What a wonderful sauna! Very well packaged and comes with intuitive instructions. We bought a 3 person Cove and put it together on a terraced patio in our backyard. We upgraded the stove to the 8 k... See more

I had some pretty simple questions after my sauna was delivered and it was a painful ordeal getting a single straight answer.

The heater arrived with a faulty micro switch, meaning the whole unit needed to be replaced. I understand that these things happen, but Harvia has been dragging their feet with getting the replacement sent. The process of getting a new heater is reaching two weeks with the unit not even being shipped yet.

It’s Legit. Well packed, well made, easy assembly. Extra parts in the box, just in case. Nice work. I’d buy again.

We recently moved and had to leave our original Redwood Outdoors sauna, so I bought a second for our new home. The reasons I bought one again:
- Excellent packaging. The crate was jostled significantly while being transported across a construction site and no damage was done to the components inside including the 6' windows.
- Quality of construction and instructions. All the pieces are well-labeled and easy to assemble. The change from convex beams to grooved will make for a better seal from wind, and the floor/roof panels versus individual planks made the construction much faster. The entire erection took around six hours by myself.
Disappointments based on my first sauna:
- Removal of components. The front porch, Huum Drop heater option, upper bench back rest, and lower fence are no longer included.
We are still waiting to power our new sauna, and cannot wait to get back in!

We went with the six person outdoor cube sauna. The installation went as advertised in the video, and we'd definitely recommend having two people available for some parts of it.
The sauna is sooo lovely - great material and quality and a wonderful experience. The harvia app is easy to use and I'm glad we upgraded to the largest heater with wifi. Its taking 30-40 minutes to go from 30 to 175, which is pretty great. The heater does turn off sometimes so we still need to figure out if it's overheating and why. Oh, and the hat is a game changer to tolerate the really high temps! Overall strongly recommend!

I ordered from Redwoods bc of a referral, and I was told the customer service was top notch. Unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. My impression is that the systems they have in place are not working for them as they grow as a company, and bad service is probably going to continue until they fix their overall processes.
Timeline:
- I first ordered the Garden Sauna on 8/11 and was told that there was a chance the wifi component to the heater I wanted (Virta 10.5 kW) was backordered. I ordered anyway
- They confirmed 8/12 that the component was in stock and I should expect delivery on 8/25. Based on this, I made plans with a contractor to build level ground among other things (like a deck; pics show that it was a big project)
- No contact until 8/21 when I reached out to them bc I didn't have shipping confirmation. I was told that they had a new system that messed them up and other people were ahead of me on the list for the wifi component. New ship date was supposed to be 9/23
- Had them ship the sauna structure separate bc of the work with the contractor, and was told on 8/26 that the sauna would ship 8/28
- No contact until 8/29 when I had to reach out and was told the whole operations team had COVID
- I had to reach out again on 9/3 and was told that the sauna structure still had not shipping. Finally shipped about a week later
- No contact about the wifi component until 9/26, and was told that there was a delay and new estimated shipping date was 10/19
- I was then told on 10/14 and 10/16 that the heater and component would ship out the next day, but that didn't happen. Was told 10/20 that if it didn't go out the previous week, it would go out 10/20 (it didn't)
- called 10/20 and was told it was scheduled for 10/23. The heater went out 10/23, but the rocks necessary to turn it on weren't shipped until 10/25.
So basically I was not prioritized and was given the run around so many times. I will say that every individual I talked to was very nice and tried to help, but they were just unable to. E.g., there was no way they could make sure my order went out other than to just write a note to the operations team (who clearly didn't care about that at all). Pretty terrible experience overall.
In terms of the quality of the sauna - it's pretty solid and decent for the price. I live in a cold climate and it takes forever for it to get to a high temp (170+) because there are a lot of leaks (to the point that I'm going to install a drop ceiling with insulation. I like how big it is though and it looks pretty dope with the big window (I added the lights in the pic).
I'm super glad it's working now and love that I have a sauna, but I wouldn't order from here if I were to do it again.

