Consider ONLY as a last resort.

I appreciate how busy this line of work can be but they have clearly taken on more than they can handle.

Other reviewers have had a similar experiences as myself with this company's poor communication or miscommunication and despite claiming they are working on this, it still remains to be a very big problem.
Now dont get me wrong, they are quick to reply when queried but unless you do so you will remain in the dark.

When I received my repaired unit I noticed some damage to the tablet case, chipped and chewed etc but it's purely cosmetic. I was also missing 2 screws inside the device. The screen replacement seems to suffer some light bleeding at certain angles unlike the original which would suggest possible cheaply sourced parts.

In all, I would only, and I mean ONLY consider this company if there were no other better options available or as a very last resort.

Extremely Helpful

We have tills at our bar that continuously break as they were inherited by the previous owners and are of a poor standard. We call the till engineer for Repairsuk late in the evening and we never fail to get a response and support from them. Very friendly and professional and arrive within 30 mins to repair our already damaged equipment.

Would never use this firm again and would'nt even recommend it to my worst enemy!

Sent a Nexus 4 last December9, in the hope the grey screen would be fixed within the few days they claimed. As nothing happened I contacted them in mid January, and was told that there was a Christmas break backlog and as this seemed plausible, I let matters lie.
I contacted them again in February and was told they tried 3 replacements, but it hadn't resolved the problem, we have something else to try.
Contacted them again at the end of February asking for the phone to be returned and the repair fee refunded. The phone was returned unusable with a smashed screen. It wouldn't boot up or even charge and the case screws missing and I have now waited over six months for the promised refund.

Did exactly what they said they would.

3 weeks ago I posted off my daughter's smashed iPad mini to Repairs UK, following their very useful guidelines for posting on their website. They sent me an update to say that it had been received the next day, however I didn't hear anything more until this week when an update was sent to say the iPad was fixed. I received it the next day, screen totally fixed and in perfect working order. I got slightly twitchy after a week had gone by and I hadn't heard anything. Perhaps an estimate could be given as to how long it might take to fix at the beginning and that would have put my mind at rest. Apart from that, I can't fault the company and service it delivers.

Excellent service

Took my iPad mini in as had broken screen, repaired perfectly within 24hrs, for less than half the price Apple quoted me. Good as new. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Very very poor communication

Sent my GoPro 3 into this company for a USB repair. 2 months went by without even an acknowledgement of it arriving. Took numerous emails and phone calls to get an update. 3 months later I'm told that the parts we hard to get and they were sourcing them from elsewhere. Finally after another month I asked for another update at which point I'm told that its unrepairable. I find it very strange that updates have to be chased for, and only when I questioned the status of the repair am I told it is not possible. A refund invoice has been sent, yet to check if the funds have arrived.

Would not recommend this company and certainly will not be using again

Excellent, prompt service

I broke the screen on my Nexus tablet and the local shops told me they couldn't - or wouldn't - repair it!
After a short search on line, I found Touch Electronics / Repaire UK who said they could do it; they quoted a fair price and gave clear instructions for posting etc. After about 10 days, it was returned, beautifully wrapped and as good as new.
Warmly recommended!

Excellent customer service and VERY fast repair

I dropped my iPhone 5c and smashed the screen. After a quick search online I found repairsuk.co.uk and filled in their online form. I also telephoned the shop as I concerned I wouldn’t get my phone back in time before leaving for my holiday that was less than a week away. They were very helpful on the telephone and confirmed that it would be a quick turnaround. I then posted my phone via Royal Special Delivery on a Thursday afternoon and received my phone back on the Saturday morning. Fabulous service. I highly recommend repairsuk and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you very much.

Great help!

I sent my nexus 7 into repairs uk after it stopped charging and would no longer work. I spoke to a friendly lady on the phone, who advised me on the best way to proceed. I sent my nexus to them, they called me 2 days later, when the repair was completed, and as I hadn't booked it on their website, I happily paid over the telephone, and received it back the next day with the receipt of payment. Very happy with the service and they worked wonders on my nexus, and I am happy to leave this review. Thanks Repairs Uk!

