Hi I have had my reco heat system fitted by usk stoves last week,
I have run different tests etc to see how much better my bungalow is,
The stove is positioned in the center room of 3 rooms in a row. Then opposite side of the house are 2 bedrooms a hallway and bathroom, before the reco heat system the 2 bedrooms did not benefit from the fire being on even with 2 fans on top of the stove. Last night I lit the stove , put on the reco heat pump and 2 hours later every room in my bungalow was at 20.3 -20.5 degrees. .. Great result!!!!! Very happy it works well..i was looking into this system for almost 2 years before i committed and im not dissapointed..

Will at Recoheat was very helpful and kind, bringing the unit to the house while we were having our woodburner fitted. He was also great at helping us decide where to place the pump and we put it outside. The unit has made the experience with a woodburner totally different. The fresh, warm air that flows out is good for me rather than just the radiant heat and it spreads more through the house, which is a victorian terrace. So pleased that we did this.

Understanding, sympathetic, helpful, knowledgable and above all, an interest in the environment.
What's not to like.

Purchased a month ago but didn't write a review until it had been fitted and had been used for a few weeks.

Firstly, the unit helps heat the room far quicker. Before the Recoheat, we would light the fire and close the living room door and then about 1 hour later the room would be warm. Now, we light it and leave the door open and can feel the heat within 20-30 mins.

Heat is still coming out after the log burner has died down and the heat is finding its way into other areas and rooms of the house.

Secondly, at first I felt the white noise was noticeable from the fire and the air pump but after a few days it seemed to quieten down and is hardly noticed, especially when you have the tv on.

I'll know more in a few months when its really cold, reference using less wood than previous years but, I would say its been a welcome addition to the home and definitely generates more warmth. Its like having an additional powerful fan on the fire that gets more from your log burner.

I'm glad I purchased this and only heard about it by chance when it appeared on youtube.

A product that does what it says it will do is refreshing to see and , in my book, makes it a good product. A worthwhile investment.

Fitted it yesterday would have been better without adjustable flue. Had to alter it to fit my flue maybe because am in France and flue sizes are a little bit different.hope it lasts OK the thickness of the unit and flexible flue is half as thick as my original flue. Had to make a new clamp as the thin one provided isn't strong enough to grip the pipe. Haven't lite it yet as I am repainting the stove, and it's 30 degrees outside. Was going to fit pump outside but it is very quiet so can keep it inside. Weather a bit colder now so used fire a few times now fitted a 100 mm pipe direct to outside for ventilation so decided to put pump outside. The living room definitely gets warmer than it did before and quicker. Think I will use less wood as don't need the fire full on to heat living room now but haven't been able to save fuel by letting fire go out earlier as the heat disappears quit quickly probably because of the boiler that heats the radiators, need to experiment turning off pump a bit earlier. Just got a thermometer for the flue to see what the flue temperature is to help with this. Initial experience good. Date of experience is 8/10/25.

Initially I was mistakenly sent the wrong size unit. Recoheat responded promptly and sent me the correct unit. I am very pleased.

We heat a big old stone house with a 27kw boiler stove. It heated the radiators very well, but the lounge, where the stove stands and where we sit, was always cold, regardless of how much wood we put on.
I tried everything over 4 years. I fitted the Recoheat myself in a couple of hours. I didn't imagine it could make that much difference. It has changed everything, and is working purely from heat that was being wasted up the chimney. The lounge is now toasty. I'm using a fraction the wood I was using (I was loading it to get warm) but best of all, my wife is happy and sits downstairs for longer. Happy days!

Did lots of research on the recoheat and contacted them direct as we were unsure which unit we would need. We then visited a showroom to actually see one in operation. We were instantly sold!
Used an accredited chimney sweep for the install (Catch the soot chimney sweep based in Barnsley south Yorkshire) he did an amazing job, highly recommend.
We chose to use copper pipe and attached this to the heat proof pipe. We felt this would future proof the unit overall.
As we were refurbishing the living room we decided to site the pump outside. This makes hardly any noise at all so probably would have been fine if we had decided to keep it in the house.
When the recoheat is running there is noise but in all honesty it's no worse than the stove top fan we previously had. Possibly less noise to be fair and you do get used to it.
We are definitely using less fuel. When we have the fire lit on an evening a full scuttle of coal lasts three evenings. This will definitely save a small fortune over the winter months.
We have definitely noticed that the rest of the house feels warmer and we are in an old Victorian end terrace property over three floors.

We definitely recommend installing a recoheat to your stove, it's a game changer!

Delighted with Recoheat. Despite long delays we were updated with details which was good. Now in use and super.

Customer service was fantastic. The unit arrived within a couple of weeks. When Recoheat found out from another customer that the power converter was faulty, they immediately replaced mine, even though I had not yet installed the unit. Natasha and Will were polite, responsive, and helpful. The unit seems to be helping to heat my house, but I ordered it just before the weather warmed, so I haven't had the opportunity to truly test out its efficacy. However, it's supposed to get cold again next week and I will run that baby through its paces. I'm looking forward to the extension, so I can direct the heat into the room more efficiently. If I had another stove, I'd buy a Recoheat for it too. I'd give this unit 10 stars if I could.

This is the third winter I've had the Recoheat. It has made a big difference: it helps heat my large, poorly insulated house very effectively, and has significantly reduced my gas bills. Really happy with it, I can't recommend it enough!

Fitted one of the Recoheat for a customer using the twin wall version. Customer loves it and it was nice and easy to fit.

Works great in cooperation with a ceiling fan. Room heats up fast with much less wood used

It's a little optimistic to think it can heat a whole house, but my open concept living room can now get to 20 degrees at the area 4 metres from the stove, which was impossible before. However my kitchen area, 10 metres from stove remains at 13 degrees (old French stone house with poor quality insulation!). We did have to install the Recoheat unit 4 inches up from the top of stove as the collar pipe couldn't be removed, so it might be reducing the heat output a little. Overall I'd still say that every wood stove should be fitted with one of these units.
