Horrible company

My fiancé passed away 2 years ago.. since we weren’t married the policy went to our 2 year old child . I have gone to court to get the conservatorship documents required for me to get information for my now 4 year old . I’ve submitted the documents and talked to countless people and somehow nobody has a record of the documents sent. Just got off the phone to someone I could barely understand and I’m suppose to call in a few hours to see if they received them this time … to the same email I’ve sent the other documents too months ago . I asked to talk to someone higher up because clearly someone wasn’t doing their job right and got nothing . This by far has been one of the most irritating companies to deal with. Can’t wait to be done with them.

Not only has it been 6 weeks

Not only has it been 6 weeks, Yes SIX WEEKS and I have only recieved ONE payment. And only recieced that payment after almost a MONTH of being on an APPROVED DISABILITY. When calling Noone has an answer as to what or why it's happening. Noone has any way to speak with a supervisor. The original payment changed deposit dates MULTIPLE TIMES before being finally deposited to my account. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYONE. If you have to be on disability for short term I hope this isn't the company you have to go through.

I have had a life insurance policy with…

I have had a life insurance policy with Prudential for about 20 years. I recently needed to make a change and attempted to call in. I was transferred 7 times and each time to someone who spoke broken English and made me verify my identity. 7 times! Ultimately I decided t just cancel this policy, take the payout and move my money elsewhere. They are a mess now in days.

I strongly suggest avoiding Prudential for any life policies.

Uneducated Representative

company customer representatives are poorly trained on their product and IRS regulation on their retirement plans. Save your time talking to a representative. I've talked to a customer service representative about over contribution for my Roth IRA account, she keeps on telling me I'm not over contribution because my contribution for 401(k) is under the contribution limit set by IRS. Clearly we are talking about different retirement products here... I spend good 20 minutes educating the customer presentative of her company product that I finally give us. She's either too ignorant or too dump to understand...

What happened to this once great…

What happened to this once great company. You can't reach anyone in the company. They push you to their offshore call center, you wait on hold excessively. I'm on hold right now, over 35 minutes and counting. When you do get connected their English is horrible, and they can't answer your questions. My Mother passed away seven months ago and I can't get any answers on her life insurance claim. I will never purchase another Prudential product and I will make sure that everyone that I know is aware of how bad this companies customer service has become.

If I could give this company a negative…

If I could give this company a negative number I would. My mom is 80 so after paying on this policy since 1990 they canceled her policy stating the premiums wasn't paid for 1 month. Went back through bank documents and found the premium was paid but they wouldn't reinstate without all medical information showing she was healthy and clearly at 80 she has medical issues. Their customer service is also horrible. I called at almost 5 during the week then got hung up on so that representative didn't have to deal with me anymore. I also know a person who worked for them awhile ago and she said these are their standard practices to scam people and make money. Please do not use this company... you will regret it!

Have to pay life insurance online

Have to pay life insurance online. Can't pay any other way. Can't login to the web site. Only option is to call customer service. I dialed back to 1982, and listened to horrible filler music, one tune over and over, with the 1980's "please wait" interruptions. When I got through I was told I would have to login using an unsecure pc. I had to shut down all privacy apps, firewalls, and allow cookies. What kind of morons run this operation?

Terrible Company

If I could have given Prudential no stars I would. My deceased mother has a life insurance policy with them and after filling out all their forms and supplying them with correct documentation I have to endure 50min + phone wait times to try and speak to someone about why this claim still hasn't been processed in over 3 months.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

They need to fix their site

I’ve recently had to apply for short-term disability a couple days ago through these guys. The application process was pretty easy. The problem is every time I try to log into the site it says I have the wrong password. It won’t let me change my password neither. I’m not going to keep bugging the customer service reps because you have a broken site. I hope I’m able to go back to work the day after my upcoming appointment and that my next paycheck will be okay. Based on the reviews and my experience with the broken website, I don’t feel too confident about getting my short term disability. The reasons I gave it too stars was 1. Customer service seemed friendly and 2. The application was pretty easy.

Prudential ignore medical assessment…

Prudential ignore medical assessment reports which supports the Ltc claims and appeals. They do not respond in person or emails. They only try to make the claim process difficult by limiting correspondence through fax or US mails. You can’t talk to the eligibility team or reviewers directly. You can talk to their customer service but they can’t do much about your claims.

Dead best

They have the absolute worse customer service in the industry, they keep you from getting your money in a timely fashion I got evicted from my house today after repeatedly telling them how bad I needed that money, now me my wife and grand daughter will be living who knows where and to top it off I still haven't received my money as of this review, I gave them everything they wanted from me and still nothing, I wish my job never offered their services

Poor customer service.

Poor customer service.
I called the phone# 1800-778-4357 multiple times with no help. The first time a woman answered and was able to look up the status of the subpoena that I had mailed in. This woman pulled up the information and confirmed the documents receipt then transferred me to a 3rd party company called morneau shepell.I waited on the line for 48 mins before speaking to a representative.
The rep came to the phone and referred me back to prudential and said they didn't handle subpoena issues ans had nothing to do with my court documents that were received by prudential.
I called back prudential on the same number, a very rude woman came to the phone and as I tried to tell her the reason for my call and how frustrating this was becoming, she wouldn't stop interrupting me.
She then started asking me very irrelevant questions..customer ID#, mt ss# after I had told her earlier that I was not a customer and that I had mailed in a subpoena.I bet she didn't even know what a subpoena was and didn't want to know.
I asked to speak to their legal dept she told me there was no way for that and also there was no phone # to call the legal dept.
I figured out she had no clue what I was calling about and was obviously not willing to at least listen.I asked her to get me a supervisor...She told me to have a nice day then hang up on me right away.
I called back and this point clearly over frustrated, a gentleman answered the phone and truly tried to help but then gave me a phone# 201-957-7510 to call their office in NJ...that number doesn't belong to prudential.

I am very angry right now at this company and I will not ever call them back again.
I am going to figure out other ways to obtain the information I was requesting.

Will not pay out claims.

My experience trying to claim benefits with Prudential
has been horrible. They have
completely evaded our efforts to do exactly what our father intended when he purchased a life insurance policy. I would not recommend buying Life Insurance with Prudential.

I went out on Short term disability…

I went out on Short term disability 10/20 and my claim has still not been determined, every time I call they tell me they need more information and to allow 7-10 days and when I start questioning them they can’t give me a clear answer, everything is vague. They do not know what they are doing over there. I can’t express enough how uneducated about the claims process they are.
