Absolutely loved this course. I had already had experience on the push 3, but I wanted to deep dive and learn a bunch of cool things that I wasn’t picking up from the manual. Push Patterns did an exce... See more

Things you never knew you needed
I decided to deep dive into the world of Ableton Push Stand-alone. Having never owned one before, everything was fresh and daunting. I knew I needed some baseline training (more than the great but minimalist Ableton demo videos). The Push 3 course from Craig (Push Patterns), is exactly what I needed. After seeing some of his YouTube content you can see his skill in teaching, and his style appealed. I have not been disappointed, the course is well laid out, and while initially there is a lot of information given with minimal explanation, all of the topics then have a detailed deep dive module later in the course. The sample pack, pdfs and reference files were all top notch, and didn’t leave you wanting. I’m thoroughly enjoying my time with the Push, which without such an accessible course, would have likely ended up sitting in the corner gathering dust (or on EBay in six months).
For context - I am at best a bedroom producer, so take this review with that context, but the course has given me plenty of confidence to jam away through the early hours of the morning, enjoying the joy of a new instrument. Would recommend to anyone new to the Push (or wanting a much deeper knowledge of the push workflow and hardware), irrelevant to your musical knowledge.

I was able to move at my own pace which is crucial as my time is very limited. The way the course is split into short modules allowed me and go over each section until I really understood it. The whole thing is organised so well and it makes a complicated piece of gear easier to navigate.
Understanding how to transfer projects from the Push to my laptop was key to integrating Push into a live performance setup, so I could make tweaks on my laptop at soundcheck, save the session and make sure there was a back up on my laptop. Using Push 3 as a standalone pedal was amazing and Craig helped me to navigate the step up from Push 2 to 3 and understand the workflow. Navigating the plug-ins to create digital pedal boards was very useful, so Module 7 'audio effects and Control on Push 3' was extremely helpful!

Craig's the man!
I have been writing songs for a long time now and I really wanted to learn how to record and produce them without having to find a band and producer. With Craig's help and his amazing course on Udemy, I was able to thoroughly learn how to achieve my goals of recording/producing my music!

This course if great
This course if great, both if you're completely new to Push or if you're an experienced user. As the Push 3 (standalone) has so many new great features it was the perfect platform for me to learn from to start using my new Push 3. I couldn't recommend more.

It is a very well-laid-out, high quality course
It is a very well-laid-out course, easily digestible and has lots of high-value guidance and information. I particularly like the workflows section, which describes different approaches to using Push 3. This has really helped me to find my own workflow based on the suggestions learned through the course. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to develop skills on the push 3. The audio/video production is very good. As a final note, the creator, Craig, is an exceptionally helpful, kind-hearted communicator who is quick to respond to questions or feedback. Can't compliment him enough.

Quite Helpful
I appreciate all of the hard work and effort and that went into making this course. For me, it takes away a lot of the confusion and intimidation associated with learning the Push 3. Craig even states upfront that the Push 3 should be understood as an instrument; as such, you should give yourself time and embrace the learning process.
Honestly, without this course, the Push 3 would be one of those pieces of gear I would have gotten frustrated with, stowed away, or sold. As it is now, I have it as a centerpiece in my studio. Also, Craig is a really nice person and if you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out to him and I’m sure he’ll respond right away. That’s been my experience. Highly recommend if you want a step-by-step explanation to get you up and running.

The ultimate Push 3 course
The Push 3 isn't cheap. but 100% worth the price you pay for it. But you need some guidance, the manual is good but video assistance and some hands-on is needed.
The Push 3 course of Push Patterns is something you need if you want to make serious use of your Push 3. Step by step the course is leveling you up your knowledge and pleasure to use it.
Get if you can afford it, it will make your Push life so much better.

Ableton Push 3 Course
The course is not comprehensive but it's an excellent overview that will give you a 32,000 feet view of how Ableton Push 3 works as a standalone and also connecting it to Ableton Live 11/12 shows the proof of concept. For the price it's a foundation you can build on.
