I wanted to thank Rawlings Opticians for their thorough and professional approach. I had a routine eye test with Jessica Parker and she spotted something unusual on the scan of my optic nerve. She was very professional in her approach and referred me quickly to the eye hospital to get properly checked out for what has turned out to be a relatively rare condition. I am so grateful to Jessica for taking the time and being so thorough with the examination. The eye hospital team were also impressed that she had spotted it. Thanks again.

When you enter a Rawlings establishment someone will always approach you straighaway to ask what it is you want.
You are directed to the right area and for me, attending an ear wax removal session it's quick and the staff dealing with you are very pleasent.
The only adverse thing I would say about the Winchester site is that it struggles for space and some of the consultation areas feel a bit more than cramped but other than that its great.

Moving into the world of varifocal lenses was made an absolute breeze.
The whole team at Alresford continue to provide first class service.
Their attention to detail, in working out the best solution for their customer is second to none.

Staff made me feel
Very welcome and optician explained everything very clearly and honestly. I was not made to feel they were upselling - which I always find off putting.

I recently had a hearing check up. The process was very professional, highly informative, friendly and reassuring. I'd certainly recommend a regular check, especially as we get older.

I cannot recommend this optician highly enough. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness that makes every visit a pleasure.
Katie was particularly wonderful - she took the time to understand my lifestyle needs and offered options that would work perfectly for me. What really impressed me was her patience and expertise when choosing frames. She helped me find options that suited not just my face, but my personality too. I never felt rushed, and her recommendations were spot-on.
The entire team is consistently helpful and welcoming - it's clear they genuinely care about their customers. It's refreshing to find a local business that combines professional expertise with such a personal touch.

I have been a Rawlings patient for 57 years and have always found the staff to be empathetic and polite, rigorous in their sight testing using the most-up-to-date diagnostic tools, and scrupulous in what they can offer to patients in some cases who need corrective measures to assist and/or improve their eyesight capability. Because I have always been extremely satisfied with the service that Rawlings offer, even though I moved to Brighton five years ago from Croydon, I remain one of their patents because I am confident and happy with the service that their staff provide.

Space, seating, lighting, calm, location all welcoming. Most importantly, i never feel rushed. No question is too silly. And privacy means not having to listen to others going through the same process. Professional to a T !

I have now made 3 visits to the Purley branch and each time was a very positive experience. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. The service and their experience is 2nd to none.

Disappointed that my appointment for Friday 30th was cancelled as Hannah had to go to cover another branch. She adjusted the fitting of my glasses on Monday 26th but was going to see how I got on as I believe that the distance reading between my two eyes were incorrect. She compared this with her reading of a few years ago. She offered me this appointment after taking the reading 3 times, so was there a discrepancy?? She said that I have two prescriptions so my brain needs to get used to it! Wrong!! I’ve being wearing contact lens and had cataract operations with two prescriptions for over 20 years! She offered me appointment with Simon on Friday 13th February! I’ve cancelled this. There isn’t a problem with the eye test, that's perfect! I’ve received 4 years of a friendly, polite service but now I’m very disappointed as the glasses cost me £311.00+ after discounts.
