Perfect customer service and product!

I ordered 2 AJ Lamps. The lamps arrived exactly in time as described on the website. Before the shipment I received an email with the tracking Numbers and just 2 days later the lamps got delivered. I can only say this is a perfect customer service. I am totally happy with the quality of the lamps and will definitely order more from Retro Furnish. There is nothing to complain about. I am a totally satisfied customer and can't understand the sometimes bad reviews from people. I think sometimes the expectations are so beyond reality and some people are just notorious complainers. If you order the original designs of the furniture offered here, you have to wait many, many weeks too till you have them at home and you pay ten times the price.

Excellent Professional Service & Value for Money.

I am delighted with the goods I received, excellent quality and item just as pictured and described on website, a real bargain.
After a slight hiccup with delivery, an email was sent and John was on to it straight away - he sorted out my delivery promptly and goods were received the following day.
A very professional company, and I will not hesitate in recommending them or using them again in the future.
Thanks for everything guys!

Amazing products and fast delivery

4 stars deserved !
I ordered some lamps on Retro Furnish site and I am very satisfied : the products are really well finished and I received them pretty fast. I had no problem to install my lamps thanks to the instructions.

It doesn't deserve 5 stars because the delivery guy wasn't nice and kind of in a hurry.

Charles Eams Chairs

That the items were in stock (high amount), low in price and the fast customer service made me feel good with placing an order. The delivery was quickly and the customer care helped me fast when I had issues with the deliveries. Product is of high quality, although I did not like the plastic protection around the legs of the chairs (plastic was stuck in the screws), I did not have that on the Charles Eams table (from the Spanish competitor). Coating is not always top standard (varies), but only noticeable if you go and look carefully on the legs (I though a bit about it during assembly but not when they are furnitures). All in all, I would order from Retro Furnish again.

never again

I ordered two items,

One of them came very fast, unfortunately it was the wrong version. As it was a kids chair, I didn't mind that much.
Second was a coffee table which was advertised as in stock! that was not true. In stuck at retrofurnish means they are producing it now. So now 3 month later, I still have not received my order! canceling will cost you 20%.
Email communication; they answer quick but they actually do not give a real answer to what you are asking.

So I will not order at this site again and don't be fooled by "in stock" sign.

i am really that you did not see the delivery dates before placing your order.

As we have many colors we can not have them all in stock.

You can find out the delivery date by choosing the color and open the + logo.

Can you please let us know if you wish to cancel or are you have to wait until next week for delivery?

Generally Ok

Ordered a couple of things at retro furnish! Received some rather quickly. Up had some difficulty with th shipping and 2 chairs arrived really late! However I have to say that for so far I am satisfied with their customer care.

Order chanceled, still waiting for a full refund

I paid for a chair (71.48 Euro), after 2 weeks retrofurnish cancelled my order and said they never got any money. After I sent them proof of payment, they agreed to refund me part of it, claiming my bank would charge a fee of 5-10 Euro for the refund. I asked my bank about it, they don’t charge any fee. After two weeks of mailing back and forth I received 64.13 Euro. So retrofurnish still owes me money.
I will check if I can report this to the police.
NEVER ORDER AT RETROFURNISH!!!

Great experience. Flexible. Responsive.

I was able to buy spare parts for chairs that I had bought elsewhere a few years ago. The communication was quick and to the point. After placing the order I was informed of every step. Delivery was swift. I'll be more than happy to do business with them in the future.

I can see some negative comments below but I have to say that when it comes to my orders - floor lamp, 8 chairs and a dining table - I am so so happy with the quality, service, lead time and quick responses! I would like to recommend this company highly! I am definitely going to buy more items!

Fast delivery, great lamps

I ordered my Moon pendant Light and my BS1 floor lamp after asking customer service the delivery time as I needed them for my new appartment and wasn't ready to wait for a month without decent lights.

My order arrived 10 days after purchase in perfect condition and the lamps are great.

absolutely horrible service!!

I have ordered 6 Eames chairs on August 4, delivery date was foreseen in October, which is actually pretty late if you ask me. Anyway, I didn't mind, I was willing to wait. No feedback what so ever from Retrofurnish, in October I called them to ask when I would get them, they said between October 14 and 24. On October 27 I finally get a tracking number, but nothing happened on the tracking number... So on October 30 I mailed them to ask what was going on?? Again no answer, November 3rd I called them, then all of a sudden she was able to mail me back right away saying that the chairs were delivered but not in good quality, so they had to reorder them by express. New delivery date was November 20. I find this very hard to believe, if they were bad quality then why did I get a tracking number in the first place?? I told her that I didn't believe this & that they had better deliver the chairs on the new delivery date, but of course no reply on my mail.
We are November 25 now & I still didn't get any feedback on the delivery date of my chairs & even worse, no one is picking up the phone anymore. This is the crappiest company I have ever ordered from & I order online all the time.