I absolutely loved my experience with Redwood Outdoors. The sauna is almost done, just having to hook up the electric, which we hope to have it finished by this coming weekend. It is a beautiful and well-built sauna. It definitely adds to our backyard, and I can't wait to use it many, many times. But my best experience was due to your Customer Service Rep. Brad, out of Kent, WA. He was amazing all the way around. I had a lot of questions and concerns, and Brad was nothing but helpful, courteous and prompt with his answers. He also tried calling me one time to go over everything via phone, but I was at work and not able to answer. But he still got his answers to me by email. I aways felt taken care of and comfortable with all the answers he gave me. I really believe a great point of contact, which Brad is, is the key to customer satisfaction and a great purchasing experience. Of course, the product has to be great too, but as everyone knows there are always questions and if those aren't taken care of properly the experience is everything but good. Brad, however, is exemplary. If all of your Customer Service Rep's are like him, you are in luck and should keep all of them happy, so they stay where they are and continue their great work for Redwood Outdoors. I even feel like that if I have any more questions or concerns after the purchase that I still will get the best customer service, which makes me feel very confident in my purchase, that I am not left alone, if anything were to happen. Great Job Redwood Outdoors and a shoutout to Brad, the best Customer Service Rep. I have ever dealt with!!! Happy Holidays to all of you and continue building wonderful saunas and the great customer service you have!

Kit works well, good that extra lengths were included, needed them, crate damage required their use and also needed gluing tongue and groove ribs back in place that were split on 12 components, all done, glass door is shy of contacting weatherstrip around the whole perimeter of the door by about 1/8”. Would suggest using a thicker weatherstrip. Quality control should have caught this as it was a completely assembled component.

We purchased a Cove sauna. The staff at the Seattle showroom were very knowledgeable and helped us choose the best sauna for our space. Assembly was easy. All the parts were included and the instructions were clear. Some of the wood parts were not labeled but that wasn't a problem since the size and shape made it obvious. The assembly videos were also very helpful. My wife and I put it together in a day.
Why three stars? The pre-assembled door was put together sloppily. The bottom magnetic door closer did not align with the metal piece on the glass so it does nothing. Worst though, there is over 1/4" gap at the lower half of the door between the glass and the rubber seal. (The top half of the door seals normally.) This gap lets in a strong draft of cold air at the bottom of the space. After spending thousands of dollars to purchase a sauna, you shouldn't have to wear socks to keep your feet warm while taking a sauna. I'm sure I can fix this but it will require removing the door hinges, filling in the screw holes, drilling new holes in the correct position and re-hanging the door. Disappointing.

Very responsive customer service. They addressed all questions promptly and thoroughly. I have greatly enjoyed the Summit Sauna so far.

Sauna package arrived well packed. Nothing was damaged. Assembly was straight forward, however, it took me a little longer to assemble. Only real challenge was the metal roof but it son and its dry after snow and rain.
Electrician just finished wiring. Turned it on and it warmed up fine. The WiFi controls have a lot of options that I need to figure out. Wil load stones today and hopefully get to use it tomorrow.

Redwood answered all my questions as I was making my decision to buy a sauna. They listened to my goals to help me narrow down options. Shipping was straight forward. We were able to call to get support when we had questions during the build process. Incredibly solid company and I love my Cove 3 person outdoor sauna!

Jared and Reggie(?) enthusiastically took multiple calls and fielded many questions during my diy installation and in prep for the electrical installation. They were knowledgeable and quickly gave me the clarification/guidance that I needed for a dynamite build. While I hope to not have to talk to them again, I take comfort in knowing that they are there. Thanks again for all of your help.

This time when I called I got a Quick response for a replacement of a hinges that didnt last -
originally my request for a replacement via email went unanswered

well packaged, well made, great design with the large window. I think the basket with the hot stones should have unobtrusive narrow " belt" - maybe 2 wooden braces - but I guess you can't have wood so close to the hot rocks

everything but....the 2 lounges that I bought to use inside the barrel sauna are too wide. Am going to have to return them.
