Definitely recommend this product. Definitely heats my living room up quicker. It's noisier than I thought but when you consider it's free heat whilst your fire is on its a no brainer. I use the reco heat first thing to get the house up to temperature then turn it off.

I just thought I would give you an honest review as I have had recoheat fitted over a year. Im in no way affiliated to ecoheat and paid full price for it.
I moved into a small 2 bed house in Scotland a few years ago and wanted to get a bit more from the stove. It didn’t seem to give a lot of heat out and the fire sat right back into the fireplace. I came up with a plan to bring the fire forward by fitting a Tee and connecting the chimney to the back, bringing the fire about 10 inches forward on to the hearth. I also watched all the videos about recoheat and decided to take a punt and install it the same time.
Previously I had a double stove fan on top, but TBH it didn’t make any difference. I could put my hand in front of it and could hardly feel a thing, it seemed to move the air a few inches. I tried with a small desk fan blowing underneath and again it had little effect the heat stayed in the room. I tried a fan blowing up the stairs this was a faff as had to keep turning it on a off because it was taking to much heat out regardless of which setting, I just could not find the right balance.
The advantage of my set up now is that the air is brought in from outside, it goes through a coil in the chimney that’s heated from the smoke passing through it, that gets pushed through front of the chimney, as mine is now at the back it blows over the top of the stove. It’s made a huge difference, it has taken the chill from the rest of the house. I’m not going to say its like the Bahamas upstairs but it’s very comfortable. Instead of just circulating the air with those powerless stove top fans. As the air brought in it pushes it through the whole house, similar to the positive ventilation fans.
Cons -
The pump is quite big and is noisy, it’s a deep constant deep hum like a fish tank pump x 10. I tried it on a concrete slab on rubber mats. I ended up making a insulated box and put it in the void/crawler space under my kitchen. The other option I guess would be to put it in a box outside and find a way to route the air pipe.
The hissing noise from the fire is annoying especially at first, you do get kinda used to it though and if your watching a movie you can turn it off. its certainly not as quiet they make out in the videos, at first I was driving me nuts, but like anything you do get used to it.
It’s not snake oil but it’s also not cheap. But it does offer a level of comfort you don’t get with just the stove top fans.
With all the issues mentioned above would I buy it again ABSOLUTLY without a doubt.
(I have the pump connected to a smart plug so can switch it on and off via Alexa and my dot has a built in thermometer, so I’ve set a routine via the app to switch it off when the lounge temperature gets below 20c)

I'm a stove installer who has been installing recoheat in properties which I've instated new stoves, and already existing stoves that can benefit from Recoheat. It's fantastic and installed correctly dramatically improves the convective heat of a stove. Simple yet highly effective. Strongly reccomend

I followed Recoheat online for several months and decided to install one when re-working our wood burning stove installation. I've used stoves for over 20 years as only heat sources and as supplementary ones in different houses.
I wanted to install an outside air kit on our stove so that was the opportunity to install the Recoheat this summer. The work on the wall for the air supply behind the stove meant I could site the Recoheat pump outside too.
I've been running the stove with Recoheat for a couple of months, but have really needed it in the last few weeks in cooler weather. The house is a 4 bedroom stone built farmhouse in a coastal southern Scotland. Since fitting the Recoheat I have not run the heating in the house. I will do in the coming months and will report again.
The stove installation is set well back into the original fireplace in a large (6m*4.5m) sitting room with 2.6m ceiling, two windows and two doors. The 5kW stove could heat the room well if the doors were shut but in a cool part of the house, if a door is open there is no hope of being comfortably warm in the room as the heat leaves immediately with cold drafts across the floor.
I used to run the stove with the room door open to the stairs during the day in the hope of heating the upstairs of the house somewhat, while preheating the sitting room for the evening, it made at most 1.5 deg C of difference to the upstairs and though it felt better, neither the upstairs or the living room was comfortable, even after hours of burning.
With the Recoheat running and the stove fuelled intermittently, I am finding a significant difference in the sitting room. With the room door open there is still enough heat in the room to feel comfortable, certainly after a couple of hours have passed as the landing outside the room is noticeably warmer so there is a lot less cold air rushing across the floor. I am seeing an increase in the upstairs temperature of up to 4 degC after 6 hours burning, I expect this would increase if I lit the fire earlier in the day.
I don't find any difference with how the stove operates or lights having the Recoheat in place, either turned on or off.
Yesterday I turned the Recoheat off mid afternoon to swap sockets for the pump and forgot to turn it back on for over 2 hours. The temperature gradient in the room was immediately noticeable when I came back in, I could feel the floor was cold and my head was in warmth, just as the room used to feel last year if we left the door open. 30 minutes with the Recoheat back on sorted it though. That experience moved me to write this review today.
A comment on the noise as I have been asked about it: I wouldn't choose to listen to music in the same room with the Recoheat running as the white noise hiss from the nozzle is audible, especially directly in front of the stove. Otherwise, for example for reading in the room I don't find it distracting or disturbing. The pump is inaudible installed outside.
Dealing with Recoheat: I had no problem dealing with Recoheat directly. I asked questions about the recommended options before purchase and got very fast, and useful replies.
I elected to purchase a 330mm flue pipe Recoheat so I could completely replace the lower section of flue rather than buying the 75mm one and having to buy other bits as well. I re-painted our stove while I had the chance and did the Recoheat to match, it took the paint (Calfire stove paint) well and looks excellent.
I have the pump powered via a Wiser Heating smart socket that turns off automatically every day at 2am so I can leave the pump running and the room door open in the evening and the pump takes care of itself after the fire is out. I may experiment with extending this time if I fuel the fire later into the evening
Needless to say, I recommend Recoheat, particularly if you use a stove for heating more than just occasionally. In a cool house, or a room where temperature gradient means sharing the heat with adjacent spaces is less comfortable, it is superb. For us, it has really expanded the way we can use the stove, and undoubtedly the efficiency of the installation.

