The website for the Rapid Pass is not a great deal of use.
It lost my result about 30 minutes after I took the test.
So I had to do it again at the test center.
Not much point in doing it in advance really.
Staff are obsessed with asking for your donor car and look confused when you tell them you never got one.
If you then use your driver's license they still don't fix it for next time and give you a card.
So this will keep repeating itself.
Biggest complaint however is the first online question is "Are you unwell "?
I wasn't, I woke up with a sore throat and answered accordingly.
It doesn't stop you though, it allows you to continue implying that medical personnel on site will decide based on what you have going on.
Not the case, it's a blanket no. So the website should tell you not to attend based on the negative answer.
But it doesn't.
They are very bureaucratic but don't mind wasting your time.
I'll decide next time.
I signed up for an online class, and regret it.
I signed up for an online class, paid for it and only then was given the software/hardware requirements. I only have mobile devices so I contacted customer service to ask if I could still take the course. They responded later saying the issue was resolved and closed, but with no answer to my question. Two days and another inquiry with no response.
Poor customer service

My brother's home is literally falling apart we called Red Cross because we had a hole in one of the bedrooms and a raccoon got into our home. We were elated when somebody came out to help us. These women stated that they might be able to find volunteers and maybe help us get a tarp put up on our roof. They gave us a case number, I thought wow finally we're getting some help. They texted me tonight to say they are not a repair company and for me to pay someone to put a tarp up. We don't have that type of money. What a disappointment and a literal joke on us. I lost a full day of work on the day they came.

I donated at Hendricks county sheriffs office. It was a great place to have donation. Our.Clean, quiet and plenty of room and comfortable temp. Ally was my venipuncture person. She was very pleasant, friendly and appeared to like her job. She was professional and efficient. She did a great job removing my blood for the donation. I have given many donations so I know a good employee ❣️No bruise or discomfort after donation.

I think you guys need to change your guidelines. You complain about blood shortages , but the last two times I got deferred . The first time. I was apparently high BP and perfect iron. Today I was higher than last time and she said my BP was ok but my iron was 1 off. 12.4 and I needed to be 12.5 fricken ridiculous.
So I don’t even wanna hear about blood shortages. Plus you guys went from the prick iron to a measuring tool from the thumb. I don’t think it’s accurate
BEWARE
BEWARE! Do not donate to the Red Cross! Privy to an employee of the RC that brags about using donated funds to travel=fly to Vegas, Florida ect, rent cars, stay in nice hotels, charge food and bring along family. All on donated funds of donors.
Poor Management
I usually donate at Vitalent in Colorado but I thought I’d donate in Tucson since we’re visiting. My first visit was canceled and rescheduled. Both times, I waited over half an hour from my scheduled time even to go in and do my intake interview. ARC seems pretty lax in terms of respecting peoples’ time. At Vitalent, I’m in and out in 45 minutes. I won’t donate at ARC again.

I went to donate blood yesterday which turned out to be a very unpleasant experience.
The lady doing information inputs was so cold, unfriendly, not at all nice.
And to think that doing the online registration will make the process faster & easier, that unpleasant lady had to ask the same questions again?! Over 40 questions?!! Seriously???
So how did the online registration made it faster?
If you job is help people and safe…
Your job is help people and safe lifes, why in Salem Oregon the Red Cross are very rude with homeless people, how you try to stop someone to give water at 100° weather to a few homeless an have the audacity to tell them that move cross the street in a busy street with a big dog, remeber was 100° I don't think was a good idea! Red Cross you help is for everybody your job is help people.
What changed!!. I don't see the friendly culture anymore.

I paid $40 for a first aid,CPR, AED class. After taking the class, the results went ghost. I reached out to get help could not get any help. I feel like Red Cross give scammer vibes a lot of the time.

I lived in California for 40 years we were raised in the military I always always called the Red Cross to try to get to volunteer and I don't know how many people tried to volunteer like me and never ever got a call back it's always voicemail always everywhere I've tried to call please help me understand why you're not doing volunteers I've had several things try to call the volunteer and they don't answer phone prayers go out to the people that actually really need it God bless us all
Don't train here if rural
They try to make their online course seem like it will fill requirements for CPR courses for rural students. THIS IS WRONG! They take your money and do not offer any support to anyone except those in urban areas. The agents then lied to me and said that I purchased it a day before I did and that's why they refused the refund. Even though my card + their emails said the correct date.
I Riskef my life and I regret it
worst experience ever. The staff is so incompetent. They couldn't find my vein and created a blood clot which blocked the flow of blood. It's not worth it to risk your life in your health to donate blood when the staff doesn't know what they're doing.

I signed up for a class and canceled it because of problems finding how to take it online and couldn't figure it out. I am not receiving a refund because it was over 24 hours. Customer Service was horrible.

