I really value the reports from the inspections - they're wonderfully thorough and provide plenty of photos and videos.

It can take a week or so lead-time for the inspection, so some patience is required.

Happy with the service, it was quick and efficient.

Fast, quick, and easy for the customer. From NZ all we had to do was book and pay. Thorough report, with itemised categories and many photos to support the report. Followed up by a phone call from the inspector. Graeme - was easy to speak with, honest and thorough.

I had 3 pre-purchase inspections with Redbook and finally found a car without major issues. Worth paying to check them buying a car with loads of issues.

Got a pre purchase inspection done in another state. Inspection came through saying that there were some flaws. Did not mention the vehicle is unroadworthy. Didn't have an exhaust, just a straight pipe. Slow leak in radiator. Sway bar and bushes needed replacing. Ended up flying interstate to purchase the vehicle, brought it to a mechanic for rwc. Expected a few repairs but definitely wasn't what you'd expect from having a mechanic inspect a vehicle and not mention those things. Won't be going through redbook again.

Fantastic car inspection report, very thoroughly.

It was good, very Vanilla, not much detail, seemed all cut and paste in most answers with no real substance, as if it was done at home, using the same words given to a thousand other reports, without seeing the vehicle at all, very lack luster.

Inspection was done well, quickly, and communication from Adam was clear, and to the point.

I ordered the middle level Redbook Vehicle Inspection.

I am very happy with the reporting, it was a very complet coverage of the car inspected.

A big time and money saving saving for me as the car was located in another corner of Australia.

The Redbook inspector called me after the had completed his inspection to have a chat and let me ask any questions. That is a very good feature of the Redbook Inspection.

A couple of comments.

1. The car that was 12 minutes 4 old with less than 4,000 km. It is almost "as new".

The reporting scores were almost all 4/5 without and other comments than a standard wear condition for its age and milage. It would be useful to have dinner indication of - is it a problem? -.

I imagine that a 5/5 could be reserved for new cars but then why would you get a new car inspected?

2. The middle tiers package stated a road test drive of a certain number of kilometres. Unfortunately the technician hit peak hour traffic and could not perform a proper road test.

Since Redbook knew about the specific road test to be carried out together with the exact location, Redbook could have carried the inspection at another time of the day.

Hope those this points could be improved on. Still think it was a very good inspection, I can recommend this service.
