This is the way to go. There no reasons to use an agent to do this for you. We easily found our tenant at a fraction of the cost with rentstreet.

Surely this will be mainstream before long. Everyone is already using Airbnb without agents getting involved for short stay places and surely people will also start doing longer term rentals without agents in the future. I would recommend Rent Street as a good website to use if you want to do it without an agent.

The pricing on Rent Street was good although I thought the upgrade prices for realestate com au were pricey. They say these costs are imposed by realestate com au which may be true. Anyway this way of advertising was a lot cheaper than last time an agent listed it for us.

Good way to advertise. It’s as simple as just making the ad and then responding to tenants. It only took us a week of advertising and one single viewing day to get a suitable tenant.

I have used agents for the better part of twenty years for renting out my investment properties. Advertising independently I have come to the conclusion that it’s just not worth it anymore and can easily do this myself. For me this means a reasonable saving on the costs associated with using agents. It may not be for everyone but if you want to do it yourself then rentstreet.com.au is a great platform to use.

If you want to didn’t a tenant for your place this is a good way to go. You get to make your ad just as you want it and it gets a lot of views on the websites they put it on.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Rent Street to anyone who owns an investment property and is looking for a tenant. We were able to run opens at our own leisure and were able to meet with the tenants to talk about the property to them and terms of the lease. If I had any suggestions t would be that the 1form applications should also be automatically forwarded as is the case with website inquiries. All in all a good experience and I will definitely be using hem again when the current tenants eventually move out.
