Customer Apeasement fail!

Having ordered a Zoom F8n with next day delivery I started recieving messages of thanks for ordering, followed by notifications about the transit of my order by DPD. I received a delivery timeslot from them which was not met.
I shall not go too deeply into the saga but will say that if it wasn't for a neighbour who was also expecting a package I would never have received my Zoom F8n.

The Zoom F8n receives 5stars. However Raycoms response when I informed them of what happened, and asked if they could get an adequate explanation of events from DPD leaves a bitter taste. Their response: ( I will address this issue with DPD and encourage them to consider a closer control on future shipments.
Had shipping been charged we would of course reimburse the cost. Even though you were not charged we still would like to make a gesture in recognition of the problems experienced.
Please enter the following code at checkout on any future purchase to receive a £10.00 discount, this will cover at least the shipping charge!)

Customer Care should be changed to Cutsomer Appeasement!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and apologies for the delay in responding.

We are sad that you feel we did not provide adequate customer support.

However, had it not been 2 weeks between the issue and you getting in touch with us about it. We would have done everything we could to resolve the issue for you on the day and as quickly as possible. This is frustrating for us as we take customer care & support seriously.

You asked us to explain what happened with the DPD delivery. We did ask DPD to provide details.
However, because of the time that had elapsed between issue and query. They could not provide any detailed information other than the driver made a mistake. We did ask them to speak with the driver for more information but we still had the same result.

Whilst this is frustrating, it is all we could get out of DPD.

We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the Zoom F8N, it really is a great device and we hope it provides many years of happy recordings.

Absolutely fantastic service

Absolutely fantastic service. Very happy with my 3DIO binaural microphone ear muffs. Initially thought it would take a couple of days to arrive and then found out DPD would be delivering the next day! Thanks ever so much Raycom. I look forward to shopping with you again soon.
