This is my first experience of going to a game server hosting business so wasn't too sure what to expect. I saw the advert on the Assetto Corsa site and looked at the options and went with an ACC server offering up to 32 driver slots in a race. The server was set up and ready to run within a few hours - very fast.

Now, my priorities are CPU capabilities for the clients and also bandwidth - in order to ensure the best racing experience. Hosting on my sim-racing PC would see a fair few CPU exceeding limits warnings (when CPU usage goes over 80%, fair enough as it is running the full sim too) but I have yet to see in a race the server CPU load exceeding 5%, yes 5%. The CPU is barely breathing to get this figure, so very impressed. This is admittedly with 10 MP drivers, so will scale up to 32, but don't think that will stress the server's capabilities.

It is also super-easy to configure the ACC server variables as you can edit the relevant .json files remotely, and, of course switch on and off your server etc...your server appears within the MP lobby within ACC.

My only wish is that RackService properly implement the facility where you can see how many drivers are on your server at any one time, from within the Rackservice configurations / management web interface. This is important because if you want to change any of the server priorities (such as track, time of day, etc...) you have no way of knowing whether you are about to kill the enjoyment of drivers who are already on the server (because remote viewing doesn't tell you that). You have to be in ACC and looking within the lobby to see how many drivers are in it. Often you are looking at the service on a web interface.

Hopefully, this gets implemented but in the meantime hats-off to the RackService team for their service and super-quick response time to questions too.

EDIT: Just changed the configuration to host 27 MP drivers. Hardware handling the number of clients brilliantly:
CPU 5% (core 1) 7% (core 2) --> wow
QoS 100 100
LAT 49
PING 18ms
Extremely happy.

EDIT 2: Had the server up a few weeks now and with full grid races the server has behaved impeccably. Nice one 😎

easy setup and all the tools needed.

UI a bit old but works and server is very good value.

So good I'm going look at trying to get some java VM or so.

Not easy to get setup for beginners but all you need to do is ask there support team. I had no idea how to do anything at all even get it live but after a text n honest quick response server is up modded cars tracks all running a treat best support team I've come accross

to less settings for ACC server in the web interface, only possible for edit server settings is editing configuration files.

Although it takes longer than with some other providers until the server is activated but the service is incomparably good. Fast answers, perfect help and a clear backend, I have never experienced so good anywhere else. The prices are unrivalled low.
So if you want to rent an Assetto Corsa Competizione server you should do it here.
