PCR day 2 tests

I ordered two PCR test for day 2 after my arrival in the UK. I am still waiting for them 10 days later. I contacted Raibow labs and managed to speak to a support person after mutiple trials (their phone line is busy all the time and it hangs up on you automatically after a few minutes). The support person I spoke to was nice enough but couldn't put me through a manager and said she could only "chat" to people online to ask for guidance about refund. The blame was put on Royal mail of course. I will follow up on my complaint but I don't have high hopes to ever get my money back (or my tests!!). A total waste a time and money...

Avoid at all costs

I am still waiting for the PCR day 2 results for one of the 3 tests we booked.
One of the tests was unclear, and I don't trust that to be true. I think it's a scam to get me to buy more tests.

Total rip off.

I paid over £50 for fit to travel PCR test on 16/12/21 and to date have still not received my result which meant I had to get another test locally and despite emailing to ask for a refund I have not heard back. Total rip off.why is the government allowing this company to trade.

Super Rapid Antigen Test

Can't fault their Rapid Antigen Test mailing/emailing service. I ordered in plenty of time received the package 2 days later. Did the test on the day of travel, followed the online instruction to the letter. My negative result certificate arrived in my inbox within an hour of test submission. I didn't find this difficult at all. I've used this service twice now resulting in a very quick turnaround each time. Many thanks.

Avoid at all cost even though recommended on Which? and listed on the gov.uk website, disgraceful company

Got my day 2 results 5 days after the sample was received at the lab (royal mail tracked), website says results in 48 hours. Selected this provider as they are recommended on Which? and after I was not able to purchase a test kit from the other providers listed due to stockouts, regret not having checked trustpilot or other sites for reviews in addition to Which? Holiday period or not anticipating the demand is not acceptable when customers have purchased a product and the website indicates 48 hours after receipt of sample. Atrocious that they are listed on the government website and should not be listed if they cannot deliver, checked today and they are still listed despite all of these negative reports. Their customer service is appalling do not respond on email and the phone is always busy. Not only are they scamming customers with false advertising but also causing people undue stress. Further my result came back positive and at this stage I do not trust the results since the lateral flows are showing negative and my past PCR just before I travelled was also negative could it be a way for them to justify their incompetence to indicate that I would have had to be isolation anyway?? The email with the report has a .in domain which also seems strange if they are a UK based company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER..!!.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER..!!.

I have had the experience of paying for 2 x Day 2 PCR tests arriving in UK on 22nd of December. We completed our test, sent them back on 23rd and the post tracking number confirmed delivery on 24th December.

It is now January 5th and we still do not have our results and have since flown back to Canada on 2 Jan after completing PCR test at the departure airport 2 days prior. The results were delivered by email within 24 hrs. Now that’s service..!!

Beware - a complete scam!

Went with Rainbowlabs on the back of a Which UK recommendation online. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Ordered 3 x Day 2 PCR tests for arrival on the 22nd December. They accepted payment for the tests knowing that they would be closed from the 25-30 December (and again from the 31 Dec - 3rd January) so they would not be able to process our samples or return our results. 2 weeks on and I still haven't received my results. Numerous phone calls, promises of call-backs with no returned calls, emails gone unanswered, phone calls where the line mysteriously dropped, lies that they never received my samples, despite confirmation of delivery from Royal Mail. Refusal to return our 147 pounds for a service that they have not provided! An absolute disgrace!

Day 2 tests were received 12 days ago…

Day 2 test samples were received 12 days ago, by Rainbow Labs, and only now results were issued. Despite numerous efforts to get customer support to acknowledge my request for a refund, as the results at this late stage are mute, I have been ignored completely. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional service; even more so for a UKAS supplier. Don’t waste your time and money with Rainbow Labs. Rather find another reputable supplier to provide the required.

