It is rare to come across a company that reayy gets it, but this one does. Its guiding principles appear to be to be as sustainable as possible (100% renewable energy, active travel where and whenever) and to be nice!

Rob@RUB as we took to calling him, cannot be more helpful, and he supported me through a complicated job to successfully retrofit an Enviolo Automatiq hub interface to my Cube Hybrid Cargo bike. At no point was he disparaging or dismissive, and even when one interface failed to function, he sent a replacement in less than 24 hours!

I had a really positive experience using Really Useful Bikes for the first time to buy a new 'cafe' lock for my Babboe cargo bike. The lock I had ordered wasn't available, but Rob got in touch to offer me an even better model, which does the job perfectly. Rob takes a very personal, thoughtful approach to customer service which is a breath of fresh air in a world dominated by the likes of Amazon.

Excellent, Rob is a really lovely chap and helped me after I had snapped my front brake cable. I had no idea how to replace it or even what parts I needed, this being my first Dutch bike. Fixed while I waited, really lovely personal service.

We've been customers for more than seven years and Rob has been extremely helpful and flexible throughout this time.
Our latest 'adventure' involved an upgrade to my Gazelle ebike. Just before I almost gave up on the bike, Rob suggested that a different hub might solve the problem. He recommended a Shimano replacement, ordered it, built a new wheel, fitted it, together with the correct shifter, etc, and it now runs like a bullet train.
What a difference this has made! It's like having a new, more powerful bike, but without having to hunt around to find a new one (and not having to spend ££££ on it either).

Specialist bikes require specialist bike mechanics. Try taking a Dutch ebike to your high street cycle shop or to H*****ds.....
That's why the friendly, knowledgeable service that ReallyUsefulBikes provides is so valuable.

Rob is a visionary and an innovator, as well as a very kind and helpful chap. He has gone out of his way to help us over the past 7 years. His workshop is also full of interesting bits & bobs, parts, spares, bike bags, bells, whistles, and some lovely hand-built cargo bikes.

If the cycling revolution ever were to happen in the UK, I'll vote Rob for president.

Excellent service, they have all that I could need to fix and service my silly "exotic" bike bits.

Email this company about changing from twist handle to electric gear change for a ebike. 2 days later a list of parts and prices which was the lowest. Other ebike sellers did not even know if it could be done.

I strangled to find a spare part everywhere around in the UK dealers and was the only UK website that I found it. Secure payment, great prices and super fast shipping. Surprised when I checked the item had a greeting card written by hand as well. Very professional...

I contacted Rob about a bike brand that he distributes and he happily ordered one in for me to have a ride. Unfortunately it was wrong for me posture-wise; so Rob gave me a few different bikes to try before I found one I loved, which happened to be his! He refurbished it, serviced it and sold it to me, offering the same one year free servicing package he sells to full price bikes.
Rob has a passion for getting people out of their cars and cycling, but honestly he could probably go on stage as a comedian, be a doctor or the next prime minister. He is very personable, friendly and basically bloody decent. If you are looking for a bike, go and chat to him.
