I live in Cheshire and my flat is in London, therefore I needed a London based Architect to help me to get planning permission for changes to the outside of my flat. I contacted Nick Stockley who helped me to get the planning permission I needed. He was wonderful in keeping me up to date on everything that he was doing and messaging me on all his conversations with the local authorities. I would definitely use Resi Architects and Nick Stockley again in the future if needed.

Nicholas has been fantastic throughout a very lengthy process! His perseverance, professionalism, and attention to detail have been outstanding, and he guided us every step of the way. After 14 months to approval, we couldn’t be happier with the support and expertise he provided.

Resi has been great as literally explaining everything along the way. Clear instructions and what needs to be done.

I applied for planning permission months ago, and the entire process has been nothing but a headache. Poor communication, constant delays, and zero updates unless I chased them. It felt like no one was actually handling my case properly. Would not recommend at all.

Speaking with Andrew from Resi has been hands down the most helpful step of our project to date. Completely refreshing to get clear, thoughtful answers in a complicated world of advice – 5 mins of discussion with Resi has often been more helpful than an hour of speaking to prospective builders or other architects. As well as their valued and transparent expertise, I’ve really appreciated Resi’s proactivity and efficiency at communicating with us.

They seem professional. Just waiting for their call.

Our experience with Resi has been excellent. Great support and advice at each stage of the project. It has been brilliant to have everything in one place.
Most of all Resi has been responsive.

We ended up using a local architect due to local and personal recommendation. However, discussing quotes, getting beginners advice and looking at project timelines with Resi couldn’t have been simpler. Heather our account manager was attentive and professional at all times. She worked hard to put us at ease without expectation of anything in return. On this occasion we did not use Resi but rest assured that they will be forefront in our minds for future projects or if (hopefully not) anything goes wrong with our chosen architect.

It is now a few months since we moved back into our renovated house and my review reflects the experience through all stages of the project from first contact with RESI up to the most recent communication.
Given our circumstances – we lived abroad while running the house renovation project – the online service that RESI offered was the most suitable for us.
Design: we had a few iterations and a few changes to the initial proposal before we agreed on the final version. Having said that, we can now appreciate two main features suggested by Alberto – addition of the utility room at the front of the house (where the kitchen was located in the old layout) created a ‘buffer zone’ between the front communal loan and the main living space on the ground floor and introduction of strip windows in the new kitchen space proved to be a very good idea as they not only serve as an extra source of light but provide an excellent ventilation which is absolutely invaluable at the time of heat waves.
The application support team did their job really well as our application was approved even ahead of the expected date.
Technical team: Freddie was very professional in both hard and soft skills; he was always coming back with understandable and detailed answers and furnished all documents on time.
Account manager: I rather happy with communication with Amy; while we had a few disputable points on different stages of the project, she did what she promised to do and the problems were resolved to my satisfaction.
Connect service: that is where I have mixed feelings because we were introduced to three building companies and ended up choosing the one that did the build. As it was our first experience of a project of such scale, we needed somebody who we could trust given we lived abroad and travelled to London on regular basis. I feel that we were gently pushed towards this company by Hafsa, then representative of this service.
The experience with the builders was bad and difficult, I left a separate review about them.
But because we were very determined and I was very persisting, we kept going although the project sucked a lot of energy and emotions, absolutely unnecessary.
However, from the moment when Andrew Sutherland became our contact in the Connect service, things changed dramatically – he is not only professional in construction, but he showed a truly responsible attitude to the clients and provided a real assistance with finishing the project and resolving post-completion issues. I am truly grateful for his and Victoria support over last few months.
I am also glad that the building company we used, is no more part of the pool of traders RESI offer to their clients.
All in all, it was very educational, not the easiest experience but it worked well at the end.

The customer service is strong and you sense that they go above and beyond when helping each customer. They gave me a good quote for a loft extension and laid out the details of this clearly using their user-friendly and intuitive website. Their company branding is slick and modern, with a broad industry knowledge to help you formulate your dream home.
(My review of the company refers specifically to quotation and customer service I received; I didn’t proceed with the quote because I was later given a personal recommendation for another company by a friend.
To gauge the quality of their designs feel free to read other reviews or visit their website for testimonials).
So helpful to be guided into and through a project by people who have done it many times before and know exactly what is needed at each step of the way. Also extremely helpful to have an introductions service to help us identify contractors for different aspects of the project. We haven't started any building work yet (still waiting for planning) but we feel in very safe hands with our Resi team.
I’ve been using Resi’s architectural services including submitting planning application, finding contractors and all the other services you need for a big renovation project.
Everyone I’ve engaged with at Resi has been fantastic. Really knowledgable in their areas and very helpful and supportive, taking you through the process.
This service is great if you’ve not done a project like this before. They have a bank of fully vetted contractors and other services people. They done so many projects that they can guide you in what needs to happen with yours and you have someone you can ask questions. Takes the stress out of things. I found it really useful.
Would recommend.
Misleading Pricing, not Honouring Quotes and Acting in Bad Faith without Explaining
Resi quoted roughly 5,300 for design, planning support and building regs for my ground floor extension and loft. This was split into 3,200 for the design and planning support and 2,100 for building regs. I paid first part of quote and Resi delivered the design successfully. It is now time to pay for the building regs however Resi has effectively doubled the cost (I only want building regs for ground floor and do not need the loft yet and they quoted 1,900). Resi has said the design is more complex than they initially quoted for without going into any detail of how it is more complex.
The initial pricing was misleading and done in bad faith to entice me into an agreement that has made me reliant on their services. Resi clearly had no intention of honoring the initial quote and have wasted a lot of my time and energy.
Their sales/client guy is just like an estate agent, exactly the sort of people I'm trying to avoid having bought a house.
Caveat that Ulker the architect we worked with was pretty good and delivered in a fairly timely manner.

A professional and well-organized team. They’ve implemented a simple, user-friendly platform that makes it easy to track progress and communicate effectively. I’ve recommended them to all my friends and network.
The team at RESI have been very helpful in orchestrating the planning/ design process to date. Paulo our architectural designer has been able to guide us through the steps as we evolve into the process. It's hard to know what to expect and knowing that there is a resource to go to such as RESI helps to facilitate the info required.
I've appreciated all the work that Resi, particularly Paulo, has done on our potential plans. Paulo has been very patient and has ensured he captured our desires. Thank you!
Nick was very knowledgeable and confidently found solutions where other companies created obstacles. He ensured that our project was prepared for both Building Control and Planning Permission. Without his calm confidence and professionalism I would have given up.
Ran the whole process of obtaining planning permission without a hitch. Wouldn't have known where to begin myself.
Anesa was brilliant. She coached us through the whole journey and was open with any risks with our project. Made it so simple. So far 10/10 for Anesa and Resi. Would highly recommend

Resi are a wonderful company to liaise with, they take all the pressure of going through all the different stages via the local council. Keep you updated, dashboard where you can put your ideas and Resi will work along side you to get the job done best they can. Building costs to drainage .. it is a one stop platform to your extension authorised and complete. Highly recommend, worth the time investing in your project.
