Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many consumers find the technology offered to be very useful, highlighting its ability to simplify complex development tasks and accelerate the creation of applications. People appreciate the ease of getting started and the platform's effectiveness for prototyping and learning. Many users also find the AI features helpful for overcoming coding challenges and streamlining their workflow. However, some people were dissatisfied with the user experience and the app itself. Some customers reported issues with apps disappearing, difficulties with publishing, and problems with exporting projects. A few other people also felt that the AI, while generally helpful, could sometimes create errors that were costly to fix, or that the platform struggled with building aesthetically pleasing user interfaces.

It's established, but the cost of building the app and maintaining it on Replit has risen. There is also not a convenient way to talk to someone for support questions as it is all managed by AI.

12dollarsperclick.net

We were working on an advertising website called 12dollarsperclick.net and replit decided to ban the website for being a scam. We are over 20k members on that site who all lost our advertising platform, This is a legitimate opportunity that that paid it's members commissions every time without fail.
And we have a respectful owner Ron Kelly who worked so hard and did everything to keep this opportunity going for us the members.
Replit refuses to answer the appeal that was sent immediately after they banned the website. We want Replit to release the database and website code to Ron Kelly who is the owner of the website and the owner of our data. Replit has no right to keep OUR data!!!

This thing is so sad

This thing is so sad, the tool has great technical vision / potential but they could not care less about customers / support / quality
It is purely a Venture Capital click bait. I have months working with 3 projects and when I had an issue the ticket was never looked at by the tech team, it is still open there.
I started my mobile app and ran into issues with their back end, and again, ticket not replied.. I am stuck , cant deploy. In any other platform that would be priority one.. not here.
Can you do commercial apps like this? with real customers? = NEVER. Be careful -

Customer service is non existent

Customer service is non existent. You can build your website to your specs and it will self delete/amend whenever it feels like it. Hard to trust it to run your business. Eats up a lot of money in its own errors.

I swear they're scammers

I swear they're scammers. They drained my money and didn't even build me a semblance of an app. All they gave me was a blank screen that doesn't even work on Expo Go, and it constantly displays an error message. Every time I ask them to find the error and fix it, they just use up more credits. So you're paying money to fix a problem they themselves created. After numerous attempts, the screen is still blank, my balance is gone, and they haven't even provided me with a semblance of an app. I'm fully prepared to provide screenshots to prove my experience if asked. I absolutely do not recommend you spend your money on this fraudulent app.

WARNING

WARNING!

Replit App is NOT good. It will create many errors and bill you for errors. Even when it does not respond, it bills you. I had a very difficult time trying to complete an app and it cost me over $2,000. I wouldn't mind if Replit AI Coder worked well but it doesn't. plus, it has been crashing my site many times.

I switched to Lovable AI which is a non-American company and Im loving it. It is so much better than Replit. Cheaper and the Lovable AI coder is amazing. It corrects error fast and very well.

The service and AI is great they have…

'
The service and AI is great they have supebase integration but they force their horribly overpriced replit databases and it causes non stop bugs all through development the AI you have to specifically try to get them to use the right database. NON STOP headaches while charging you. They don't miss a beat on charging. So I love the tech but absolutely hate, loathe, their waste of my money and time. I would recommend a colonoscopy by Mike Myers before I recommend them. If I didn't have to fight the errors and bugs because the default Replit DB it would be perfect. I can't say how much I hate not having to deal with their DB currently so many bugs and now a bug. STOP! I know you want to make money but I will support any competitor you have because of this as soon as one becomes good enough. I can;t give negative stars. You would be 5 stars if I didn't have to deal with your Replit defaults. It makes me hate your company. I don;t do bad about companies but you force me. STOP with your replit defaults and charging me to fix because it uses the wrong even after I set what it is. I am not a bad person but you bring out a monster. 90% of my bugs would have no existed if it weren't for replit defaults.

AI agent has a 3rd grade level programming

The AI agent has a 3rd grade level programming approach that constantly lies about it failures and somehow has a dependency crutch for a devious architect that validates it's failures as truths. When you realize all the code it created didn't follow the standard practices and your app looks as if it's working but has a mountain of security flaws and incomplete logic, you'll find this post and understand the scam.

I am literally losing my mind

I am literally losing my mind. You modify one part of the project and the app changes another, unrelated part, without your knowledge and in a completely arbitrary way. Rollbacks often don’t work. If you try to export the project to move it to another platform because you’re fed up with them, you can’t—because the export doesn’t work. Or rather, it doesn’t work 100%, so you’ll only manage to export 30–40% of your project and you’ll have to rebuild everything else from scratch on the other site. At the end of the day you are trapped here. Don’t start using it

Replit is seductive but limited to formulaic thinking and it is expensive with poor quality customer 'support'. I am still waiting to learn about why Replit withdrew funds from my account after I closed the account. Anyone using Replit must be very careful about the payment/billing settings.

For anyone thinking of using Replit

For anyone thinking of using Replit, I strongly recommend spending the money on yourself or treat yourself to a 5 stars all inclusive holidays for a month in the most expensive Maldives resort for 2 rather than throwing your money in Replit bin and wasting a week of your precious life. Worst "vibe" platform software engineering has ever seen. Mark my word, they will drawn in lawsuits sooner or later.

It's fun to try and build something but…

It's fun to try and build something but I wouldn't recommend it for other things than simple websites. It keeps going in circles, makes changes that I haven't asked for and that I have to pay for. Imagine that you've spent a whole evening perfecting some functionality or feature and then all of a sudden it just changes it and you have to start almost all over. It's becoming a nightmare and I get so frustrated. All the while it just charges for everything even though the mistake is on the AI.

Agents lied and cost me a lot be weary of what you build

You dont need there playform to code you can do on colab or use copilot to build codes any free ai zervice can write code its very simple ,l the customer support is ok , the problem is I asked for specific things to be done in the app by there agents, the ai agents lied and mislead me with false data I asked for historical data to be used and to back test the system it showed a high success rate 94 percent but after live data was actually plugged into it it was 51 percent win rate told the agents several times to use live data and historical data instead it plugged fake numbers and this lead to huge financial loss, becuase of this, , you are billed for datausage with the agents anytime you ask or anything there charging you and it just pulls rt out of your account so yeah there agents fed me a line of b.s and i had to pay for it

Great tool, but abysmal support and zero accountability for costly bugs

I’ve spent over thousands and eight months building an application on Replit, and while the product itself has potential, the customer experience has been a complete nightmare.

For over two months, I have been reporting a high-severity bug where the Replit Agent’s execute_sql_tool ignores my configured external database (Supabase) and connects to an internal Replit database instead. This isn’t just a technical glitch; it’s a financial drain. I’ve wasted thousands of dollars in tokens because the Agent spends hours auditing the wrong database, returning empty results, and going in circles.

Despite providing detailed bug reports, timestamps, and even a remixed project link for engineering to investigate, the response has been “crickets.” Support repeatedly ignored my requests for escalation to management, let tickets auto-close without resolution, and then had the audacity to ask for “fresh examples” because they let their own logs expire during their weeks of inactivity.

It is incredibly frustrating to see a company prioritize “product factory” updates while their existing users are losing money due to unaddressed bugs. If you are building anything serious or using external databases, be warned: if you hit a wall, you are on your own. I’ve lost faith in the team and will be moving my development elsewhere.
