I strongly advise anyone considering…

I strongly advise anyone considering Regus to look elsewhere. My experience has been a nightmare of deceptive practices and circular conversations.

I signed a one-year agreement and made it clear I did not want it to auto-renew. As my contract end date approached, I proactively tried to cancel multiple times. However, Regus’s cancellation process is a maze. I was told to use an online portal that was conveniently non-functional, and my direct calls and emails were met with false promises.

On several occasions, both center management and billing representatives assured me my account was set to cancel and that everything was taken care of. This was untrue. Now, the company is attempting to enforce an auto-renewal that I never authorized and actively fought to prevent.

This isn’t just poor customer service; it’s a deceptive business model. They trap you with auto-renewals and then make it impossible to leave. Save yourself the headache and financial stress.

Hello Robert,
Thank you for getting in touch.
At Regus we take renewals very seriously and take great care in communicating how the process works. It’s our goal to make this an efficient and simple process for our customers.
Prior to any renewal, customers receive courtesy reminder emails. According to our records, you received yours on 9 April which provided several options on price, term and the possibility to end the agreement, if required.
You also received a written confirmation once your agreement was renewed, on date. Then, if any aspect of the agreement wasn’t to your satisfaction, we were able to offer additional options should we hear from you within a few business days following the renewal.
Our communications were sent to the email address we have on file. We invite you to check your online account (i.e., myregus.com) and ensure your information is up to date.
Please understand that we need to receive advanced warning should you wish to end an agreement with us, and it cannot be before the end of your agreement term.
My team are in contact with you now and will clarify in further detail. Thank you for your understanding.
Best,
Lorraine Brule

HORRIBLE COMPANY

Regus is a HORRIBLE company to rent office space from. Their prices seem reasonable at first but then they jack up the price with hidden (and i truly mean hidden/burried) fees. The internet connection is not great and they won't be able to fix it! I have had infestations of insects in the building and office, as well as extended closures. Please do yourself and your business a favor and lease from someone else - literally anybody else! The front desk staff is great, but they have no authority, power, and are completely unable to remedy situations.

UPDATE: Regus responded and did reach out, but instead of expressing legitimate concerns regarding my complaints and working to fix them, they decided to tell me that because I was so great at paying my rent on time for the duration of my lease they would honor their original contacted move out fee, instead of the inflated amount they sprung on me. Of course this was if and ONLY IF I was willing to retract my review of them. I feel as though I was being bribed to remove my honest review. So apparently it's not about fixing where they went wrong (since they didnt even bother to ask about the experiences i had), rather it's about bribing people after overcharging them and telling them that they can get back to the original, contracted amount, as long as they remove the review. Seriously small business owners... strongly think about if this is the kind of company you wish to do business with.

Hi Renee,
I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction.
We do not have “hidden/buried fees“ all of our services and costs are detailed in the agreement you signed. Any that you do not require can be opted out through your online account.
Your complaint about regarding extended closures is during the Covid period, although almost all our centres were kept open, there were restrictions for a short duration in some. This was during an unprecedentedly difficult time and we can confirm that this centre has had full access since normality has returned .
There were a few bugs that entered the centre in the summer of 2023, but this was quickly dealt with and your wording of “infestations” is greatly exaggerated.
We can confirm that you did have a slow internet connection but the local staff investigated and raised multiple IT cases and it was found that this was due to your own personal devices; the center's speed tests were confirmed to be excellent.
A member of my team has been in touch and is happy to respond to any further questions you may have.
Kind regards,
