Very prompt and friendly. I got an appointment on the same day, and their express service costs only £10, and they string your racket then and there on the spot!

They did a good job overall, and after playing with the racket 3 times already, there was no string movement, but that might be due to the higher tension compared to my other racket (where this was a huge issue). The new tension took a bit of getting used to, but I like it now.

They didn’t seem to account for the specific racket, however, and our discussion about the type of strings I needed felt rushed. The 55 lbs they strung my racket at is within the recommended tension by Wilson, but it sounded like that was the default tension they used for all rackets, rather than tailoring it to the frame's stiffness, and my preference and skill level.

I would come back because of how promptly the service was, but I will do some research and talk to them about my needs and preferences more.

First time using Pro-string. The job was done on time and to a high standard. The issues started when collecting the racket.

Dropping off the racket, I filled in my details and Charles filled in the rest of the form. I wanted my racket restrung and a damper added - which is what I said. Collecting the racket I was slightly confused as my over grip had been changed. I flagged this there and then, I was told not to worry and I could take it away.

The invoice came in with the charge for the grip, I emailed Ray to let him know that there was a mistake and what happened when collecting.

This is when things started to become unprofessional and rather bizarre.

Ray started whatsapping me, sending me a photo of the form asking if I had filled this in. Looking at the photo its clear that it's 2 different styles of writing. I told him again what had happened.

Ray messages me 6 times in a row without me saying anything, stating his colleague had never touched the form.

Rays sends me a mintue and half voice note (again I've not replied yet) basically saying its my error.

I replied saying it's unprofessional to be spamming me with messages and sending voice notes. To which Ray starts apologising, he does so several times.

Ray updates the invoice Sunday night. Great. Then messages me Monday morning asking if I've paid it yet. Does he expect me to pay it in the middle of the night or first thing when I wake up?

Ray has no chill, he cant accept a mistake was made by Pro-String. Not even a minor mistake worth a few pounds. Even after apologising, he still uses language like misunderstanding / miscommunication to apply it was me.

I'd also like to flag that the prices for a damper on their website are not the price they charge in person. Minor issues but yet another thing Ray tried to say was an error my side.

I paid the invoice and told Ray to get a grip, rather on topic I thought.

I'm sure Ray will reply to say I'm wrong and this didn't happen. Happy to send Ray's whatsapp messaging over and voice note if anyone wants it to prove all of this happened.

Fast, efficient, great quality all round. Consultation about string tension / type was really helpful as well. Would definitely recommend.

Quick. Efficient. Affordable -- all sorted in a day (w/express service). Spoke to Raymond on WhatsApp the morning of and he was v.accommodating. Received quote and cost breakdown with little fuss. Went later that evening to Charles in Hammersmith and the 2 x squash rackets were strung to my liking and completed within the hour. An altogether pleasant experience and I will be sure to reach out to Raymond whenever my rackets need some TLC.

Such a great service. Needed two rackets strung for a friendly game the next day. Called at 1930 and had them both ready by 2100 same evening. Didn’t think that was possible. Excited to play tomorrow!!

Ray is like a tennis doctor. He first ran his diagnosis and asked me a few questions to understand my play style and what I was looking for in a racket before giving a couple to try based on my needs.

After that I chose one to buy and he customised it based on my larger than average grip size as well as adding strings that match my playing habits.

I put the racket to the test in both friendly and tournament games and I absolutely love it!
