Terrible Service

I contacted Rentuu to hire a wheelchair for my daughter who is being discharged from hospital, paralysed from the waist down. I explained the situation and that I needed the chair today. Rentuu told me that was OK and they would send me a quote by email. 1 hour later I had not received the quote so I called, there was no pick-up so I left a message with my number. 30 mins later I called again, no response or return call. I then contacted London Wheelchair rental who delivered a wheelchair 3 hours ago, still no response from Rentuu. They were fully aware of my daughter's circumstances, if they couldn't deliver what they said the least they could do was call and say so. I note the comments below about delivery to a conference etc..., I'm pleased you were lucky but would not want to jeopardise my career on a company with such a lack of professionalism, service, care, responsibility and even decency.

All there is to do is to apologise. What happened here was a severe miscommunication on our side, and as a result you and your daughter suffered.

The way in which Rentuu operates is: we collate the inventories of many hire companies from all over the country. In this particular instance, you contacted us and we began handling your order. The first connection with a supplier of ours was actually another you had contacted. Knowing them well, we left the order to them and considered your situation sorted.

The fault here wasn’t communicating this with yourself. It appeared we went quiet, when in reality it was simple we knew your situation had been taken care of. This was a mistake and we are very aware of that. Your circumstance and feedback will undoubtedly impact the way we operate in the future, meaning no one will have to deal with the poor customer service you received. We thank you for that and hope you can take some solace in that fact.

Excellent service

After being let down by another company for an event we had coming up, I called Rentuu and they pulled it out of the bag to get everything sorted in a short space of time. Great customer service and a team that went above and beyond to help out! Will be going back to them in future, would definitely recommend.
