Exceeded our expections!

We requested an inspection on a Friday evening and the inspection occurred on Monday morning. The report was surprisingly informative and enlightened us on the overall condition of the vehicle. We were impressed with the rapid response and the creditability of the inspection report. Thank you Mouhamed for your expert assistance.

John was great

John was great. Very helpful and informative.
Identified some items not picked up by us. He was very thorough.
Third time we have used Redbook inspection and we will definitely use them again when required.

Disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. The inspection failed to identify that the car in issue was in fairly urgent need of front and rear brake pad replacement. A service performed 2 days after picking the car up identified the issue which cost a further $580.

I would have thought that the inspection would have picked up such fundamental issues as this.

As stated in our terms the inspection is visual only, and we do not remove any parts from the vehicle during inspection. We also specify we do not check pad or rotor thickness during inspection.

We highly recommend everyone closely read the sample report and exclusions list to ensure the inspection is suitable for their purpose.

Perhaps ask if I had used the service…

Perhaps ask if I had used the service before and if not a brief advisory of the process. Also, intercommunication between the inspector and the dealership - I had to do background work to ensure the relevant person at the dealership new of the time and was actually available on the day.

I understand that your team liaises directly with the seller to arrange the inspection time. My comment was more about the visibility of that process from my side as the client, rather than suggesting no contact occurred.

In my case, I needed to do some background work myself to ensure the relevant person at the dealership was aware of the inspection time and would be available on the day. I wasn’t sure whether this had already been fully confirmed at your end, so I took it upon myself to follow up to avoid any issues.

It may just be a matter of clearer communication or confirmation to the client once the time has been set with the seller, so everyone is aligned.
