Deposit still NOT refunded after 3+ months (SCAM WARNING)

I rented a car in Antalya in November via Carjet, with the local provider Right Cars - Turkey - Antalya.

At pickup, a deposit of approximately €620 was charged. I was explicitly informed that the deposit would be refunded within 20–40 working days after the car was returned.

The car was returned on 23 November, without any damage.
As of today, I still have NOT received my deposit.

I have contacted Right Cars multiple times via WhatsApp — the only contact option provided. My messages are clearly read and then ignored. There is no reply, no explanation, and no refund.

I have also been in regular contact with Carjet since January. Despite repeated calls every two weeks, I am constantly told to “wait” and that the issue will be passed on. Nothing has happened.

After reading many similar reviews here, this no longer appears to be an isolated case but a systematic practice of withholding customer deposits.

Keeping a €620 deposit for months, ignoring customers, and providing no resolution is unacceptable and highly unprofessional.
I strongly warn others to avoid this company.

**Terrible Experience with Right Cars…



**Terrible Experience with Right Cars Houston**

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Right Cars Houston that I feel compelled to share.

- **Long Wait**: I arrived at the airport and waited for **three hours** for the shuttle. This alone was unacceptable, especially after a long flight.

- **Unprofessional Shuttle Service**: When the shuttle finally arrived, the driver was speeding and talking loudly on his phone. To make matters worse, he almost asked for tips, which felt inappropriate given the service I received.

- **Lack of Human Interaction**: The car rental process was impersonal—just booths with no real human connection. This made it difficult to resolve issues or get assistance when needed.

- **Confusing Policies**: The teller at the booth communicated strict rules that were never explained at the time of purchase. For instance, my husband was not allowed to pay with his Apple Card, and I was told I had to pay an extra **$14 a day** just to add myself as a driver, even though the reservation was already on my credit card.

- **Poor Customer Service**: When I attempted to discuss these issues, the representative just hung up on me. I called customer service for help, but they directed me back to the booth, where I received no resolution. In the end, they canceled my reservation.

- **Final Outcome**: After **four hours**, I found myself back at the airport without a car. I ended up making a new reservation with a different provider.

**Conclusion**: Save yourself the trouble and money. Avoid Right Cars Houston and choose one of the companies listed on the airport bus.

Not a real agency???

Tried to reserve a car through Expedia with this agency and as soon as the credit information was entered, the website said the car was no longer available. Tried with 2 other cars also listed through this agency and got the same result. Now fighting for a reimbursement from my bank. DO NOT BOOK

If I could Zero star I would.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY " Right Cars"
The price you paid online is just to get you there , to charge you more money.
Waited 45 minutes for the shuttle, took half hour to get to the building, the shuttle also does hotel drop off and pickup.
Once you get to the building, no representative is present, just screens and a virtual agent.
I was asked to scan my driver's license and then credit card for the security deposit .
Instantly $500 was charged to my card, when I questioned it, was told it was an error and it would be refunded in a few minutes.
Agent tried to be sell me a daily toll package which I declined. Then I produced my valid insurance policy and was informed because I am declining their insurance. I am required to pay $99.99 plus a $350 refundable deposit.
The initial $500 was eventually refunded later the night.
I ended up paying an extra $99.99 plus a $350 deposit on top of the rate advertised that was paid in full before on priceline.
This was not a good experience at all. And they know if you refuse to pay them the extra money they are requesting, you dont have a rental car and forced to try and get another rental, last minute
On return of the vehicle, waited over an hour for a shuttle back to the airport. Calling the customer service number several times they kept saying an eta of 3 minutes. Eventually a shuttle arrives an hour and 15 minutes later. With space for 1 passenger. Several persons were waiting at this point.

This company should be investigated by the authorities and priceline should look into this company as well .

Sorry I booked with this company.

The most outrageous place I have ever…

The most outrageous place I have ever dealt with: once you get to their Orlando kiosk - the barely legal age kids reply to you as agent, English is barely understandable, they are rude and when they are starting pushing their “hidden fees” on you and you ask questions - they start interrupting you then hanging up on you! I refused to pay their fees and they were not even providing the information what that “insurance verification” fees of 70$ would be - and upon reading their agreement - it is a complete fraud! Please, rent with reputable companies and never deal with this crooks! I am shocked they are still in business and I will report them to the consumer agency for an audit and potential fines! What a joke of a place

Fraud alert. Be warned

Fraud alert. Rented a vehicle through this company. Instead of placing a refundable damage pre-authorization of $1,000, they charged my credit card outright.

Returned the vehicle as given and..they sent an email confirming the vehicle was returned with no damage. But when I requested a refund, they falsely claimed it was only a pre-authorization that is always released after seven days. I submitted clear evidence showing otherwise, including their own receipt confirming it was a charge and my credit card statement confirming the same.

After that, they stopped responding entirely.

