Ridgewood Bank Reviews 

Early last week I opened two new customer accounts at the Baldwin Branch. When I returned two days later to deposit additional funds in the two accounts, I was referred to Branch Manager Lyndell Senior. Mr. Senior, with great patience and professionalism, spent a considerable amount of time with me and was able to overcome a number of hurdles to make my experience a good one. With the assistance provided by Customer Service Representatives Lesley Maldonado and Lalita Sukhu-Pooran, I left the bank knowing by decision to choose the Ridgewood Savings Bank as the financial institution for my banking needs was the right one.

The rep in the New Rochelle branch (Sevime Kreka Islami) was especially patient and helpful when I was trying to reconcile some differences in statements from two different accounts. It turned out that I had missed some instruction boxes online and the matter was easily resolved by a knowledgeable person.

Katherine Chan at the Grand Avenue Maspeth NY branch was excellent and extremely helpful today.

I have been doing business at R.S.B. for over 50 years, and for the last 10 years at the Hollis branch. My wife and I are very grateful that Hasina Begun works there, She handles all of our business in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. Her qualities are not easy to come by these days. I have been a customer with RWSB for quite a few years. I go to the District 1 (107-55 Queens Blvd Forest Hills, NY Branch) and I am completely satisfied with the staff at this branch. While my banking needs and spending are basically simple for the most part, the staff is wonderful and (for me) detailed oriented. The bank is well run and organized by bank manager Nancy Adzemovic with fine assistance from then assistant manager Yarsira Baez, and current assistant manager Theresa Galang-Sabanofsky (I tend to see these three ladies who are always helpful to me and very patient with me....perhaps more patience than I deserve) especially when I am dealing with numerous banking situations usually of my own making, but the bank tellers and desk tellers can be approached with confidence and you can expect courteous and helpful treatment. Two years ago, I thought that someone had illegally tapped into my savings account because they had sent me an email citing an approximate amount of money that I had (it turned out to be a lucky guess on their part). I had I notified Mrs. Adzemovic who IMMEDIATELY contacted the Chief of Security Gavin Matranga to investigate...the point here is that Ridgewood acts BEFORE something happens (I had a similar situation at other banks, but their bank officials told me that they CANNOT do anything unless something actually happens....notice the difference???) Mr. Matranga contacted me personally to reassure me that everything was alright and that my account had NOT been breeched. For me, District 1 is properly named and not just because of its geographical location. I think that the senior ranking Ridgewood bank officers should visit THIS branch to see how well it runs. This bank (for me) provides a true neighborhood feeling. It's not just which bank offers the best rates, or the best deals....CUSTOMER SERVICE ALSO APPLIES. This is why I will keep my money in Ridgewood even though other banks might have better savings rates.

I went into the 73rd st location, to cash a check or open an account. I couldn't do it that day, so i came back the next day. Alex Jones is the reason I am a customer. Alex went above and beyond to help me with opening 2 accounts. I love this family atmosphere and the helpfulness of the entire staff. I will be a customer forever no matter where i live
