Working with Shelly was great as we navigated PTO during the Holiday season. She was knowledgeable about the industry and her suggestions made sense.

Too expensive for the quality of work: I paid 627 USD for an average work, plus the process was exhausting.

After multiple emails with the ResumeZest team to try to resolve a concern that their work was flagged as "100% likely to be AI generated", I thought it was best to finish the project how it was and not spend more time on discussions that didn't resolve my concerns.

I was assigned to Lori Evans as my resume write. I was a teacher trying to transition into sales/medical sales and Lori was so helpful. Resume writing can be daunting and difficult when trying to write your transferrable skills. She was so kind and helpful. She always messaged back quickly and asked a lot of questions so she had as much info to write me the best resume possible. I could not have written anything NEARLY as good as what she wrote for me. The cost is worth it and the experience is easy and quick. Thank you a million times Lori!!

Phone consultation game changer!
I really enjoyed working with Emily and having a phone consultation to describe my previous experiences. She was able to highlight my skills, fill the page with Great details, and managed to not overwhelm the eye. Communication was easy after the phone consultation to make any revisions. Afterwards it solidified the fact that I am ready for the next step in my career.

I had never used a resume writing service before. After many months of job searching, I knew that I needed help. After filtering to just a few services, ResumeZest stood out with their reviews. I purchased the resume, cover letter and LinkedIn products. I was assigned Lori Evans and it was wonderful. Not only did she take the time to really understand my situation and goals, she explained every step, was open to my feedback and was on time throughout the process. I am very happy with all of the products and can't believe what I learned along the way. Wish I had found them sooner!

Writing this to help/warn people who are hopeful about this service before they consider purchasing. I invested $378 in ResumeZest for their resume and LinkedIn package, hoping to streamline my job search in the tech space while pressed for time/energy. Unfortunately, the experience was fraught with issues that undermined my confidence in the service and ultimately led me to cut my losses even after giving them feedback about the experience.

From the outset, the responses and changes provided by the service often did not address my specific concerns. Despite my and peers of mine’s extensive experience in hiring processes and consultations with HR professionals, recruiters, and industry advisors, my writer ignored my insights, relying instead on their credibility and experience in resume writing. This rigid approach was particularly frustrating when my feedback was either ignored or met with dismissive pushback. Additionally, my request to retain Word comment threads (suggested by them to track feedback) was disregarded, as my unresolved comments got removed in the final drafts.

The service exhibited a troubling inattention to detail. Multiple grammatical errors persisted through revisions, and there were inaccuracies in my educational background and work history, such as a missing minor and incorrect employment dates. Compounding these issues was my writer also addressing me by someone else’s name in the introductory message.

Moreover, the resume contained numerous terms and skills inauthentic or irrelevant to my background despite the thoughtful detail I laid out in the 1st steps of the process. Some phrases were vague, non-standard, or incorrect, signaling a lack of industry knowledge. The job descriptions for my past positions were overly lengthy, repetitive, and filled with fluffy phrases, seemingly to pad the document which they made 2 pages. The inclusion of keywords I provided was handled impersonally and the final product resembled a copy-paste effort overall rather than a thoughtful integration of info.

Despite the positive elements like ATS-centric tips and several helpful rephrasings - the significant monetary cost, the time/effort invested by myself, and content based issues with the resume were too significant to overlook. Using even a fraction of the final versions would have been a risk to professional reputation and potential opportunities for good. Although the service attempted to reconcile when I advocated for my situation, their lack of necessary skill and insight into the tech field led me to move on without spending more time engaging with their product.

Lori was a fantastic resource for helping professionalize my resume. She offered great insight and helped produce and outstanding resume! Definitely recommend!

I recently used ResumeZest in hopes of receiving a personalized and polished resume and cover letter. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

The resume format provided by ResumeZest was generic. Despite expecting a tailored layout that would highlight my skills and experience, what I received felt like a one-size-fits-all template. Even worse, one of my achievements was listed as part of my daily responsibilities, completely undermining the impact of my accomplishments. The revisions made to my original resume were minimal at best. The changes in verbiage were minimal, leaving me questioning the value of the service provided. It seemed that all the writer did was rearrange the format without truly enhancing the content.

The cover letter provided by ResumeZest was almost identical to what could have been generated by an AI like ChatGPT. There was a lack of creativity and personalization, which defeated the purpose of seeking professional assistance in the first place.

To add to my disappointment, when I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a refund, ResumeZest refused to oblige. Instead, they offered to assign another writer to my case, but after such a disappointing experience, I couldn't bring myself to trust their services any longer.
I had chosen ResumeZest over larger companies in the hopes of receiving a more personalized and creative service. However, it's evident that their small size did not translate to better quality or attention to detail. In hindsight, I realize I would have been better off opting for a larger company that offers similar services at a more affordable price.

Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend ResumeZest to others. Their lack of personalized attention, generic format, and refusal to provide a refund demonstrate a disregard for customer satisfaction. If you're seeking professional resume and cover letter services, I advise looking elsewhere for a more reliable and reputable provider.

Absolute scam!! I engaged this company for an executive write up. The first writer I got made a trrrible mess of my resume. She was in a vacation mood so she made an absolute garbage resume, mixed up my experience. I spent an hour fixing it and was like wait … I paid them to do this. Why am I fixing this?
So I reached out and they me another one after I complained about it.

The Second Lady did pretty much a slightly better job but the resume was NOT executive level by any standards. I made my displeasure clear. They told me to try it for a few months and if I don’t get results they will stick by their guarantee.
I gave it a shot and when I reached back out they told me that their “guarantee” is that they will offer me a rewrite.
And they were not able to offer me a rewrite because apparently I had two writers already.
I was shocked. Absolute scam! Disappointed is an understatement!!!
Would give negative stars if I could.
Apparently their management decided that my resume was upto standard and even though I told them that I got no results with it and the resume format was outdated they refused to give me a refund or rewrite.
Save your time and money. They neither stick to their guarantee nor their timelines.
