I was looking for a solicitors to help me buy my first home and qualitysolicitors lawson and thompson was my choice for a number of reasons they were close by where I lived so could go in and speak with someone face to face. second when I first rang them up to ask about cost and told them I found a house made an offer which was accepted they give me advise there and then which turned out to be a life saver and was not sure what I was doing. I got my solicitor her name was Emma chamberlain and she was fantastic right from the off I am dyslexic which I told her, she went thought documents with me making sure I had understand the forms and what I was signing. Got a step by step guide of the process and a guide in weeks till completion. Third everyone wants to keep cost down at a time with buying a house and they came in under alot of others that i rang.There was not one time when she did not get back to me by email or phone when I had questions and there was alot of them always very professional but made me feel at easy would recommend to anyone to use if buying a house

Easy to use site, excellent information

The form and questions asked in relation to reviewing the solicitor I used for residential conveyancing was straight forward to use. The questions were quite specific to solicitor practices and also to the fact I'd required conveyancing. This made it really easy to provide a detailed and honest review of my solicitor.

The site allowed us to give an honest and open opinion on the Solicitors we used recently to sell a house. ( The Solicitors - Sweeney Miller were excellent ).

A valuable platform for submitting reviews of legal services provided by various solicitors

Really easy to use. Mine was a positive review, so may have to see what happens when I have a negative one to post.

I can see my review when I log in but it hasn't been published. I have contacted them email and phone but no response.

I suspect they don't like to publish one star reviews for solicitors that are paying for their services.

I also notice that the other Review Solicitors on Trustpilot states...... This company’s rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines.

My review is honest and fair and I have all of the emails to back it up .....Leeds Day LLP - St Neots

Absolutely diabolical and would avoid at all costs. My solicitor has been trying to deal with Leeds Day for six months to arrange a simple lease assignment for my business. They have:
1. Turned this into a protracted and unnecessary negotiation (it should a straightforward process), trying to remove the security of tenure rights under the Landlords and Tenants act from the lease.
2. Attempted to increase my ongoing liability for the lease from two years to 15 years!
3. Gave incorrect and misleading information to their client, the landlord. At least when we identified this issue the Trainee Solicitor dealing with us up to that point ‘left’ Leeds Day the next day.
4. Presented us with invoices in excess of the undertakings given and when requested they couldn’t or wouldn’t substantiate them. When challenged further on this they simply reduced their invoice back to the value of the original undertaking. They have been asked on several occasions to explain their costs but have failed to do so.
5. The ‘supervising’ solicitor who took over expressed surprise when she looked at their file and found 281 items, even though she had been on copy of all of them! That was back in June and there have probably been about another 100 email exchanges on it since then and they still haven’t confirmed they are ready to complete.
6. Sent documents to the Landlord for signing that were incorrect and had to be returned, causing further delay. Denied having any knowledge of this on two occasions and finally sent the corrected paperwork back to the landlord two weeks later! We still don’t have confirmation that they are in receipt of the signed documents even though the landlord has confirmed they were completed and sent.
7. Have consistently ignored chasing emails from my solicitor.
This is just a summary. I have lodged a complaint with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (they are members) as I have email and documented evidence to substantiate all of the above.