LFT certification problem

My wife and I used the Rainbow labs LFT service, where wd have pre-paid LFTs and a reference code to upload the photo of the test strip. However the confirmatory email of the negative test result did not have the certificate attached. Moreover the link in the emails to their system does not work. Accordingly we had to write down the link from my phone which amounts to virtually a 100 characters / numeric codes for each and then enter this into google to obtain the certificates. Can Rainbow labs please attach the certificates in pdf and make this a user friendly system, rather than a real bind!
Regards
Steve M

My Experience with Rainbow labs is…

My Experience with Rainbow labs is positive, the LFT certificate arrived less than 2 hours after sending the picture and I used for 2 times, I did also a PCR test on the 29th and last night around 2am surprisingly arrived the result. The costumer service replied fairly quick via email but the phone line I wasn't able to connect. I want also to add that I collected my test and I didn't use the delivery service

Shocking - DO NOT USE. Rainbow Labs is a sham taking advantage of desperate travellers. 0 stars.

They operate out of an unlit, disorganised room in an Ibis Hotel. The person at the desk was not wearing a mask, and was more interested in playing games on his phone than answering questions. I saw him get irritated at numerous people trying to understand what to do.They just fling a "PCR test" at you to self-administer stood right there - no controls, no hygiene, nothing. These tests are clearly just lateral flow tests they've taken for free from the NHS, and stuck their own labels on top of.

Complete and utter shambles!

Still No Results

Ordered and received Day2 PCR tests for return from Denmark. So far so good.
Arrived early on 20th December, had tests done and posted by the same day. Tracked mail confirms samples delivered on the 22nd December and until now, 28th December no results and no communication whatsoever. We called and did manage to talk to customer service that proceeded to give us convoluted excuses for test not being processed and results not being sent/delivered. So 10 days isolation, results meaningless and no refunds or proper explanation.
So don't believe in any promises and avoid at all costs.
Should be taken of the list of UK approved labs.

I am only giving this one star as you…

I am only giving this one star as you can give none.
I ordered 4 test kits , one for myself, one for my husband and one each for our two sons. Only one was delivered. On the website the other three were all marked as pending. I recieved no notice of posting, which I did recieve for the one that we did arrive. I conclude from that that they did not post them. I tried calling the number - probably about 50 times. Always engeged.I emailed them several times, and left a message on their facebook page, and recieved no response from them.
We returned from our holiday and had to arrange a local Day 2 test as, because of Rainbow Labs appalling lack of service, we would otherwise be in breach of Government Guidelines, and risk being fined.
I contacted Trading Standards, and they advised me on how to complain. I also contacted the Bank and arranged for the payment t for the 3 tests that did not arrive to be refunded to us as we had not recieved the Goods and Services that we paid for. I sent a letter to them outlining the situation, and giving the the Bank reference number for the refund. Still no contact from them. You can only assume that the incomptance extends to every department
I have also contacted my local MP to highlight the poor service that they provide and to see if he can get their Government accreditation revoked - I cut and pasted the hunreds of negative reviews about them so that they were aware of the scope of your incompetance.I dont understand haow they get 5 stars on Which.
So to conclude - Use someone else. We used Randox which was good, and Regeneative labs in Cambridge which was excellent, but a bit more expensive.

Lateral flow test for arrival from and pre-departure to France

End of November 2021, I used their service for a LFT for a return to the UK (From France). The service was fine, ordered and received the test on time, did the test on arrival to the UK, received the submission confirmation and the results certificate the next morning.
So, I decided to re-order 2 LFT for a very recent trip to France for my husband and I. This time, we needed to do the test 24h before we travel and I had a strange feeling with Rainbow... So I ordered another 2 LFT from another company (and I did so well!!). All LFT received on time btw.
24h before departure, on 23/12 in the evening. I first used the Rainbow's LFT and, it was all straightforward for me until I checked my certificate the next early morning, on 24/12 (The departure date): the submission date on the certificate was WRONG, they have put the day before 22/12 instead of 23/12! I emailed them but of course, they NEVER replied. For my husband it was worst, we submitted many many times on their website, but he never received any confirmations or certificate (we did everything at the same time).
That early morning, luckily, we had the other LFT from the other company, we received our certificates within less than 4h and left for France in the same evening.
Please believe all the other reviewers who had a bad experience. AVOID!!
