Horrible

Horrible. Initially seemed good for company creation - after that, I feel my money is being aten up by mindless interactions with customer services for minimal tech problems. Their app interface changes often which makes everything confusing. Since it's a big company, no one takes charge.

Rauva - a Swan.io shell, still very rough around the edges

I've been using Rauva for the past two months as my small company's banking service, not making use of any of the accounting features. The experience has been far from great - but keep in mind the service is free, so can't expect much. Their banking app relies heavily on swan.io, to the point that oftentimes Rauva feels little more than a shell on top of the banking provider.
- Features: Not supporting MB (Portuguese banking service protocol) limits its usefulness - for example I cannot do regular tax payments to the government (IRC, IRS, SS); and Open Banking is not a valid alternative. I've also experienced problems setting a direct debit - or so the service provider indicated. Very limited options setting collaborators. But overall, it covers the basics.
- Mobile app: does the trick. Web-based, slow, dated UX. Doesn't support biometrics, so needing to spend a lot of time typing the pin.
- Setup: personal data badly imported from government services, and no way to fix it.
- Card: Physical Mastercard took a long time to arrive, wrong name on the card (apparently an issue from Swan). Got somehow cancelled after 1 month of use while trying to pay a small bill on a APT. Rauva alleges that I've cancelled it myself. No problems with virtual cards so far, but you can only have a very limited amount of those.
- Transfers: two legitimate inbound transfers from my customers got randomly blocked/delayed by Swan, who in occasion required further info to release the funds. No problems with outbound transfers yet.
- Staff - support is only available during normal working hours (9-18? GMT). They generally are friendly and attempt to be helpful, but there's little they can do to prevent issues with Swan.io.

My original plan consisted of making Rauva the main account of my company, and eventually move over my accounting to the service as well as their pricing is quite competitive. As it stands, at present the service is still far too early days - for now I'll rely on Wise Business instead.

Maria was simply awesome!

I've been active in Portugal for a while with my business and always felt lost with the state of my accounting. Today Maria onboarded me with Rauva and the experience was above and beyond my wildest expectations. She helped me with truly value-adding advice and we ended with crystal clear next steps. Today feels like as massive leapfrog for my business and admin. Thank you so much Maria
