Absolute appalling service!
Absolute appalling service!
Do not expect to travel overseas and expect any support from this bank! The customer support and arrogance was disgusting! They closed my account without notice and left me stranded in Australia without and access to money! What a joke!
If I could give this Bank a negative…
If I could give this Bank a negative star I would they are the worst damn Bank to do business with ever! Not only do they let fraudulent charges happen to your account all the time, but they won't even catch your back when it does happen and make you do all the work to prove to them that you didn't make these charges?? Customer service is mediocre and I literally set on hold for 20 minutes just be told that the department was closed just a minute ago insane this is a business account also... pulling all my money out of this bank and going somewhere else..
HELOC disaster
I really cant believe after 16yrs at this bank they cant lend on a 65%CLTV with 800credit, 200k in bank and more than ample income. There is a reason this banks stock is falling so fast, they dont care and are in survival mode. People work here for a paycheck and clock watching. I worked here years ago and nothing has changed. Same poor work ethic as always and if I cant borrow a tiny amount on a heloc who can? haha
This bank sets you up to be in this…
This bank sets you up to be in this ongoing flood of overdraft fees... it's Absolutely ridiculous! I have 7 that's overdraft fees within 2 days, do y'all know how much that is....? Let me tell you. @ $36 per overdraft fee, that's $216... I haven't seen a full paycheck since December of 2024!!! I'm not just any new customer, I have been banking with this place for going on 6 years this October. We all have troubles from time to time. They have got me on this cycle that is just taking our money... this is my experience with regions bank Pensacola Florida, needless to say, we're closing this account. Since January of 2025 I'm guessing they've gotten us for close to or over $2000. I'm SO Done. Do your research before opening any bank account.
DO NOT BANK HERE
DO NOT BANK HERE! unprofessionalism, rude and unprofessional!
I my savings and checking account with Regions Bank in November 2024. The only reason I the account at this bank is because my sister here and had a stroke back in August 202 was for me to put money into her account instead of driving to Katy Texas.
The only stipulations that was required of opening an account was to use your debit card each month and have direct deposit.
I had direct deposit going into my checking account. My checking and savings account has a zero balance for about two weeks.
After two weeks, my check was direct deposited into my checking account, I was online shopping with Amazon and other the morning of my deposit with no problem. I go into the branch to withdraw money to put into my sister's account and I spoke with Renata Cruz (Teller) ,
I was told that I could not withdraw any money from my account because my account was closed, of course I was caught off guard because my direct deposit had posted, and I had no issues shopping online and paying bills. I ask her, why was my account closed? Ms. Cruz asked for my ID and debit card which in fact I gave her Cruz was typing and I ask her again. Why was my account closed? She says and I was not notified of this closure.
Miss Cruz said if you give me a minute,
I'm trying to find out, she was rude and had an attitude and unbothered as to the reason why my account was closed. I asked to speak to a manager. As she was walking off, I asked her for my ID and my debit card which was fitting on her desk unattended as she walks away, she said I'll give it to you when I get back.
Branch manager, Libeth Custer comes over and I that her that I was informed by Miss Cruz that my account was closed and needed to know why! miss that my account was closed and informed me that I could not withdraw any money until the next business day.
I was still puzzled as to why I was still able to shop and pay bills online if it was taking money account that was considered "" so I walked out of the branch and I went directly to the ATM and withdrew $60. I went back into the branch again and asked, how I'm able to withdraw money from the ATM if my account is closed?
she looks confused she says Miss Hayes have a seat. Let me see what's going on. I explained to her that my sister had a and I need to put money in her account to get medication and I'm not I was very upset, and I will be writing and closing my account March 14, 2025.
I went another Regions Bank location and spoke with someone there and I was informed that my account was never closed. The account was closed but not the checking account and it was considered a soft close due to my zero balance, but I will never here again!
This bank is all about fees and and ways to steal from you
This bank is all about fees and stealing your money. The moment you put your money in this bank they will alter settings after 3-6mos and slowly start allowing you to charge items EVEN IF YOU TELL THEM DO NOT ALLOW CHARGES TO GO THRU IF NO $ IN ACCOUNT. No service / over draft fees for 3mos. Then all of a sudden they allow charges to go thru. EVEN though for 1st 3mos they get declined they will alter this and begin their raid on your money. GET AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. THEY CLAIM IF YOUR DUE DATE IS 2/16 TO SUBMIT PAYMENTZ TO A SECURED CARD IT IS LATE ON 2/14 BC IT HAPPENED ON WEEKEND. THESE SHILLS HAVE NO SHAME. THEY JUST ROB YOU BLIND!!! AVOID THESE SCUZ BALLS. THE WHOKE OUTFIT JUST FEELS DIRTY WHEN YOU WALK IN. REAKS TO HIGH heaven of FRAUD AND THEFT.
