The pin on the back of the buttons were not all straight. Some were diagonal, straight up and down, ect

Hi Carrie, our 1" buttons have a floating pin that spins inside the back shell. You can hold the horizontal pin and twist the button to whatever direction you'd like. All of our other button sizes have a fixed pin that would be lined up with the photo.
