The way Via does surge pricing, it's almost as bad as Uber and Lyft, but it can't even drop me off at my door. It doesn't offer ANY discounts, or special deals. I've noticed that often the single ri... See more

Via car ride trigger asthma attack!
Via has policy such as no talking in the car. Sure fine. But they don’t have any policy on perfume use by drivers! I took a ViA car service with my 3 year old son. The driver had so much perfume on, we were had to ride with the windows down in 40 degree temperature. It was no use. My son still had an asthma attack!!! This is the second time it’s happened!!! I’ve emailed via again, and yet again, NO response!
The drivers were very nice and helpful

Most of the time there is very littl wait
But a few times it was REALLY QUITE LONG
Drivers are mindful of passengers personal space
I am very glad that I switched to Via after so years of having to put up with yellow cab drivers with full on road rage (which is not safe for anyone) and I don't want to support courier services that do not take claims seriously of drivers subjecting their customers to sexual harassment/stalking. We are in a public transit crisis here in NYC and so many New Yorkers rely on public transport for a variety of reasons. Carpool routes are matched well with other riders and I appreciate a car service that can prioritize the customer and wouldn't try to price gouge when trains are out of service or because of inclement weather.

I've found Via as always reliable and convenient, usually picking me up and dropping me off very close to my actual pick-up/drop-off points (not always the case for other car-sharing services). Also, Via is extremely cost effective! I love love love Via!
Via is efficient
Via is efficient, affordable and user friendly. I recommend it to people every time I get a chance.
excellent service
excellent service! i appreciate the fact that if the driver messes up, i can just text the number and they quickly respond with a resolution
as a passenger
as a passenger, this is a very cheap and efficient way to get around, however come with time, if you ride this in a hurry or late for something it may give you adverse effect and make it worse for you.
Overall is a good and cheap idea
Via drivers and Via vehicles are first…
Via drivers and Via vehicles are first rate. The former, always polite
and helpful, the latter, always clean and comfortable.
Great service
Great service, like that it's shared, it's more environmentally and cost friendly.
The Best!
The cheapest out there and the drivers are always polite and professional.
The drivers and service are great
The drivers and service are great, but most times you do not give enough time to walk to the pick up point. Like, 3 minutes to walk 3 blocks. Also, more than once I’ve had to walk to a pickup point only to pass right by where I originated my ride from. Often I’m carrying multiple bags, and in those instances I have made the choice to go with a different service for these very reasons
Like many things that become…
Like many things that become successful, quality diminishes in tandem with an increase in cost. I recently tried to reserve a ride that would have picked me up in eight minutes and cost a ridiculous amount of money. I cancelled the request and finally caught a cab, that cost $2.00 less than Via was asking -- for a longer wait and a shared ride, that might have dropped me a block or two away from my destination. I used to use Via all the time. Now I use it rarely. You have become far too expensive for the service you provide

drivers are rude and leave you at far destinations
most of the time they wait in the wrong assigned corner
too slow
too many pick ups in one destination
i once was in the car 1 hour to go to 43 street UN from 74 my house

Via has been good for me to get to Port Authority from work every night I work. Lately, I realize your algorithm that takes Via through Times Square is ridiculous. If it doesn't change I am considering changing over to Lyft share ride.
Only good for ride sharing
Via is the best service for ride sharing. The only annoying experience I’ve had was with the Via private car, which did not bring us door to door, even though I was transporting an elderly woman with a walker. The driver did not speak English and he left us 2 blocks away from our destination because that was where his next pickup was, even though we had ordered a car, not the rideshare. To have paid more and not been dropped off properly was disgraceful. After that, I only use Via for ridesharing and use Lyft or Uber if I want a private car.
There's a glitch in their booking app
There's a glitch in their booking app. It has happened twice on separate occasions that I booked a ride to Penn Station, but the app defaulted to a location downtown near Brooklyn Bridge each time. I have never requested that default location. One late night with my daughter after finishing a commercial shoot, we requested a ride to go to Penn Station. It showed up as a wrong address and the app closed out, the driver took another fare and we were kicked out of car nowhere near our desired destination. Via does not refund or credit the ride. It's insulting and unethical business practice. Deleted this app and using Juno instead.
