So slow to withdraw your money. 2.5 days to get it out and they don't pay interest in that time. So that means they invest your money for those days at your expense and they keep the gain. Outrageous. I closed my account with them after a week to move it to a standard bank where your money can be immediately withdrawn. Don't go near them.
I put money in this bank because of the large interest they were paying. Their site says that they an FDIC member, which led me to think they were insured. They are not. I tried to transfer funds, and they would not do it. They delayed it for days, so they could hold it over the weekend. After I threatened a complaint to CFPB, I saw the pending transaction show up on my Wells Fargo account, only to be removed an hour later.
I requested this on 12/1. I still don't have the money
on 12/7. Never again, will I trust them.
I have been attempting to resolve an issue with Raisin for over a month regarding the update of my external account information and the withdrawal of my funds. I was initially informed that the withdrawal had been completed and sent to my bank. However, after contacting Raisin again to report that my bank had not received the deposit, I subsequently received an email stating that the funds had been returned.
My bank has confirmed that they have neither received nor returned any funds from Raisin for any of my accounts. It now appears that the routing number provided by my bank is designated for wire transfers rather than ACH transfers.
Raisin is now requiring that I repeat the same initial process—a process that previously took an entire month before I was able to access my funds. Additionally, customer support has been inconsistent; you rarely speak with the same representative twice, and wait times are often extremely long.
I strongly advise others to avoid using this platform. There are more reliable and transparent alternatives available.
Quite possibly the worst bank in the country -
NO SUPPORT at weekends when you need it the most
Cant take all of your monies out
Provide investments and do not always inform you of rate deceases
Rate decreases massive
As soon as we have removed our funds definitley on our black list
Avoid this company like the plague. Even if you close your account, THEY WILL NEVER TAKE YOU OFF THEIR EMAIL LISTS. You will receive marketing emails from them for the REST OF YOUR LIFE. I think companies like this should be banned from advertising!
My CD matured and I requested that the funds be wired from my Raisin account to my external account as I used to do with them. It's been now THREE weeks and a transaction that with some banks takes only a few minutes has yet to be done. The only customer service phone number they provide is one for leaving messages.
I left several phone messages. Sent dozens of email messages since that's the only way you can contact them. All I get is automated messages acknowledging my message and that "we will get back to you " and NOBODY GETS BACK to you.
Worse: since last week, they cut access to my account, so I can't see what's going on.
I have 40 years experience investing through various financial outfilts, Raisin is clearly the WORST financial institution ever. If I had known how dreadful they are, I would NEVER have given them my money since now I have to spend a lot of time, energy and money to file complaints through the German bank regulator (BaFin) and take a lawyer to initiate legal proceedings to get my funds back.
I reached out to some of Raisin's leaders (CEO Tamas Giorgadse, Chief Client Officer Katharina Lueth) via LinkedIn. Same thing: they acknowledge your message "we will tell the team to fix this", nothing happens and after that silence from them.
Raisin is to be avoided at all costs. If only I had read some of the horror stories I now see about them I would NEVER have trusted Raisin with my money.
RAISIN is the worst company in the world. The worst service and they do whatever they want, without your consent. A few days after opening the account and deposit (no problem, supposedly everything is OK) they unexpectedly sent me an email that I asked to close the deposit/account, but nothing like that happened. When I asked them to send me an official application/proof of such an order, they told complete lies and still couldn't prove anything. They blocked all my money. Every time I spoke to them, they came up with another excuse for the withheld funds. On 30/06 I was told that the money would be immediately returned to my account. Then on 02/07 they sent me an email in which they wanted me to provide proof of the source of the money (ATTENTION, they do this out of anger when you start to ask for the money or explain anything). After providing such proof (actually 4 proofs + I had to send them my PIT!!!) they had no other choice but to accept it, but the money was blocked anyway. The guy on the hotline "Jakub", who only has his first name, refuses to officially confirm anything. He uses phrases like "when I have information, I will let you know", and when I ask about a specific date of the refund, he says "I don't know, I don't have access to such information". Today is the day I was promised that the money would be in my account, but the money is still not there (no surprise after what I've seen), and the guy on the hotline doesn't know anything and keeps repeating that when he has an answer, he will contact me. Supposedly, the refund transfer was ordered 2 days ago (I have an email) but no one knows when it will be in my account (even though it was confirmed two days ago that the transfer takes a maximum of 48 hours). This is a complete joke. The money has still not been returned to my account. Stay away and don't take any chances with these cowboys. Additionally, the guy on the hotline just hung up saying at the end that he can't do anything for me. He basically just hung up.
Beware. They take minimum of 3 days to respond to messages. I’ve called their number which says I’m so and so in the queue with so and so waiting time, the time passes and still no answer. I do not trust this entity which labels itself as a ‘bank’ but is just a mediatory between bank and customer. I now understand their business model is to hold onto customer funds for days before releasing it which is where they make their profit. It’s been days now and I still do not have my savings released with no one answering.
Let's start with the fact that the name of this company is misleading. Raising Bank is not a bank. It's a platform that does business with various banks. I set up an account with it and one of those banks because it offered a high yield savings account. I deposited a small sum to get started. A week later, I attempted to deposit a much larger sum and was unable to. After lots of frustrating back and forth with customer service, I was told that the bank I'd chosen was no longer accepting deposits. ??? I closed the account. What a waste of time! Additionally, I'm irritated that yet another entity has my personal financial information. Maybe that was the purpose all along? Avoid Raisin "Bank."
I was looking for a 90 day notice investment account. Raisin Bank website showed a good rate of interest so I opened an account thinking, in a time of falling rates that I should at least receive the advertised interest rate for 90 days being entitled to 90 days notice of any rate change. Fortunately, before putting any funds into the account, I discovered that notice of a rate reduction had already been given despite no mention of that on the webpage giving details of the account BUT they have still extracted a lot of my personal information which I would not have provided but for their failure to disclose the adverse information.
Not responding to messages, things go wrong but contact is not possible to correct.
Be aware: if you need your money (urgently) you take huge risks using this bank!
Wasted 2 weeks or more with their woefully inadequate setup procedures, and although their Customer service apologized several times, they seem about a week behind current events so I just gave up in the end. Being polite, the best word that sums them up is incompetent. Happily with Family Building society now.
Had to get help today and spoke to Sonia. She was extremely helpful and patient and made the whole experience a pleasure. For some reason I was unable to transact business on my PC - no obvious reason why, but my iPad was successful in the end.
This lady was everything you need on a phone in. Sympathetic and onside throughout. A credit to the Bank.
It's nearly six months since my 2-year euro deposit matured with Raisin and they have still failed to return any of the funds to my bank account. I have been in contact with them for months and they keep making excuses. Recently they have stopped replying to my requests for an update on the missing funds. I have now literally lost thousands of euros of my savings to this supposed bank and they appear to be refusing to repay me. I am at my wits end and have no idea whether I will ever get my money back!
Still awaiting interest to be added to my account or sent direct to my nominated bank, 7 days overdue and no answer to my e-mails.