This is deceptive behavior. Avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company charged us for our deposit and when we returned the car without issue ,which they confirmed, they did not refund our deposit which actually ended up being a fraudulent charge of over 1000 USD to our credit card that was supposed to be a pre-authorization. After multiple attempts to contact the company for our refund they stopped engaging and we are now dealing with the fraud department with our bank. This company should not be trusted and it's clear has committed fraud in our specific situation and likely many others.

Avoid thier Antalya branch they are scammers

Even after 2 month deposit 650 was not returned.
After short converstion in watsapp i was blacklisted.

Broker also couldnt get in touch with them, tried twice.
Physical mail to turkish consumers rights with full set of documents returned zero result (silence).

What really helped was initiating credit card transaction chargback. Today, after 5 months of fight i recieved my deposit back.

Swissapexai.com is fake and a scam. Don't trust him. They will be so nice in the beginning, playing on your emotions. Pressuring you to add more money to their trading platform, and talk about how much money and profit they can make you.This is their trick!!!. Don't fall for it. My financial advisor Gigi adams is very good a her job. Also known as oilva adams. And her Accomplice edward keenan. He will be the one to make the call to say.Your money is on hold. You won't be able to access your money.Their office in toronto , canada at 111 peter street floor 902 is fake. So is there phone number. They will never answer your email.And they will never answer the phone I.Encourage everybody to call the federal trade commission FTC. And the better business bureau , more complaints , better , the possibility of them being shut down, and stopping them from stealing other people's money. I have screenshots and evidence that I had account with them.If swiss apex were to reply to this , they will say that there is no evidence of an account, totally not true. Post as much as you can and get in touch with the authorities do not invest with swiss apex.

Fraud

I rented a car through this group in Antalya from November 25, 2025, to November 30, 2026, and paid a €1750 deposit. I later received confirmation that the car had been returned in the same condition as I received it and that my deposit would be refunded within five weeks. It's now January 20, 2026, and I still haven't received my deposit back. I'm now forced to file a theft complaint in Turkey to resolve the matter because I'm no longer receiving any response from the company. I believe this is fraud.

Horrible experience

There were almost $300 toll fees they didn’t include or mention, and also a $700 hold on. My card that I didn’t know about. I couldn’t get a refund because it was the day of that I wanted to cancel
After learning about all the extra fees. It would be nice to see this online BEFORE BOOKING!

I have rented cars for nearly 30 years…

I have rented cars for nearly 30 years through so many different companies in the US and all over the world and never faced a situation like with RC rentals.

This company runs a complete scam by charging extra fees and bullying you into paying them by not explaining what is going on, rushing you, pushing you, lying, ignoring, gaslighting, etc.

When contacted through customer service, immediately after, they were woefully unresponsive and unhelpful and simply denied any resolution whatsoever. They have no offices or customer service desks and only have virtual agents working for them offshore. There is no way to contact anyone who can address anything except by email. They do not respond or, when they do, it is one line saying they can do nothing to address their malpractice.

I have disputed the fees through my credit card company but I am also looking into a class action suit with others who have been affected in the same way.

On the day I arrived I heard several other families facing the same issues. I even heard one family calling out, “worst rental car experience ever.”

Scammers are not refunding the deposits…

Dear Mr. Karl Taylor

We rented a car provided by you Antalya right car Turkey through the Enjoy Travel for XXXXXX with the reservation nummer XXXXXXXXX between 29.06.2025----05.07.2025.

As seen in the attachment, the deposit amount of ex. EUR 650 on date 29.06.2025 has not been refunded to Remzi Bicer even though more than 2 months have passed. The deposit transaction by Antalya Right Cars was not blocked from the credit card but was made as a direct withdrawal.
We ve tried reaching Antalya Right car several times by phone and text ,but haven´ t heard back.
Plase kindly intervene and contact your Antalya Right cars franchise to have the deposit transferred to us

Do not use Hopper or Right Car Rental

Do not use Hopper or this company. Right Car Rental is a scam. I put on my itenary my airline ticket. My flight was delayed a hour. Upon arrival in airport I automatically called place for Wally Shuttle which is another scam place. They work together to get customer late to car rental so they can report a no show and keep money. The shuttle came one hour late and I repeatedly called them for shuttle and telling them I’m waiting for car. They were awful and didn’t care. When I finally arrived at place there zoom screen would not turn on for me but it did for others. When the finally answered me they told me I’m a no show and go back to airport they have no car for me. Do not use this company and hopper don’t help me at all. They left me stranded and I had hopper pro. Cancelled it and taking them to court.

I rented a vehicle from here for one…

I rented a vehicle from here for one day and it cost me almost $300 for a Toyota Corolla this also did not include the $1000 deposit that they wanted. Car rental was booked on Priceline for roughly $50. They indicated that the fee was paid only for the reservation. I would not rent from this company again. I have rented from other widely known car rentals enterprise, Sixt and the process and cars were more desirable. They do give you a 1 hour grace period to return the car that is probably the only positive thing that I can say. With regards to the deposit being credited back I have not verified that it was been rectified with my credit card company at the moment. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM>