Here’s a letter I wrote to region bank…
Here’s a letter I wrote to region bank about racial profile and discrimination. Baton Rouge, La.
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my serious concern about an incident I recently experienced at one of your branches, in Baton Rouge, La. (Essen Lane) It is my belief that I was subjected to racial discrimination and profiling, which has deeply affected my perception of Regions Bank as an institution that values diversity and inclusion.
On October 2024, I visited your branch located at Baton Rouge, La (Essen Lane) to talk with a branch manager, about my checking account that had Two checks that’s was posted on my account, that I didn’t not have a clue about. During my interaction with the staff, I felt that I was treated unfairly based on my race. When I walked into the bank that day, the branch manager (Amanda C.) asked for my ID and Bank card. When she saw the check that was posted. She said; yes ! You have committed fraud an your region bank account we’ll be close. I was so shocked that she accuse me of fraud. I had came into the bank, so I can find out what’s going on, with my bank account. I was very confused, and hurt. So, I decided to go to another bank in the black community to get some help about my bank account. The banker at Region, in Baton Rouge La. (Florida St) helped me with my account. She showed me how the checks didn’t have my signature and how they were washed. I had to asked her what is wash, she showed me on the printed checks. I was so nervous I was thinking about my identity was stolen. I even changed my phone number. The banker that helped me, located (Bon Carre Branch). Thanks for her.
This experience left me feeling disrespected and marginalized, and I believe it reflects a broader issue of racial profiling that needs to be addressed. It is important for all customers to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their racial or ethnic background. I trust that Regions Bank shares this belief, and I am hopeful that you will take immediate steps to investigate this matter. This is NOT her first time doing this, she did it to another black man, but she call the police on him.
I kindly request that you take the following actions:
1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the incident I have described and any patterns of similar experiences reported by other customers.
2. Provide me with an update on the steps Regions Bank is taking to prevent future occurrences of racial discrimination or profiling within your branches.
3. Offer a formal apology for the discrimination I experienced and outline how you intend to ensure such incidents do not occur again.
I look forward to your prompt response and to seeing concrete actions taken to resolve this matter. Should you require any further information from me, I am happy to provide it.
Thank you for your attention to this serious issue.

Derek Fisher was my representative when I called to help with my account. I can’t tell you enough great things about him. He was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for your service.
Regions bank assists scammers
I 'returned to sender', meaning shipping box was returned unopened, a package from a webstore, was never refunded, no response to emails. I opened a claim with regions who said they investigated the claim and are ruling in favor of the scammer. The original tracking # shows the package was returned to sender.
Do not be fooled by the existence of a claims dept, you have no protection whatsoever with regions.

I’m a small business operator that has been banking with regions for a few years now. Tried several times to apply for small loans but has been turned down for petty reason. My credit ratings is in good standings, just don’t know if this is the bank to do business with 👎🏽
Regions banking sucks
Regions bank sucks. They refuse to help there customers on anything. They keep charging excessive overdraft charges to my account every month this has been going on for 2 years and can't get anything resolved I live on disability social security no matter what I do they just keep adding them and when I call they tell me I can't help you. WORST BANK EVER
Regions Does not protect you!!!
Regions Does not protect you!!!
My wife recently got scammed out of $ 4,000 dollars and Regions allowed it to happen. The proof is in the details.
My wife is a housewife and needs very little money for getting nails done, coffee, and light shopping. When she needs money, I transfer into her account. This has been our practice for years. Her average account balance for the last several years has been between $ 250 and $ 300.
On the fateful day that she got a scam email from what she thought was Life Lock, she called the number, and the scammers accessed our computer. They convinced her to sign into her bank account. Once in the account they transferred $4,000 from two accounts that she was joint on wife our daughter. They then convinced her that the $4,000 that just showed up in her account was their money she mistakenly transferred from them. They told her she needed to pay them immediately. They directed her to go to Target and buy $4,000 dollars worth of gift cards and send them the numbers. She did as she was told. They then told her that only $3,000 went through and directed her to Walgreens to get another $1,000. Luckily, I caught up with her there and stopped the scam.
