Insured with them for 11 years, never had to claim until now!
Insured with them for 11 years. When I tried to make my first claim for temporary loss of earnings due to injuries caused by my job over the years, resulting in 2 operations and time off work to recover, they said it was classed as pre existing as ‘didn’t happen within the current insurance period’ It took me almost 2 years of multiple tests to get the correct diagnosis! Apparently that doesn’t matter. Absolute joke of a company! I will be going elsewhere, as will my colleagues!

We are sorry to hear about your recent time off work, the need to have two operations, and wish you a speedy recovery. The Personal Accident section of the Pet Business policy will only provide cover for injuries that occurred as a result of an accident whilst working under the policy at an identifiable time. There is no cover for gradual injuries incurred over a period of time. If you can provide evidence of your injury occurring at a specific time whilst you were working under a policy with ourselves, please send that to the claims handlers at your earliest convenience so that your claim can be reviewed again. Or if you prefer, we can follow that up for you if you contact us direct with those details.
