Amazon cons

Be very wary & watchful of your Prime Amazon membership. I'm in Australia, here are 2 really disgraceful things that happened to me:

1) I have a Prime Amazon tv (video) subscription - happened to check my membership one day and realised I was being charged monthly for an additional Paramount+ membership that started at $4.99 per month, then was being charged at $9.99 per month. Had NO idea that I had it, and definitely did not sign up to it. So you could be being charged $10 a month or more, for something you don't even know you have.

2) I thought I had a duplicate account, because there were different purchases on what looked like 2 accounts linked to my one email address. So I deleted one. I had NO idea there was an Australian site and a US site, and I was on both at the same time. Deleting my account removing all Kindle book purchases, and purchase history. And even though I had PAID for the Kindle books, Amazon refused to reinstate them, saying I was warned they'd be gone when I deleted accounts. I had no idea of this - I thought I was deleting my duplicate account, not the 1 account that has both AU and US sites linked. That is really misleading and very unclear - buyer beware!

So they decided to add ads/commercials…

So they decided to add ads/commercials to prime and if you wanted it removed its $2.99 a month what a joke. You already ask us to pay to watch certain shows or remove a serious then say we need to pay $9.99 to watch the rest. Are you nuts? Remember there is IPTV out there and for $79 a yesr we get to watch everything you have and much more for that 1 price. I was a long loyal customer but you pushed me when you told me i had to pay extra to remove ads. So in return i give you no business and non of my money. I have no problem shopping somewhere else especially with your product becoming cheaper in quality as well charging same or more than a store. Enjou your ads bc I know i wont be.

Pay amazon subscription with 3 add ons

Pay amazon subscription with 3 add on subscriptions and now even more of the content is buy or rent. Approx 90 percent. They even changed a season I was almost finished pay for view so I would have to pay 9.99 to watch the rest. It's extortion. Really sad they did this. Instead of using algorithm to provide better service they are using it to charge extra for programs and films they know you will want to watch.

Completely destroyed app.

Completely destroyed app.
DONT BELEIVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR.
8.99 FOR MORE HEADACHES.

Not only do they now have ads every 5 mins it seems. There's so many shows that don't even have half of the seasons. Now a days tubi the free app would be more worth it. Prime needs to be shutdown or fire ceo and workers and start out fresh.

Not renewing my membership when it runs out

Probably the worst scam service out…

Probably the worst scam service out there. You pay for a streaming subscription to series and films, and still most films need to be paid for separately, which you can't see before paying the monthly fee. Also, other series that are free are not available in our region. Scamming company of the year for me. Cancelled subscription months ago, tried to see whether Halo was available in NL, but of course not. Ridiculous company. What is the point of so much money earned to the detriment of so many people?

More expensive than ever!

I am fed up with not finding anything to watch on prime unless I have to pay. My favourite show (new Amsterdam) is now pay per view, and now we have to pay extra if we want to watch certain movies ad free? What exactly are we paying for? Netflix is so much cheaper and no extra charges whatsoever!

Well for starters now prime video is…

Well for starters now prime video is just a platform to introduce new shows giving you 1 or 2 episodes and then .. boom the announcement that if you want to see more you need to pay extra , of course I’m already paying for prime video and of course now I need to pay more if I don’t want commercials and they have the audacity to also charge more if you want to continued watching a show , this is a joke ? Well I cancelled I said f that ! People need to put pressure to these streaming services that just want more and more money from us . It is getting ridiculous.

Good Value for Money

I have had a Prime Video subscription for about 2 months now, and am a satisfied customer. The selection of movies is above average, with some Prime Video Originals that are excellent.
Maybe the catalogue of real "blockbusters" is a bit thin compared to Disney+ or Netflix, but on the whole is is still pretty decent.
The great thing about Prime Video however is the low price and extra features that come with it (free shippping on Amazon, free games,...)
As long as they do not introduce publicity (Ads) or increase the price, they will have me as a loyal costomer

Complete and utter tosh

Complete and utter tosh, unless you like B movies and foreign films dubbed in English.
It's only slightly worse than Netflix these days and both charge you more and you get less new content due to everyone cost cutting, I'll be definitely cancelling my subscription as a new year resolution

Suddenly I am paying for AmazonPrime?

I used Amazon once in my life. I bought a leather case for my camera. I accidentally must have some kind of button, because now they are monthly deducting money from my bank account for AmazonPrime. Anyways, I managed to put a stop to the automatic transactions, but I am pretty sure I will avoid Amazon in the future.

Paying for a subscription and now…

Paying for a subscription and now they’re filling everything with adverts coming full circle back to television and the entire reason I started paying for prime was i don’t want to watch adverts every 5 minutes. Oh but you can pay moreeeee money on top of your subscription to stop this when does it end.

This part of Amazon has gone way down

This part of Amazon has gone way down. It is hard/impossible to navigate their site to find a movie you want to watch. Instead, you are bombarded with images of movies they want you to watch...usually with an extra fee. No reason to get Amazon prime for this.