Quick GoPro repair turned into a 3 month waste of time

I used repairs UK to get my Hero original repaired after some accidental water damage shorted out the battery. RepairsUK apparently offer a next day service, which for me was perfect. I bought the service got down to the post office and spent a further £4 packaging and £7 next day delivery. The item was delivered and signed for no problem. after a week of not hearing anything from them i tried to contact the company, no response. I left it for a day or two and then tried again, no response. I then started emailing them everyday, eventually i got an email back saying they'll look into the progress of my go pro and get back to me the next day, guess what, no response. I then tried and tried again to get more information and after a month they admitted they could not get the parts to fix the camera, i was gutted and after them having it for so long accepeted that i might have to wait a little while longer but due to the communications being so bad i ended up asking for a refund and my camera to be returned. still broken. a week later i had my gopro back home but no refund. I'm still waiting for one 3 months after i got in touch with them and the communication is as bad as ever.

Do yourself a favour. don't use this company, i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and it was wasted.

We offer a water damage inspection service, as sometimes all the board needs after water contact, is cleaned, and any corrosion removed. This also lets us be able to tell customers, whether or not the device is repairable in the first place.
We are one of the only companies that offer any kind of service for Go Pros in the Uk, which is why we get so many devices like this sent to us, and let people know that these are not turned around within a day.
At the moments there aren't spare parts available from the UK, and they are imported from America. This can take around 6 weeks, and as we have found some orders for the parts don't arrive on time or at all. We are sorry you felt that we didn't make enough contact with you, and we will aim to improve this for the future.

Your refund is being processed. Sorry for the delay.

Google did not work on our 3 computers but did on our 2 tablets and phones.

I spent 2 hours today talking to my internet provider and having tried several suggested setting changes they said that they would send me a new filter and wifi hub! After I came of the phone I decided to try my 3 computers using our phones as a wifi hub. I got the same result so i decided to ring Ken Hanchard of the company. Having discussed the problem with him, he told me to try switching of my anti virus off and try google again which I did. Guess what it worked! So tried the other 2 computers and they worked as well. I then put the anti virus on all 3 and tried google again and yes it worked. I was so impressed, a 3 minute phone call to Ken did the trick. I was so impressed with his instant diagnosis. Now that's the kind of tech support we need. Thanks again Ken, you are without doubt "THE MAN!"

Google Nexus 5 repair - great service

Researched this company and read all the reviews, decided that some were the proverbial Victor Meldrew's comments but were consistently better than any others I considered.

My husband has dismantled and repaired these phones several times but the digitizer as well as the screen were damaged so it was beyond what he could do. They don't claim to fit genuine parts (if they did the price would be so much higher, just do some research and see for yourself, I found a genuine screen and digitizer for £110 which would then need to be fitted), all their repairs come with a 3 month warranty, I paid £80 for this service. This is a shop and so my husband hand delivered the phone and it was ready later the same day, we collected a couple of days later. I have only dealt with them by email and phone but my husband is so impressed that he has left them his iPad to replace the screen which was delaminating due to a previous (poor) repair failing by another repair company.

These people are helpful, professional and passionate about what they do and if I need further repairs (will learn to be less clumsy!) it will go straight back to them without hesitation.

Total Lack of Customer Care.

I sent my Nexus 7 2013 to Repairs uk for a battery replacement. About a week later, I was informed by phone that the fault lay with the charging unit in the device. I informed them that I had decided to abandon the repair, as I believe that it was not cost effective. I agreed to pay for the item to be posted back to me.

By telephone Repairs uk suggested that I should pay for a diagnostic check of the device that they had carried out, but it was later accepted that this was not the case as I had not requested one. At one point I was informed that the extra work had been carried out without my authority.

I have sent numerous emails/ messages to Repairs uk requesting a refund of £19.99 and I have only had one reply stating it will take time.

My main issue with Repairs uk is that they generally don't reply to emails / messages and that it has taken them far too long for them to refund my money. I am now pessimistic that I will receive the refund at all. It would appear that I have spent £32.80 (including postage) without any benefit.

I don't like leaving negative comments about a company and I encourage Repairs uk to provide a response to this review. My order number with them is 6359.

The diagnostic, was needed to be carried out on your device, as the battery wasn't the problem, and, even with a battery replacement, these take time, and technicians time. Unfortunately there must have been a mix up in communication, as the inspection charge is always payable, for the time spent in diagnosing the problem, and changing parts. (such as the battery)
Im sure if we would have changed the battery, and just sent it back to you, as you requested, this would have resulted in worse complaints from you than this.

