EDIT: The ONLY thing that let's Proplates down is the lack of communication, the equipment that I have received so far is top quality. My delivery came without the pulley system which I have now found out isn't being launched till March 1st and I can expect mine at some point after that date. If that had been communicated to me before delivery I'd have had no issue but to think you are getting a full delivery and some be missing when you open it is so disappointing. I can't stress enough though the equipment is very good. Will update the review accordingly once I have received the full order.

I really didn't want to leave a bad review of Proplates because I understand how hard running a small business can be especially when your as busy as what Proplates must be right now.

With that being said, I just feel like I'm getting nowhere with them at the moment. I placed an order with them in their black Friday sale and they made it more then clear that orders made in that sale would be dealt with in January. I messaged them on 5th January regarding my order and was told that my order would be fulfilled in January and I'd get an email once dispatched.
So I left it at that until 27th Jan, knowing that my order must be close to being sorted I asked for an update and I was told that my package was due to be dispatched on 3rd Feb.
That date came and went and I was slightly annoyed because I am obviously really looking forward to the new addition to my gym, but I also appreciate the difficulties that a small business can face so I was willing to wait for my shipping email till the end of that week.
4th Feb I got an email from Proplates to say they had some issues in their manufacturing process and to allow an additional 4-8 days for orders.
I then sent another message on 8th Feb to ask if they could give me any update on my order again. I got a reply back to say because of the recent delays my order would now be shipped on the 10th with priority.
Once again the 10th has been and gone so once again I was left annoyed but again I was happy to wait till the end of the week before messaging them for an update on my order again
So after again having no sign of a shipping email I sent an Instagram message this morning. I asked for an update on my order and explained I had an initial shipping date, then I received an email explaining the manufacturing problems, then I explained I was given an updated shipping date and I was sent back a generic reply to say they have had delays and I should have recieved an email last week (clearly showing that whoever replied to my message hasn't even done me the courtesy of reading the message I sent) and telling me I now had to email them to get an update.

I have spent over £1500 on this order which is now two weeks late (from the original promise when ordered that it would be fulfilled in January) and I still can't get any indication off them to give me any idea of when I will get my order.

Ordered the 4th of December and received 9th of February. Nothing poor about this as website states there would be a delay.
The customer service was second to none. Responsive and rapid no matter what i asked. There was confusion with the order and a mobile number would have made things much easier.
I was expecting the barbell and dumbbells to be powder coated along with the plates however after reading back through the emails this confusion was understandable.
The thing that held this back from being a five star is the stencil. It looks great but unfortunately after stacking the plates and removing them quite abit had scratched off.
I emailed asking for what could be used to protect these and was swiftly offered a solution.
I was completely unaware that they would be so vulnerable to coming off in their naked form that a heads up would have gone a long way!

not going to lie the value for money for pro plates products is the best on the market. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for affordable gym gear. However the only thing that has stopped me from placing these as a 5 star is when we did our order around Oct 2020 the communication was poor and it took quite a long time to arrive it appeared that it was a really busy time for them. however having conversations with the staff and other people since they seem to be rectifying these issues. they are a new company that seem to really care about the products. I would recommend going to them as I haven't found that quality for that price and will be placing an order in very soon.

Simple weight plates that work.
Great plates and quality is excellent.
Ideal for anyone who owns a PT business or home gym and is on a budget.
Yes they aren’t proper competition/bumper plates, but for most that’s not a huge issue.
Delivered was also quick given the madness of the pandemic.

I collected my weight plates and Olympic bar and I am shocked how good the quality is great I will definitely be adding alot more to my set up.
I have also noticed that some people have wrote some poor reviews on how long they have waited for there order and I think these reviews are unfair as I think pro plates customer service is amazing they reply quickly to any questions I asked and also sent out up dates via email to inform about delays. Not only are the products great but what sets them apart from other manufacturers is the customer service.

Purchased a selection of weights powder coated as I wanted to keep these outside, with the signature day of the dead stencil. Had a few ideas with my colour selection so I contacted pro plates Instagram prior to ordering who suggested I had a browse on the RAL colour chart if I required a certain colour. After purchasing I was contacted to arrange my collection as I’m local to the warehouse. I was able to collect within 2 weeks and they are amazing never seen anything like them so girlie and definitely worth the money! I went for baby pink plates with Day of the dead in lilac , silver & gold! when I arrived there was no queue, my plates where ready and the lads helped me load the plates into my boot all in all great experience ! Thanks pro plates for putting the passion that I’ve been missing this lock down for training at home !

Today I received my squat rack order at 13:00 which was great and all the pieces look good quality however I am missing the support arms for the squat rack which I did pay £38 for. Disappointed by this and hoping for their delivery and have emailed pro plates to accommodate this

I ordered some 20kg plates, and the service was amazing, products arrived in good time due to the circumstances with COVID.
Products feel great to touch and the plain finish look amazing for a gritty old school look. I would definitely recommend to anyone after weight plates at affordable prices with a excellent finish!
Can’t wait to get my next order on the go

Good product, well made... I did worry for a while that it took a fairly long time to come - I ordered on Black Friday & it arrived late January. They DID say that orders on Black Friday would not be process until Jan so that was as it should be. Fair enough.

The plates are good, the bar is a decent standard. I went for powder coated and handles and they look good. Happy to recommend.

They have been overwhelmed by orders with national lockdowns etc., but a good product at a sensible price & after a little prodding [had to nudge via Facebook messenger] reasonably responsive to my queries.

I collected my premium plates a couple of days ago and I couldn’t be happier with them, brilliant quality and finish. Incredible service from the start of the process to the end, a quick turn around and excellent value for money. I will be back to purchase a squat rack in the future.

Terrible. Put an order in early Jan. Was promised delivery on the week of 1st of Feb. We waited and heard nothing then had to chase the order sending multiple messages which were ignored only to finally be told it still wasn't ready.
Had to get a refund. Don't waste your time with these if you are wanting delivery.

Fantastic products from one of the only companies not profiteering from the Pandemic! Ordered a set of 6 plates early January and was able to collect just under 2 weeks later which was much better than expected. Customer service was really well handled, especially considering how swamped they are with new demand.

The plates are basic but very nicely finished and all I needed for my home gym setup. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for weight plates. Their customisation looked stunning too but I was too impatient to wait for that!

Why pay more? Just get yourself some ProPlates!

My son is over the moon with his birthday present! After a lot of shopping around, we decided to go for Pro Plates due to the “bespoke” option - so we got his name on the plates!
Great service and around a 3 week wait (definitely worth it due to the high quality).

Ordered from proplates & the delivery was so quick! Good quality bar & plates too with reasonable price. Would definitely recommend for lockdown whilst gym is shut as they are just as good if not better than the weights in the gym.

I purchased a 100kg set with 7' Olympic bar with handles and bespoke paint job . Fantastic quality . we had a small problem with delivery as two different logistic companies were used and due to it being the Christmas shutdown and covid related difficulties .
Customer care was brilliant and problem was quickly resolved,even added bonus of a free gift for the inconvenience caused

I ordered “Day of the Dead” range for my premium plates and I cannot fault the quality whatsoever, it’s flawless! I found the customer service team to be extremely accommodating (I’m a slightly fussy customer) and the communication fantastic throughout the whole process.

Given that we are in a global pandemic, I can only commend these guys, they’re doing a fantastic job and everything that they can to ensure their customers are happy!
