Very poor customer service
Well what a couple of weeks ago
March 13th I picked up my new 25 plate ZS Hybrid at the time I gave a glowing review that's changed to being very disappointed. I reported that I think the vehicle may just may have a small issue. Vehicle was booked in to be looked at unfortunately due to issues at my place of work I was unable to make the booking phone and reset the booking turned up on the day oh know had any idea I was coming been waiting on a phone call still waiting
What a joke. 30 years I've been using Richmonds yes this the first issue I've had .Not good customer service in my eyes

Quick and easy.
Purchased a new HS PHEV from Richmond MG Portsmouth. Michael was very helpful and efficient without being pushy. I part ex’d my old car and was happy with their offer and easy transition. New Car was ordered and delivered much quicker than expected time frame. Michael was able to answer all questions thrown at him and was great at keeping me informed through the process (waiting for car to come in)
Would use MG Portsmouth again.

Sold a dream, received a nightmare!!
10 months ago I got a new car, 3 times its broken down. Had to then pay for a courtesy car although I was told this would be FREE! Again, car is sat outside me house not working, aircon has broken down already!
Can’t return the car or trade the piece of s**T back in! Was told to avoid the Portsmouth store but I went with them anyway.
PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THESE COWBOYS!
Worse company I have EVER dealt with in my life, no one calls you back, no one is helpful, no one cares that you have children and a job to get to/from! They are absolutely disgusting!

MG MG4 test drive and purchase at Richmond Portsmouth
Wasn’t a great start as I arrived a few minutes early for my test drive but the original salesman was busy. After waiting for about 25 mins, Sundeep took over and handled everything. He reviewed my car for part-exchange and sorted out the test drive vehicle (not sure why this wasn’t originally ready). After running me through the main controls, he let me take the vehicle for an extended drive (about 40-45 mins), which gave me plenty of time to trial it on a variety of roads and traffic conditions. On returning to the showroom, he had the proposed deal ready for me and also offered me a coffee as the day had gotten a bit warm! After talking me through the financial options and potential add-ons, I was content to progress. All in all a very smooth process after a disappointing start. Thanks Sundeep.

Protracted purchase - handled with professionalism and care.
I came to Richmond Motor Group to buy my first ever EV, an MG ZS Trophy (with long range 270 miles). Initially started with Guildford office but soon diverted to Portsmouth, near where I live. They especially brought the car I wanted down from Guildford for me. On the day of purchase a few things went wrong with the administration side. I took the car away but the purchase was not fully resolved. The next day, the Sales Manager (Markus Karim) phoned me and promised to make everything right, which he duly did. The mark of a good company is how they deal with you when things go wrong. Richmond showed patience, understanding and a commitment to make me satisfied. Thank you so much to the Sales team for pulling the stops out and satisfying all my requirements. A great car and a great company that does what it advertises.
