Was happy with purchase price and auction fees. However not aware of shipping cost to Canada and extra duties had to pay and packaging fees that added additional 150% mark up on purchase of item

We do completely agree with the cost of shipping the carriers charge and feel the rising cost of shipping materials and carriers charges need to be adjusted.
Good offering of art for local buyers
Good offering of art for local buyers. It's not great for distant buyers as the shipping solutions offered are cost-prohibitive. Hence, I forfeited the product after payment. They seem like a good business otherwise.

in regards to the shipping, we are the auction company not the shipping company. We would advise you to get feedback addressed with the carriers such as USPS, FedEx, etc. The rates they impose is outlandish as we ourselves do buy online and understand the exuberant cost from the carriers.

Lot description is fine
Lot description is fine, but you have to use their own shipping and the shipping cost is so high. They do not recommend any other shippers. I will hesitate to do business with them again. If I do, I will lower my bid price by $100 for mid sized item because I know their shipping will make so much money

We understand your frustrations with the cost of shipping as the carriers continue to raise their rates. We do offer third party options in the terms and in an email sent to every buyer:
"If you are not satisfied with our shipping options, please make other arrangements to ship your item and contact us about those shipping details."
Maybe you missed that section of the email.
We offer our preferred packer/shipper because we understand the issues of buying in an online auction and then contact surrounding shipping stores for quotes and paying pick up and transport fees and then paying the shipping company you choose.
We are the auction company, like many more are becoming, that offer a direct and hassle free option with packing and shipping so the buyer can enjoy the purchase and receive the treasure they purchased with less stress.
So, we are disappointed that you do not appreciate or understand our auction services but do appreciate your business.
