Online ordering with preoders = mess

Perhaps they are great in store but ordering online is a mess. Preordered an item that initially has been tagged as shipped and i queried a week later after nothing was received. I emailed their support team to follow up and received no response so i decided to call them. I was advised there was a delay with the shipment from the supplier Asmodee and it was affecting all shops and my preorder will be filled in 1months time which i accepted at the time.

A few days later i learn that this item is widely available in pretty much all shops and they are supplied by Asmodee as well.

Attempted to get a refund since I didn’t want to wait a further month for a product that is widely available. I was now told this item had now shipped 3 days prior and was delayed due to the bank holiday. (Postage stamp confirmed this was not the case)

Finally now have the item a few weeks after everyone else and have upgraded my review from 1 star to 2 stars.

Communication needs to be approved especially as you are taking money upfront for preorders it’s your responsibility to keep customers updated on delays and when items have been shipped so it sets the right expectations.

1 Star - Missing items and no communication

Began at 5 Stars due to decent communication and availability of a game that was pretty much hard to get hold of.

4 Stars because the length of time it took for the package to be sent - was mindful that it was the Thursday before the Easter Holidays but opinion changed when it arrived a week later and other items had been sent the same day got to us earlier.

Dropped to 3 Stars - Package arrived but the Expansion was missing. Rang immediately to confirm item missing - was in hopes something might be arranged. Was not feeling promising on situation so purchased the Expansion from another store instead - extremely lucky they had it in stock since no-one else had it. Cost a further £5.98

2 Stars - Sent further email but no response. Preferred to wait a week just in case before writing negative review.

1 Star - I prefer to shop at smaller gaming shops and I understand the competitive nature of things but 2 weeks later, nothing was resolved.

Maybe it was bad timing due to Easter Holidays, that can be over looked but not receiving item and no communication to resolve the issue then paying extra has warded in a negative reponse.

Very poor, avoid

Despite numerous emails stating my order is on way, still nothing received. Support useless at providing any updates as to what is going on. Now I get emails asking for reviews on how they did, acting like the order is complete when I still haven't received anything...seems like I have been scammed.