Deliver date continously postponed

I consider such web site untrustable.
I ordered in 2015 a knitted ottoman, delivery date has been postponed twice, and each time of a month.
I have now asked to be reimbursed entirely, and awaiting a reply:email sent 5 days ago and a chat session that has no reply since I have exposed the problem, 1 hour awaiting a chat reply with a message showing "We will reply to you shortly...).

Good service

It took Retrofurnish some time to deliver my order (but they sticked to the dates reported on my acoount on the RF-homepage). I had some problem with the shippment of my two chairs, the service-team (Joyce) did an excellent job. I had never to wait more than a few hours for response. Now i am very happy with my new furniture.

All's well that ends well

We did buy two chairs (Eames) at Retro Furnish. Good pricing. It took quite a while until delivery of the chairs. However, the communication with Retro Furnish (Jane!) in the meantime was excellent. So were the chairs that we finally received.

Worst ever handling of return and rip-off in transport cost

After the purchase of a lamp we returned the lamp as per retrofurnish's instructions. As of then it took 2 months, multiple calls and emails to get the money refunded. We even had to provide proof that they had indeed received the lamp back.
ATTENTION: Retrofurnish not only charges you the shipping cost that in our case was ca. 25 € (that's what we paid to have it shipped back from Germany to the UK) but also an exorbitant shipping fee, The total shipping and handling we were charged initially was 65 € making up for ca. 40 € handling!!All in all it cost us 90 € to benefit from their return policy and two months of hassle! We will certainly never ever use them and can only recommend others to refrain from using them.

Huge scam!!! Avoid!!!!

If I had had the option of chosing zero starts I would have. Retrofurnish is a scam. I ordered 23 chairs from them in June and to this day I have not received one single item!!!! Zero spontaneous communication to announce any delays, I only found out because I enquired by email on several occasions only to hear the same thing, that they were sorry and that my chairs would be delivered at a certain date.3 and 1/2 months later, still nothing. Here's a summary:
brief summary of relevant information:

-On June 23rd, order place, all items are indicated in stock.
-On June 29th I send an email inquiring about estimated delivery date. The response given to me "planned between the 30.07.15 and 09.08.15”.
-On August 10th , having still not received a confirmation that my order had been shipped, I send another email. I am informed on the same day that “due to strikes at the channel tunnel delivery is postponed in about 2 weeks”.
-On August 26th, I receive a confirmation from Retrofurnish that my items have been shipped.
-On August 28th, I receive an email “Important message from Retrofurnish about your order” stating the following “We are contacting you because there has been a slight delay regarding the dispatching of your order. The tracking number that you have received will be active by Wednesday morning for a delivery 3-5 days after that. We are extremely sorry for this incident and thank you for your understanding.”
-On September 14th, after checking DPD tracking codes for several days and seeing no advancement, I send another email to complain that my delivery status has not changed at all. I informed Retrofurnish that if I do not receive my items by the 23rd of September, that I would ask for a significant rebate for the inconvenience.
-On September 17th I am informed that delivery is still delayed and: “ The tracking number that you have received will be active by Wednesday morning for a delivery 3-5 days after that“ . .
-On September 25th, I send an email to complain that I have still not received anything.
-On September 26th, I get this response: "unfortunately we have some issues with our forwarder and occurred a huge delay in delivery but please note that delivery time can take up to 18 weeks as stated into our terms of sales. We will take action in order that you will have your chairs in the next 7-8 days to your doorsteps. Regarding the compensation we can offer you a 200 euro voucher to use on our website with value for 12 months. Unfortunately i have the regret to tell you that we can not offer a compensation on the current order."
Still on September 26th, not being satisfied with their response, I send another email to which I get this following response: "Thank you for your mail. After discussing with our manager we unfortunately can not offer you more compensation. Your order will leave on monday for delivery but you still can cancel it before monday morning and will refund you."
Today, the 7th of October 2015, I still have not received one single item nor news from the staff.

So Retrofurnish did not respect delivery dates on several occasions, not informing me spontaneously about the delay, not taking into account any form of inconvenience and offering a mere 200 euro compensation on a future order as compensation on a order worth 3500 euros !!!!!!
I am not the only one complaining!
