They didn’t let me ride, said “take the bus”
The app let me download it put all my information and payment information, all to reject even giving me a ride when I tried to book. Instead of giving me the ride that I paid for, they gave me a bus route and told me to take the bus instead of getting a driver. I had my toddler with me and I am not comfortable nor have I ever been with taking the city bus. I can look also up the bus route on my own, and if that’s the mode of transportation I wanted to take, I would have done that. We had just gotten a really bad snowstorm and there was not even a safe place to wait for the city bus in my area. It doesn’t make any sense to go into a rideshare app and get a bus route. Total waste of time.

They are really good my only complaint is that sometimes they don’t have enough people at different time but other then that I haven’t had a problem and they are really nice and affordable

Has potential but the human element ruins it
Well, I've been riding for 7 months and in the beginning, I was really excited for an option that was not the bus. I have a chronic illness and walking the long distances to the bus stops can be exhausting so I was happy to find another option.
However, in this length of time, I've been late to work and had to request last minute rides from friends, coworkers, and pay for Ubers/Lyfts more times than is necessary. To start, they don't have enough staff to keep up with the demands. The driver turnover rate is unreal. Because of this, wait times are long - 30 minutes or more becoming the norm. In addition to this, the routing is nonsensical.
The app is constantly glitching. Most recently, I've been told I can't be picked up from my address (despite being picked up at the same location multiple days per week for several months) and when I called to report this to the customer service center they just said "sorry, we're busy" despite me getting a very specific message that "MoGo can't stop here".
Yesterday, MoGo issued a ride credit of $1 (funny because the rides are 1.25) which left them trying to charge my card for .25 cents. It won't go through. I have money on all my cards - definitely enough to cover less than a dollar charge. However, it keeps failing. I call customer care and try to tell them it's likely because they have a dollar threshold on their credit card processor and that I can't change that on my end. I was told they'd manually retry it (it didn't work) and that I should remove my card and re-enter it, which I had already done. Because MoGo cannot charge my card TWENTY FIVE CENTS despite me having plenty of available funds, I am now now allowed to use the app. My account is deactivated and no one seems to be keen to help try to find a resolution. There is no one higher up that I'm allowed to speak to.
I am absolutely furious.
Add this to the fact that the drivers regularly call the customer service line and say that riders want to cancel their ride without ever speaking to or seeing the rider is also frustrating because it means several times, after 5pm, you don't know if you're going to get picked up or not. You're at the whims of whatever driver you're assigned to. A ride should not be allowed to be cancelled by the driver without speaking to the rider, period.
DO SOMETHING about this. This has the potential to be great but your staff are ruining it.
I was INJURED due to a reckless VIA…
I was INJURED due to a reckless VIA driver in West Sacramento, In year 2021. After several medical appts, we tried xxx times to Contact VIA receiving bogus addresses in New York. It was nearly impossible to contact their insurance. I had surgery on my shoulder, and they claim pre existent conditions. VIA took not responsibility, avoiding me and my reps. The fact of a reckless driver that did two U turns with bold lines (Merkley & Jefferson) and almost run a red light, did not mean anything to them hiding behind. Today, after years of pain, rehab, lost of time and frustration they argued of preexistent conditions due to my shoulder pain. They lie, they hide, and they avoid responsibility while driving in our community. I still have pain down in my shoulder, and is not a broken ligament or arthritis that also cause shoulder pain. Since last august keep avoiding us. WHY the city of W Sacramento sponsored them? senior children drive in this shuttles... who takes responsability?

I wish that I could put negative zero stars. Ride by via granted me a credit so I was going to wait to use it when I truly needed it. I was at Walmart yesterday thinking that I would catch the RIDE back home with my credit. I called the customer service people to book the RIDE and they told me that I had already used it. This was a complete fabrication. I paid for my previous rides and was saving the credit for a rainy day. The people at the customer service center were extremely rude and gave off the attitude that they did not care they had STOLEN my credit. To anyone who is thinking about taking this form of transportation, I encourage you to find another ride. These people with RIDE do not care about the mistakes they made. DO NOT USE THIS RIDE TRANSPORTATION. They are crooks and will steal from you!! This happened in Wilson NC.

It only works select this area seems like Southside, Shrewsberry North County, Hazelwood if you live in North County or North St. Louis or Walnut Park and we’re trying to get to work or get a bus , even if you have to leave early in the morning why did they create the app to only work And I was in a neighborhood where there are no buses in the steel told me I was trying to get from o Sagamore in North County to North County transit still didn’t work

If you ever come across this ad to work for this company DONT DO IT. They are probably the worst company I have ever worked for. If you are a driver there is absolutely no training or support. They absolutely give you nothing in regards of benefits , sick days, vacation pay, also you have to pay taxes off everything you recieve this includes HST because your considered a contractor not an employee. Which means if you are off sick or you happen to lose your job there is no way to collect unemployment insurance. Also, you can drive for 11 hours straight without a break, if you want to take a break you need to call support (if you can get intouch with them) and ask for a break but you have to pay for it. This means when your a contractor you have to pay for a rental vehicle, so when you take a break you don't get payed but you continue to pay for the rental. Shifts are difficult to get because they continuesly hire more drivers. Vans were continuesly breaking down, didn't put snow tires on in winter months, never seen a manager, didn't have a direct line to a manager. When driving at night, after 5pm there wasn't anyone to help you except support which was located in different country. All in all, stay away from this company, you will regret it if you work for them.

I was assigned 4 different times today. I asked for a supervisor no one would help me. You have people driving just sitting in parking lots not moving at all. I watched them for about 10 mimutes while on the phone and took a picture. I also had a ride
that was already available and they switched up rides. In all I called VIA about 5 times to ask what is happening to the ride. All they could say is I'm sorry I understand. No
they don't understand because if they understood we wouldn't have to wait for an hour. The professionalism that was given to us today was definitely poor management. You all
know nothing about Wilson NC, however, your drivers be just as confused. Someone need to make this right...or we are on the verge if protesting for our city busses to come

As a partner Driver with this company, I have to say they move like molasses when it comes to returning phone calls or texts. I am so grateful I have Uber and Lyft to back up on because I don’t see this the venue of ride sharing surviving. Of course, I believe they have ulterior motives in, the various market areas that they service. One being upgrading the technology of different regions, two, Taking over the mass transit systems in various regions, and of course we can’t forget the almighty dollar. I am pretty disappointed In how slow, the corporate level moves, especially knowing they are banking on the federal grants that they get.

I use via to go to my doctors appointments and I have to book them a hour ahead of time because they take such a long time to get to you then I’ve had a driver I had to scream at to pick me up in front of my house because I’m handicap and because he thought because he didn’t think I was handicap that I could walk to the corner of my street that he took 54 minutes to get to!!!!

It’s actually pretty annoying that you will NEVER be picking up on time, u have to walk to a pick up destination, you will NEVER make it on time & you will have to walk to destination. Price is cute but not worth it if you need to get somewhere on time. Also I’m currently riding with 5 people. Terrible.

I don't know what's going on my daughter has been complaining that they take a long time to pick her up and when they get to her they go the other way around to pick more people up making her late 1 hour she books just incase and the ride becomes longer the bus at this point is faster and goes the route it suppose to. Not backwards smh they need to do better at one point everyone will stop taking them. Back to uber or bus or lightrail.
