Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, amazing time with Dean! Fantastic day with Dean!

Able to book last minute and get exactly what we had hoped for!

Mark’s encyclopedic knowledge of history was exceptional. He expressed himself very well, and navigated the route safely and efficiently. He was pleasant, funny and thoughtful, including a surprise stop at the end of our day for which we were so appreciative. We couldn’t imagine a better guide for our day in the Cotswolds! We’re already discussing where we want Mark to take us the next time!

We contacted Private Tours only about a week ahead of when we wanted the tour and they were able to accommodate us. Our driver, Antony, was excellent, safe, flexible to schedule changes, and courteous! The Mercedes all-electric van was very comfortable for four and all our luggage. The two Blue Badge guides, Sandrine and Mike, were also excellent and we had wonderful tours of Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury.

The whole tour was excellent. The arrangements from hotels to tours was flawless. I would highly recommend Peter as your driver. Being a historian by training he was extremely knowledgeable and added much to the experience. He was also friendly, flexible, and a excellent driver.

Shane was very professional and a very expert and conscientious driver. He showed up right on time and had the right balance of conversation with us while also allow us to rest and enjoy the sights. Highly recommend Shane!

Private Tours was very helpful as I was planning our one day tour of the Cotswolds and their itinerary was perfect.

This was perfect for our family! kyri was really nice and laid back. Having the flexibility to tailor the trip and time to our family was definitely worth it. Especially when driving such a long distance from London.

We recently had the pleasure of using Private Tours England's services during our September 2025 trip to Britain with our family of five. We're thrilled with our decision, particularly with the private transfers and tour guides. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, providing informative and entertaining tours of the cities and towns we visited.

We're also extremely satisfied with our driver, Mr. Peter, who drove us from London to Bath, Liverpool, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Manchester. His humor and expertise made our journeys smooth, safe, and enjoyable. He even shared valuable insights into the UK's history and culture during our drives.

We booked a custom 5 day tour with a private driver guide. We found the Private Tours(PT) very good at listening to what the customer wants and trying to make it happen. I exchanged over 60 emails with Emma, Sandie and Kyle. They responded every time and answered all my questions. I was able to plan a wonderful tour that hit all the places that we were interested in and the prepurchased tickets were sent to my phone each day. The tour with PT was seamless and I did not have to worry about logistics. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Now to our Driver, Dean. Dean is one of a kind and we are so glad he was a part of our tour. He was a wealth of knowledge. Whether it was interesting points of interest we were passing, to history of all of areas of London. He was master of navigating London and its surrounds. He was integral to our success at getting to where we needed to be and he often suggested other places to go that were phenomenal. He made recommendations for places to eat that were amazing.
Our tour was a complete success because of PT personnel behind the screen and Dean who was with us for 5 full days of touring. Thank you to you all.

Shane took the time to customize our tour to what our desires were in our trip to the Cotswolds. Only thing that could have been better was the weather but no one has control over that. Many thanks to Shane!

This was the best planned vacation ever - and I didn’t have to make the plans! While we had a say so in the places we went - we let them chose the majority & they did a fantastic job!! Our driver - Mark McQueen was the absolute best driver ever! We consider him family now. He’s very knowledgeable and professional! I’d recommend this company in a heartbeat!

Overall an easy and helpful process planning the trip. I had already done a lot of thinking on the itinerary before I reached out to Private Tours England, but the recommendations they did make including for hotels were helpful and improved the trip as a whole. Communication was good throughout. The tour guide, Calvin, was great to work with and certainly helped us see a lot more than we would have been able to on our own. Would definitely plan another trip with this company again.

Dean was a great host/driver for our tour of Stratford and Cotswolds. He was very informative and fun to drive us around d. Highly recommend this tour and Dean in particular.

We so enjoyed our 2nd visit to London! We had the good fortune to have the same tour driver, Dean Bowman, for the 2 days of All-Day Tours. He made a great experience a wonderful experience as he was on-time, he knows the city & surrounding areas extremely well, he made nice recommendations throughout as to places, what to see & grabbing a bite to eat. While each tour was exactly what we hoped for it was Dean that made us feel really welcomed to his City & really seemed to want us to have the very best experiences along the way. He lived up to a term we had always heard being he was "a jolly old chap" and provided a OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! We cannot thank him enough for A JOB WELL DONE! We wanted a highly customized 16-day tour of London and southern England. From the very beginning Laura and Sandie were professional, thoughtful and responsive. They made suggestions and then designed the tour based on our numerous phone and email conversations. They selected the driver, the accommodations and the private tour guides, all of which were more than satisfactory. And I would be remiss if I did not mention our driver/guide, Dean, who was with us for the entire tour. A more organized person doesn't walk the earth. Every day, Dean was professional, prompt, and thoroughly prepared, and we could always count on his dry sense of humor to keep us laughing. Dean is a treasure. This was our first experience with PTE but it will not be the last. We intend to contact them to plan a tour of Rome for us sometime next year.

Wonderful experience -
Shane guided us through our entire visit. He was excellent - knowledgeable, delightful and resourceful. The tour guides at the various sites were outstanding resources and allowed us to get even more out of the visit. Highly recommend

Our 10 day tour was well organized with guided attractions at each location. Guides were well prepared, and knew their histories thoroughly. Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor Castle, London, Greenwich, Cotswold, bucket list football game all well planned out. Our driver Dean was the best, he took us everywhere and we really felt that he had out best intentions at heart. Loved it.

We had a wonderful tour of Dover and Hever castle. Kyri was prompt, full of energy, and an excellent driver! He helped keep us on time and safe…all while entertaining us along the way. Susanna, our private guide, was a wealth of knowledge and seemed to know exactly what we would find interesting. Also, working with PTE to design our day was easy and they helped us create the perfect day.

We had an absolutely brilliant day today with Kyri as our driver. Not only was he an excellent driver, but also a fantastic entertainer, sharing fun trivia and sprinkling it with just the right amount of humor. During the 12 hours we spent with him touring the Cotswolds and Oxford, there wasn’t a single dull moment. He also gave us great recommendations at every stop and even took us to a local pub where we had dinner — one we never would have found on our own. Kyri is simply amazing!

Mark McQueen was our driver, from Private Tours of England. He was exceptional in every way. He got us around to every single site that we wanted to see, made sure we were always comfortable and well informed. He narrated what we were passing by, all along the way. He made sure we got coffee in the morning and water throughout the day. We had so much fun!
Our daily specialist guides were just exceptional, especially Mike Heaton who guided us through Stonehenge and Salisbury town and cathedral, and Lori Fisher, who showed us Trafalgar Square, Westminster Cathedral and Buckingham Palace.
We could not be happier! We feel like we made the most of our time in London, thanks to the expertise and warmth of the people from Private Tours England. They were lovely, knowledgeable, warm folks. Wonderful ambassadors for England!
