Money Grubbing to the extreme
I own a 2007 toyota sedan that is paid off. I haven't had any tickets or accidents within the last 5 years and when I purchase insurance, I always pay for it in full at the time of purchase. I purchased a basic policy with Pronto Insurance November of 2024 which cost me $345.88. Yesterday I got a renewal letter saying my policy will expire 5/6/25 and to renew I will need to pay $630.88: $156.70 down payment and 5 monthly installments of $109.78 which each include an installment fee of $15. I called to ask why my insurance went up by $285 since I have a clean driving record, my car is old, fully paid off, and I have the state minimum coverage. I was told Senate Bill 1107 took effect January 2025 so my price has gone up. I asked how much would it be to pay in full up front as I always do to which the representative said the same price. I said it's bad enough that I'm being charges almost double what I paid a few months ago when nothing has changed on my end, but I'm not paying in installments so I shouldn't have to pay installments fees. The representative (who never gave me her name) said everyone has to pay those fees, regardless. I said no, when I pay in full, I don't get charged installments fees. She responded by saying there's nothing she could do. I asked her to remove my card from auto pay and she assured me that it was removed. Today when I called back to confirm my card was removed from autopay, Alejandra said it was still on autopay but that she'd remove it and I could email her to confirm that it was removed. Needles to say, I got insurance with a different company immediately and am paying over $100 less than what Pronto quoted me. I would never recommend doing business with Pronto Insurance.
The ladies were very helpfull
Walked in
Walked in, they’re was only one person working, with no customers in store i was told customers on the phone come first. I walked up after she was done on the phone, i was never greeted. So we walked out. Lost out on a new customer. Horrible customer service.
