The Worst

Worst, joined posted got shadow banned for Posting the same advise several times in a disk golf forum. All the questions where the same so I used the same advise. That fact that they ban you, do not tell you about it and you have to figure it out and then have no process for getting unbanned other than appealing daily. So not appeal and wait your turn. No appeal daily and hope they pic your appeal to resolve. I will do nothing but bad mouth reddit for the rest of my life. The worst.

Banned regularly for voicing my views and opinions

If you have the wits and foundational knowledge to separate fact from fiction there's a lot of good info here and people with experience willing to pass on their knowledge. Outside of that the site is a joke and I've deleted my accounts. You don't need an account to read, only to participate, and if it ever moves to needing an account to read I'll just stop using the site completely. Avoid the discussion forums. Off topic trolling and locker room behavior are rampant and mods don't care about that but say something in discussion that doesn't fit an accepted narrative or agenda and you'll quickly find yourself banned from the sub by mods or admind. You dont need to say anything that's peppered with cursing or is offensive to be banned either because apparently people feel entitled to NOT have to hear anything that calls their view into question or disagrees with it and YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM SUBS LEFT AND RIGHT DAMN NEAR EVERY TIME YOU SPEAK. ECHO CHAMBER MEMBERS ONLY AND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT ONLY POLITICAL THREADS, ITS ALL ACROSS THE PLATFORMS. Mods and admins have way too much power to ban and every ban i have received with the exception of ONE has been over opinion. The one ban that wasn't for opinion was under a rule that didn't even apply to my comment but they twisted themselves in knots to try to fit the square peg into the round hole so that they could ban me. I wished ill on a total jerk and while inappropriate depending on your stance on dealing with jerks, certainly is not a threat by any definition of the word, but that's how they justified that one instance. The other dozens of sub bans before I had enough of the Russia and deleted my account didn't even come with a reason and many of those subs I only had a single comment in and those comments were purely opinions free of cursing or vulgarity, though from the looks of things that wouldn't be reason to ban anyway because reddit is full of cursing and vulgarity so im left with the conclusion that my viewpoint and opinion is what got me banned from those subs.

No Free Speech

It's hard to believe this site was founded by someone who promoted freedom of speech. Now, this site is so censored that it's almost impossible to post anything. Want to see what social media would look like when no one can post anything? Go to Reddit.

I can't quite figure out the site

The least you can do is let people know why you ban their account.

(Appeal is pointless as far as I can tell)

Hard to keep track when after a few comments your account just goes poof

(I have seen plenty of accounts with comments worse than mine so I don't know what your algo and filter wants)

It is already hard enough to post anything without the mod interfering with bias.

Especially when you speak out about bad experience of certain business on their subreddit full of fanboys/girls

Take so much effort to write a negative review post without getting deleted in that context

Nothing but bullies and trolls

Nothing but bullies and trolls. The people on this website only see a world through their parents basements and computers. They probably can't even drive to Wawa without their computers on. Nothing but trolls on computer. Also the website advocates recreational abuse and bullying. Just terrible. Use the internet without it. Nothing but bullies.

Inmature System

Impossible to navigate, and when you complete a story and you want to post, it lets you restart ... wasted hours without succeeding. What's the point, make it user-friendlier and simpler !

Potentially valid community, in practice only source of frustration

This place would be potentially a more friendly, less toxic place than stackexchange and similar communities, to discuss freely of pretty every topics, including taboo topics, and with a very wide audience. Unfortunately, it is designed in such a way that, unless you are an expert ready to spend hours and hours on this community, you must be ready to only get frustration and no help. I understand that everything has its rules, but when such rules are too complicated, tyrannic or exclusive, that is never a good thing. I had an account since 2020 but after 5 years I decided to delete in, after yet another rush of rage and disappointment. Even if you try to always be polite, educated, consistent with topics, to formulate your questions well, 9 times out of 10 you can't post, some moderators are always ready to delete your post and without a sound reason. Either human or bot moderators. More than often you can't post in subreddits because you haven't enough "karma" (reputation), but gaining it is definitely hard, even if you are in good faith (simply said, pretty nobody is ready to cast you a +1 vote, to help you rising your karma, no matter if you try to rise valid or intelligent points !)
Another very stupid and frustrating thing is that a lot of threads get archived (frozen) either automatically or by moderators from time to time: thus, one is often forced to open a duplicate topic in case he has anything to add or to ask. Very stupid !
Let me also add some minor annoyances, like pointless messages by auto-moderators, a lot of people starting their posts with TLDR, the infamous NSFW filter and more stupid annoyances.
In short: it could be a very useful community where you can find suggestions and experiences hardly found elsewhere, but you won't get any help unless you are a guru or a priviledged user, who maybe has developed digital addiction spending hours and hours to earn some popularity and reputation (definitely un-healthy). Such a place instead should be opened to anybody who is in good faith and who just tries to either get help or share his experience, without any discrimination

The biggest toxic waste pit of the Internet

Reddit is the only place where you go to a "sub" (thread) called "r/ihatereddit" just to be downvoted for saying that you hate Reddit and just don´t dare to justify yourself because then you are instantly banned (which is a good thing because then you don´t have to deal with dumb people).