We all ask how she could fall for this ridiculous scam but keep in mind they are professionals. They kept her on the phone and had her in a panic. This happens all too often.
Where I find Regions Bank derelict in their protections is that at no point during all these very suspicious activities at no point did Regions block or ask for authorization of any of the transactions.
Summary is a customer who for years has had an average balance of $250 to $300 dollars for years and one night over a course of 3 to 4 hours transfers $4,000 from another account and makes four separate transactions of $1,000 each in a six-minute window and Regions takes no action. I find that to be unacceptable!
Bank tried to hold funds
I am a long time customer since for over 20 years with multiple deposits in several accounts. I attempted to deposit funds and immediately informed they will need to hold for 10 days.
I went thru drive thru first. Informed to see Manager. This is the Collierville TN location. Manager informed me they would need to hold funds for 10 days before checking our multiple accounts to verify deposit was less then our total account deposits.
Manager asked me to verify check was good by showing him my app on my phone. My checks for deposit were written from a bank two streets down from Regions Bank.
Asked me to verify my own funds were available. I did not show app. This is not a Banks protocol # 1. Number 2, I asked Manager how they verify checks .
Manager than checked our account to verify we have monies in account exceeding deposit. I would call this profiling.
Poor customer service, I informed Manager they did not need to hold funds for 10 days and accurate after extended waits funds deposited and not head. We know our rights and banking protocols. We bank at several local banks.
Regions do your job. Hate to see another customer experience this unprofessionalism and stupidity while holding our funds.
Thank God we do not trust Regions to hold all our monies.
We are physician and RN. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Get it right next time.
Definitely untrustworthy
Definitely untrustworthy. Be careful doing any business with this bank. They want to see you fail and fall behind on payments. They are scam artists. Don’t give them a penny more
I arrived out of town on new years they…
I arrived out of town on new years they put a block on my card. They said only way it could be removed is if I go to a branch. Mind you there’s no branch no where near the closest branch is 14hr away. So they say the only other option is a 911 Visa card. I had to wait two days for that. Then once I got that card it was locked and they told me my only option was to do the process over. I’m currently stranded in New Jersey without any access to my funds. This is the worst bank ever know to mankind! I haven’t ate in two days and I don’t know where I’m sleeping tonight. Thanks to regions! I will be in touch with a lawyer
Pathetic
Pathetic. Went in to get a couple rolls of quarters and this black lady with long blonde braids said they didn’t have any rolls. I said how can you not have rolls! Then she said how many and I said one or two whatever you have. She walked over up the counter, put her hand in the tray without a word, I gave her a $100 bill and she said you want change? I said what do you mean? You said you only had 1 roll of quarters of course I want change. She looked at the bill and me and said I need your ID! I said I don’t have it I walked down the street. She would not give me quarters! Will NEVER bank with them and will tell everyone I know to not bank with regions!!
Melissa andrade is a super bad customer…
Melissa andrade is a super bad customer service representative she made me come twice to the bank to change a check also told me that if I didint like the waiting time to apply for a job there and ileana tobar also has extreme attitude said she couldn’t get up to bother no one else and didint wanna work
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, no knowledge of anything. They Canceled my card for fraud, and I still don't have a new card 3 weeks later. I called twice, the 3rd call they said I need to go to a branch. American Express I would have a card via FedEx next day.
WORST Bank Ever!
If I could give a negative rating for this bank, I would. They are the worst bank ever! I tried closing my father's account after his death, and Brittany Watkins-Barrera, the Senior Relationship Banker Team Lead at the Lebanon, TN branch, left me feeling as if I were a criminal even though I had all the paperwork that I was told I would need. She was very rude and spoke to me as if I were a second-rate citizen. This is not good, Regions Bank, making someone dealing with the death of a loved one feel so low and unworthy of being treated with dignity and respect. I left there in tears. Do not bank with them!
Crazy debit card rules
Do you know when a company has your debit card number they can use it again even if it's been canceled. They told me it is seen as a recurrent payment even if it was used for a legit debit once. Should be if a card is canceled it cannot be used again. Even overrides that Lockit system. And it is ridiculous it takes over two weeks to get a new card. Poor customer service. I live in a city with "instant issue'. But that's just an added hassle. Been with them at least 25 years. Thinking about leaving.
