My 'Retroboss' arrived quickly, and whereas it is more expensive that other similar products, I think it's money well spent; the unit is robust (metal, not plastic), with all cables and works wonderfu... See more

After a long time trying to find a retro games machine, I’ve been looking for a couple of years now, trying to find a machine that best suits my needs mainly around the sega genre. I came across Retropia, and I’m so glad that I did, a very quick look at their website fed me full of enthusiasm that I had found the machine for me, so much so infact, that I ordered from them by a debit card without even reaching out to them first. After ordering, I replied to one of their automated emails asking if it was possible to add 4 sega Saturn games on, I had a reply within about an hour stating it was possible but may lead to a day or so delay. Anyway, I ordered on Friday and today Monday it has arrived. Everything in English, everything packed like an actual console should be, and everything is perfect, I literally couldn’t be happier. Thank you for a truly awesome machine.

I had been waiting since April to get my hands on a RetroBOSS (was going to buy one at the end of April, but it had unfortunately sold out), and it was most definitely worth the wait.
The unit is fantastic with a wide selection of games that run very well (having options on how to run the games helps out), and it has definitely given me a lot of fun sessions over these past few weeks.
I should also mention that customer support was absolutely fantastic helping me with a slight problem I had with the system.
Overall, 10/10 across the board. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an awesome emulator.

I recently purchased the RetroBOSS console and it has more than lived up to my expectations.
The purchase/delivery was quick and easy, the console is great and the number of games available is truly amazing. I've only sampled a few old favourites, so many more weekends needed to fully appreciate the full catalog available.
I had a technical question which was answered very quickly on the members forum, A+++.
Highly recommended and really happy with the console.

I upgraded to a RetroBoss having had a really good ‘Superior’ machine from a different manufacturer previously. I was happy with that but the RetroBoss absolutely blew it away. Having a wider selection of more powerful consoles (like the GameCube, XBox & WiiU) has totally blown my old Superior away. It’s much more useful having a video play for most of the titles before you choose what to try makes it so much easier to find new games to try. My Superior didn’t do that. Scraping (downloading videos for games that haven’t got one) works like a dream (it would mess up the Superior if I tried that so I only did it once and never again). Make sure you get the right Dongle though that doesn’t require drivers to be installed. All games can have the settings altered if you’re having them run slow (as I had with the XBox and some PSP titles - I just changed the screen resolution). I added some BBC & ZX81 game files and the emulator just appeared in the menu (I noticed empty folders for those in the roms menu while adding new titles so added some just to see what happened and they just worked with no effort from me other than that)
A couple of criticisms. I did spend around 2 weeks adding what I would call some essential titles. I mean, why have Daley Thompson’s Supertest & Olympic Challenege for the Spectrum on the machine but no Daley Thompson’s Decathlon? That was the most successful title in the series! No arcade version of Bubble Bobble but the Amiga and Spectrum versions are there? There was no Mr. Do! or Dingo (games I was involved with) on the Spectrum either so I got them all added. Be aware there’s a lot of crap in the rom dumps that you’ll never use too. Who needs Spectrum tape copiers on a machine like this? Or a program from 1983 to complete Tax Returns? No one. There’s a lot of foreign language adventures too that are useless to me so they all got deleted. And I hate Mahjong and card games so all those went as well. The game rom collections, especially for the 8-bit machines really could have done with a tidy up before being sent out on the machines. Saying that, it’s well easy to delete and add titles that you want yourself, but just a bit time consuming.
***Due to my above comment the makers actually asked me to send my worked on collection of ZX Spectrum games to save everyone else from having to delete those useless titles and add those essential titles I discovered were missing. So, my tidied up collection is now the default selection of Spectrum titles on new RetroBoss machines!
To sum up, this is one of the best retro gaming purchases I’ve ever made and can whole heartedly recommend it to anyone interested. You could leave it as it is but I tidied mine up (for 2 weeks I was spending more time sorting out the games than playing anything) but it was worth it in the end. I made a list when I noticed stuff missing and they’re all on there now and working but i think they could do with someone with some expert knowledge of the 8 bit classic titles to add some obvious omissions and get rid of some of the stuff NO one’s going to be interested in.
If I hadn’t had to do that I’d have given the machine 10 out of 10. As it is, it gets a 9.5! Getting a RetroBoss has blown me away. It’s excellent
P.S. Delivery was really quick too. It came in less than a week!

Purchased the Retroboss from Retropia after my previous Retrodroid console died (which wasn't purchased from Retropia!). The console itself is amazing, love the immense catalogue of game and the ease at which you can navigate through them. And the way it displays random games as you move between emulators is awesome! The instructions were very comprehensive and the Retropia online forum is great for assistance and FAQs. Very happy with the Retroboss and the customer service!

Had my Retroboss + accessories for two months and loving it - really impressive machine. User interface is slick, with great previews of the games, random suggestions and some games rated out of five to nudge you towards titles worth checking out (a good feature when there's 36,000 of them!). In-game saves are easy, as is grouping the games into favourites for easy access. Control is seamless! I think the Wii remote is worth it, as the gun games are good fun. Playing Spectrum games with the keyboard really is a nostalgia kick! So much on there you could never get bored. Delivery was very fast also. Thanks guys

Excellent retro console with so many of my old favourites I don’t know what to play first! I’m still finding old gems to play. Ordering was really easy on the website and delivery was not more than a few days. The best part is the aftercare service. Using the forum on the website it’s easy to get answers to any issues with individual games and the response is rapid. Using the online contact page is just as simple and just as rapid. Well recommended.

Had the RetroBoss for Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it but then, the GameCube games weren't loading so I contacted Retropia for their help. They were very helpful throughout the entire experience and now thanks to them, I can continue to play my GameCube games without any worry
