RentingCarz, okay until it isn’t
RentingCarz is probably okay if your rental goes without any problems, but if there is a problem, they’re eager to take more of your money. And, if there’s a serious problem, don’t expect any money back. I had a cancelled flight to JFK. The airline rebooked me on a flight to EWR. It wasn’t my fault, but RentingCarz charged me $300 to make the change. Then, after additional flight delays, I was going to be late to pick up my car. I contacted and was assured assured by RentingCarz and Budget (the provider) that my reservation would be valid if they had available cars. Well, I was told at the counter that they had plenty of cars, but they cancelled my reservation. At first, RentingCarz wanted me to just accept this loss. After pressing them, they want to give me a credit. I’m sure Budget refunded my reservation to RentingCarz because my credit is good for any provider. But a credit isn’t useful for me, especially since it is only valid for one year! I won’t use them again. Their customer service is only via chat. They are only interested in squeezing every last dollar from customers, regardless of the problems they face. Go with Trip.com or some other discounter. I should have know better than to trust a company that spells “cars” as “carz”! Edited to add that my original reservation was not entirely non-refundable and that flexibility with customers who have faced financial loss due to cancellations will make repeat customers.

Terrible experience – Avoid Rentingcarz.com at all costs
I had a truly frustrating experience with Rentingcarz.com and I strongly advise against using their service.
A reservation was made by mistake through their platform (a minor was browsing on my computer). I realized it immediately and canceled the booking within minutes. I contacted them right away, explained the situation, and yet they refused to refund the money, even though their own site showed “free cancellation” and the voucher they sent me contained no clear cancellation policy — just a link that led to an incomplete page.
This behavior is dishonest and shows a complete lack of customer care. The booking was canceled almost instantly and no service was ever used, yet they kept the full amount.
Customer service was also slow, unhelpful, and showed no willingness to resolve the issue.
If you value your money and peace of mind, avoid Rentingcarz.com. They are not trustworthy and do not stand behind their policies.