Contacted Recoheat by email some time ago to discuss my particular requirements as needed clarification on a few things. Very impressed and a few months later ordered one, still to install, but confident I will be happy. Will provide feedback when up and running!

I have been looking at these over the past few winters and always forget. We have a small bungalow around 90 Sqm and heat it with our Air source heat pump which comfortably heats the house no complaints there does a fantastic job and our bills are less that I was paying running on oil.
However we have the wood burner on most evenings as I love a fire ! but the heat in the lounge/ dining room just gets too much and it will not travel very well to the bedrooms etc, we have a small 4 kw stove. I am hoping that using the recoheat will transform this! I fitted it myself in around 2 hrs and have installed the pump outside, the noise of the air coming through the exhaust nozzle is noticeable but certainly nowhere near as loud as it appears on the online videos. I couldn't help myself but light the fire on Saturday night just to try it out and the noise does get louder as the fire roars away however again with a tv on in the same room its just background noise , not even as loud as our fridge keep coming on and off.
I will have to live with it over winter to know the true impact its had but so far im more than happy with my purchase the idea is a very clever way to re capture wasted heat going up the flue . Also in away its acting a s a positive ventilation system pumping dense air into your home from outside . All in all a win win . Will was brilliant and came back to me with any queries and its arrived within 2 days !

What a fantastic product. I watched loads of videos about the recoheat before purchasing one. I was slightly sceptical but after watching the video and hearing how it work, I was sold on the idea. We fitted one on the log burner in our very big workshop, living room space. The results were fantastic and made a huge amount of difference. A very large difficult space to heat and the recoheat helped massively. We have now taken the log burner out in our main living room, Just so we can fit a new log burner with a recoheat. So pleased with how it works. Log burner are our only form of heating so the recoheat is a must. Thank you

Great little device to have added to your stove, to heat up your room a lot quicker with the recoheat.
Easy to install yourself and made a big difference in colder weather. Fire stove manufacturers should be offering this as a add on for stove sales.

October 2023 we began using our Recoheat ,combined with new wood burner installation into newly constructed extension to our bungalow.
The extension is approximately 28m2 with a vaulted ceiling and leads on to an open plan kitchen diner and then to an open corridor off of which 3 bedrooms and other rooms are located.
We were hoping that the new stove with the Recoheat would become our main source of heat .
Our builder who was also our registered wood stove installer considered this to be a “big ask “.
The Wood stove is a brand new 12kw Ottowa multi fuel but we have only burned seasoned wood .
We have found that by leaving bedroom and bathroom doors open the wood burner has heated the whole bungalow and we have only had need to run the central heating for 1 hour first thing in the morning before getting up .This has been the case for the entire 2023/2024 winter and as such has saved literally hundreds of pounds from our gas bill.
We did have a ceiling fan installed in the vaulted ceiling with a view to being able to circulate any warm air gathering up in the high point of the room . It does seem that this combined with the Recoheat has proved a real winning combination.
One thing we did discover was that because the pump for our Recoheat has been sited outside , it paid to switch off the pump before retiring to bed.
This is because after the stove has been shut down for the night and the flue eventually runs out of any residual heat ,if you leave it running it will be drawing cold air from outside and pumping the same into the building which is obviously not ideal. We however did find benefit from leaving Reco pump running after final logs were added and warm embers remained in stove .
To conclude we are delighted with the Recoheat which has surpassed everyone’s expectations.

Great customer service and a great product- it’s a simple device to fit and pumps out the heat.
Will is brilliant at answering any questions- totally helped with condensation/heating in a solid walled two bed apartment.

Excellent service. My chimney sweep installed it with a copper pipe to the outside of the house as the pump is a bit noisy. The recoheat does give out a whooshing sound which is easily drowned out by the TV. You forgot it’s there after a while.
The heat expelled is very good and heats the room up quickly. It’s sn old house with high ceilings.
It doesn’t heat the rest of the house so don’t think it will move air to other rooms. The heat simply won’t travel that far.
I am really pleased with it and very glad I purchased it.

great little thing makes a lot of heat from the fluepipe I have a cast iron stove from Morsø which give a ton of heat but the recoheater gives a lot of heat to the room allready from the very start
I can recommend this device if your stove have a vertical flue, the compressor i would if possible recommend having outdoors. Frede Andersen

Received the Recoheat very quickly after ordering. Will spent several weeks emailing back and forth to make sure all my concerns and questions were satisfied. I'm in the US and he provided the power transformer free of charge. It was damaged in transit and he immediately dropped shipped a replacement from Amazon.
My wood stove can take up to 45 minutes to heat up fully and trip the thermostat to turn on the fan. The RecoHeat begins to push warm air within 2 mins of starting a fire. Heated the room and more very quickly, and that was with the pump pushing only half the air due to the damaged transformer.
One of the biggest benefits will be being able to build a small kindling fire to remove the chill on cool fall or spring mornings without overheating the house while bringing the stove to temperature as the day warms up.
I'm looking forward to using it next winter when temps really drop. But in testing the few cold nights after installation I used much less wood than I normally would.
