Firstly they do not even deserve a 1 Star rating. My order was placed in June 2022 and still knowing what they were going through despite numerous emails they kept just saying it's delayed. It's terrible because there is nothing one can do to retrieve that money.

The customer service is poor. My order is now 6 months late and if I didn’t reach out on my own they would have kept quiet.

Raru scammed me out of my money.
I ordered back in July 2022.
They kept on delaying my order and I followed up on numerous times.
When I asked for a refund they did not respond to my calls or emails.
They have since closed their website.
They have ruined lives!

Those that have spent alot of money. Contact your banks as visa has 120day consumer protection act and they might be able to reverse the funds.

I bought CD's about 6 months ago,and I recently sent a check up email on the 3rd Nov then, they responded the same day. The following day i tried replying to them on the website but it was on shutdown. Raru is scamming people.

I'VE BEEN SCAMMED!!! IT WAS MY 1ST TIME USING THIS WEBSITE, IT LOOK LEGIT, ORDERED MY BOOKS 20 September 2022 - see below reply after I've enquired a month later, still no feedback on follow up emails send....surely this website must be closed by consumer protection officers - stealing peoples monies in daylight!!!
We're very sorry for the delay with your order . We've been experiencing some lingering hold-ups with deliveries from the distributor of these books , but our stocks are slowly trickling in . Unfortunately we're only receiving the final delivery details the day prior at this stage which has made it difficult to confirm exact ETA's in advance , but we will notify you as soon as we're able to do so . We are liaising with them on a regular basis . We do apologise for any difficulties that this might be causing you .

Raru was not genuinely answering queries
It should be noted that the responses to queries sent to Raru customer service appear to have been generic form text. This (sent 5 October 2022 in reply to a website query of 4 October 2022) is one example. It might be helpful if others posted those they received, in order to establish that the company was not in fact genuinely responding to queries, which would tend to indicate that their behaviour was intentionally deceptive.

We have followed up on your order item request, however it did not arrive with our latest shipment form the supplier as expected. It's estimated to arrive at our warehouse in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Raru, what a scam
I bought some books from Raru in September 2022, after the payment went off I got nothing besides a confirmation of the order. Went onto their website and saw a site that is offering absolutely no reason for no longer being in operation. I want my money back!

I ordered a Next Level Racing - GTLITE Foldable Simulator Racing Cockpit (PC/Gaming) worth R5000 off Raru on the 7th of June 2022.
Once I queried via email why my delivery was late I was informed that it is on back order and that it'll arrive in July, July changed to August, and August changed to November. I decided to have a look at the progress of my order only to be shocked by a notice message.
I've emailed Raru countless times since June because their phone never gets answered!!!!
Anyone have success getting their refunds and how did you go about it?!

I rated 1 because there is no 0. They took my money in July 2022 but goods never delivered. Now they ignore my emails. Surely they cannot get away with the millions they have taken from unsuspecting customers?? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
Refund due over 3 months
Seemed that years back they where a good company as I ordered a lot from them but my last order was cancelled and I'm still waiting for my refund that's due over 3 months now and like the other people stating it seems they closed and no one is getting there refunds. It's very sad and really alarming to hear how many refunds are due to people. Make my R1500 look small.

Waiting in vain for my refund.
After cancelling numerous orders for vinyl records and CD’s because they were many months overdue in delivery, I was told that I would be refunded, but that it “could take some time”…
They owe me more than R8000 and now it seems like they have closed down.
I have not received my refund, and I can’t even check my account with them anymore.
Wrote e-mails to management with no response at all.
Waine Smith, Neil Smith and Andrew O Leary should all be taken to court.
I urge all of you that are owed money to take this further!