As you have said, a full refund has been given, which Isn't something usually offered like this, as no company works for free, and technicians time is money,

Don't expect any customer service

I am absolutely appalled at their customer service. I sent my tablet to them for a cracked screen repair back in January it returned about 3 weeks later with what seemed a new screen. After a few weeks the quality of the touchscreen was flawed and the screen then cracked randomly. I contacted a member of complaints team (name) who informed me there was a batch of faulty screens in January and to send this back to them - he could not have seem less bothered. I sent this back within 2 days, I heard nothing in the meantime and had to continuously chase for an update, (name) then informed that they will send the tablet back and it had now been fixed. It had been sent to RepairsUK at the end of March and I received my tablet back on April 16th, it took about 6 weeks to repair a screen. The fact this was a repair of a screen that was faulty due to an error on their part I shouldn’t have had to chase nor should I have had to wait 6 weeks, I think this in itself is pretty terrible customer service. To top it all off, when I received my nexus on April 16th there’s a chip in the casing in the corner. This had not been communicated to me or been acknowledged in any way.

Don't use them, its more hassle then its worth.

Nexus 5 screen replaced - all good so far

I rang a couple of days prior to calling in to the Witney based shop. They were expecting my Nexus 5 for screen replacement when I arrived and promptly replaced the screen. I called back into store an hour later and it was all sorted.

There seems alot of negative feedback for this company - whether this is a fair reflection on the company it's not for me to say. Many people only post reviews when something bad happens and not necessarily when something goes well, which is why I'm posting a positive response because for me they were good on price and service.

Just terrible. Avoid.

Sent my Nexus 5 for screen/digitiser repair. Terrible quality replacement part. The volume buttons jam and the lock button doesn't work at all. I've tried contacting them repeatedly, but they never get back to me. Avoid.

EDIT - They're now claiming they spoke to me on the phone. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. They're not only poor with customer service, they are also lying to cover their tracks.

EDIT - 22/4/14 - Finally spoke to (name), who is the owner of the business about a week ago. He agreed that if I sent the phone back they would try and source a genuine replacement digitiser unit or return the phone with a broken screen and refund me. Sent the phone off, heard nothing. Followed up this morning with an email to ask what was happening. Was told they weren't prepared to seek a genuine replacement because I had updated my review and they didn't want to deal with me. I now await the safe return of my phone. All in all, still a terrible level of service, but at least I've been told I'll get a refund.

Sony Z2 new screen failed after 2 months

Update 21/03/15 - Have taken RepairsUK up on their offer to provide a new replacement screen and shall dispatch to them soon. Shall update review following return of phone and subsequent performance.


It took RepairsUK two weeks to return my phone, after many calls and promises of earlier delivery. When I finally received it back I was delighted - the new touch screen worked.

Almost exactly two months later and now the screen is failing, going from slightly annoying to unusable in two days.

In their defence, Sony's official repair site has dreadful reviews - maybe I've purchased an un-repairable phone. Regardless don't claim you can fix what you clearly can't. Poor effort.

Hi Jonathan. If you would have contacted us, or read on the website first, we do actually have a 3 month warranty on all replaced parts. So in this case your screen. If it was working properly when it left and has been for the past two months, it is very unlikely that it would be a fault caused by us. It may well be a fault with the part, which is why we offer warranty on them.

We are happy to help with any problems our customers have had and will stick by the terms of our warranty. But don't understand why you felt the need to write about it on here, before contacting us for a solution, of which we would have happily resolved.

Super speedy and great repair

I sent my Nexus 7 2013 for a charging port repair on Monday and it arrived at Repair UK the next day. I was so impressed, as they'd finished the repair that day, and also had sent it back to me! My Nexus arrived back to me on the Wednesday fully repaired, well packaged and also cleaned too.

Seriously impressed by their efficiency as they must have turned it around within a few hours! Would definitely use again.

Fantastic service after doubt due to previous reviews

I sent my Samsung Note 10.2 2014 off to Repairs UK for a smashed screen, I was wary of doing so at first due to the reviews I had read here. But after weeks of googling no other place offered this repair, and repairing myself was not an option due to the specialist skills needed to fix it. As a last ditch effort I opted to use Repairs UK, and im glad I did. I phoned them every wednesday to get a great customer service update on the stage of my repair and when parts would be arriving, they stuck to their word and what was told to me was accurate. I received my tablet back today and they have done an impeccable job of repairing such a difficult device. I would without a doubt place my trust in this company for all future repairs.
