The adviser from Retrofit West who came to my house was on time, courteous and clearly very knowledgeable about a broad range of issues relating to energy and heat loss. We made a detailed assessment of my situation and gave relevant advice.
Similarly Retrofit West have been exemplary in responding to and assisting a group to develop a community wide retrofit programme.

Matt's advice has been invaluable. He's helped us to understand what would work for our property, what to look out for and suggested products to look into. This is a brilliant service being offered and I hope it encourages others to have the confidence to retrofit their properties.

Matt gave us a very comprehensive report with lots of very useful pointers tailored to our specific circumstances and with an impressively short turn-around. Our house has suffered extensive fire damage and is without a roof. He turned up on a cold November Sunday afternoon and was very thorough in his assessment including independent advice on things not directly related to a renewables system and which are now incorporated into the schedule of work for our rebuild. I enjoyed chatting with my retrofit advisor, Nathan. He was knowledgeable and clear about the benefits and costs of each retrofit options that would suit my 1980's detached property (heat pumps, electric boilers, solar panels etc.), whilst also providing some useful practical advice to insulate and avoid damp issues in the house. I also like that they have a list of trusted suppliers and contractors to use as well.

The information and ideas that we were given were useful starting points for the processes (cavity wall insulation and the replacement of glass (not the frames)) we were considering.

We had to filter a considerable amount of information from the organisations that we were referred to by Retrofit West but that is an issue for the specialist trade bodies.

Joanne was amazingly knowledgeable and capable, showing us every conceivable way of improving our insulation and draught proofing, with clear priorities on implementation- and most at really low cost. There was no attempt to sell us anything, just pure, valuable, expert insight and information. The survey took just over 3 hours, so (with the voucher) was the best value ever! Just do it!

Clara was really helpful in navigating the maze of sustainable retrofit, especially internal wall insulation for solid walls, and breathable plasters. It has been really helpful to have support with planning and phasing of different works.