I will never donate blood again for the soul reason of the unwanted phone calls. I have told them to stop several times through the years. But still get the phone calls 1 - 4 times a week to donate blood. I've blood the number and been in contact with a lawyer do to the calls. Any one donating beware. I hope the phone calls was worth someone giving you a bad name and not donating blood anymore.
Red Cross is a 👎for me.
On January 27th I had a devastating fire in my apartment. It was a total loss everything's gone. Material things are replaceable. But there's some things that aren't, such as my late husband's ashes. The First Responders from ARC I have to say we're amazing. They were kind, compassionate, and extremely understanding. It was 3:30 in the morning when they were talking to me. I have a lot of respect for the First Responders that came out. They gave me a debit card with $350 on it and I got a $50 voucher for clothes at the Goodwill. They were just amazing like immediate needs right there I got a blanket and I got toiletries a little bag of toiletries. I just couldn't thank them enough.
My nightmare, however begins a couple days after the fire when Red Cross contacted me. They connected me with a caseworker who seem to have a problem with the fact that I was just pretty miserable after the fire. She kept trying to push him Mental Health Services on me and I explained to her more than once that I already have a counselor. I suffer from depression and anxiety and there's times that it's really bad for me. I have a therapist that I see every week and I have been seeing him for the past 8 and 1/2 years since my husband passed away.
I can't explain these last two weeks except to say that I have no clue where I'm going or what I'm doing. I can also admit that there have been a few times when I was snappish or snotty. It was never intended towards anybody. I even told the caseworker this the second time I spoke with her. Because the first time I was quite upset it was the day after the fire. I apologize to her and I told her I said you know my whole life was in that apartment. She said she understood. Apparently she didn't. From that point on she did nothing but give me a hard time. She called my friend up and told her that I am a liar and that I wasn't checking into the resources she gave me. I was. I checked into every shelter and every place she gave me to try to get warmth and guess what none of them had a place for me to stay overnight. That usually happens a lot when the weather gets bitter cold. My husband passed away and eat and a half years ago and since then my life has just been a crap shoot. My caseworker would call everybody else including my landlord and texting people at 11:30 at night saying that she was trying to help me. She had my number she knew she could get in touch with me. She had actually left a message on my phone telling me to get back in touch with her that I could call her or text. The only thing she forgot, was her cell phone number. It was four days until I was able to touch base with her. I was sleeping in my car and I had no gas and I couldn't start the car for warm because I had no gas or no money. Her first response was I was exaggerating that I didn't call all those times. I have no reason to lie. I will admit that I have mental health issues with depression and anxiety, It doesn't make me a bad person and it certainly doesn't make me a liar. I have every text message that she ever sent me. She would talk over me and not listen. And then when I got snotty she got offended. I felt so discriminated against and looked down upon. When I finally got in touch with that day and I explained to her that I was cold and then I needed some food she offered to put $100 on the debit card that they gave me because I was running low so that I can get a room and I can get some warmth and I could sleep in a bed. She never put that on and because of that I spent an entire weekend out in the cold and then from there I ended up in the hospital. I hadn't eaten in about 5 days it was so cold and I had no gas to get anywhere. I would have loved to have gone to a shelter or any place for that matter to get a little warmth. I then proceeded to call the ombud who supposedly is in charge of the Red Cross or that's where you would make complaints to. When they got back to me they did the same thing they talk to you like your scum. Like well why didn't you do this and why didn't you do that? Well I did but all those resources there was no room for me in any of those shelters. Then because I couldn't find a shelter they called me a liar. I do have proof of everything I'm writing every text message she sent. All my memories of my husband. The few things I had left of him or gone now. And they couldn't understand why I was in a crappy mood and why I wasn't friendly. AMR should screen their volunteers a little better. The case workers make you feel like you just want to end it oh. I'm on ssdi. I'm on limited income and will be getting my dep. & rent back. I have taken care of myself a long time. I just need a hand up for a few days. I'm just about 60 and I have health issues it's really tough on me being out in the cold. But make no mistake, AMR does not care. When I complain to the Ombud, my case was closed, saying I had everything I needed. Except for gas in my car, warm food and a place to sleep. They abandoned me.

I have donated to the American Red Cross before but I quit after a while, I noticed another review stating how much the people made at the organization and that's one of the reasons I stopped giving, they make a obscene amount of money but a lot of it doesn't go to where they say it does, I haven't donated now for a couple years because the money doesn't go to people in need, it goes into the pockets of the people running it, that's sad! I won't be donating any more to the Red Cross either, I was hoping my donation would help families in need but it does not, shame on the Red Cross.

Friendly Staff
Friendly Staff, misleading email promotions. STAY ALERT AND BE AWARE! $45 donation invite for a platelet donation. DONATED IN AUGUST, received a $10 gift card via tangocard. Customer service was not interested in helping in their promotion that they are running to get donors in the door. I WILL NOT be donating again. Misleading lure to get people in.
